A cognitive shadow, also wearing a suit and tie, appears on the scene.

Do the base colors correspond to their gem's color?

So I recently started wondering what determines the color of a shardblade. Are all shardblades of the same order the same color? Are all shardblades period the same color? Does the color differ based on spren or Radiant preference?

Per this WoB
Questioner [PENDING REVIEW]
So, the Shardfork. A very versatile, Shard-whatever. Would it be possible to do, like, a Shardrock, or something, that would go in a catapult?
Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]
Yeah, it has more variety than people would think, but it isn't limitless, what they can become. But that would totally be possible.
Questioner [PENDING REVIEW]
And what would a Shardrock do if it hits you?
Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW]
Uh, bean them on the head and be really strong. If you can get into the spirit, if you can start getting past the skin and stuff, you can do some serious damage.
Blunt shardweapons are still capable of doing a lot of damage. In addition, blunt force weapons(hammers, maces) were historically not super heavy. They'd usually have a handle made of wood and a metal head weighing around three pounds, so in total, the weight would be pretty similar to a sword. The difference between a sword and a mace is balance. A sword is a weapon designed for precision and control, so the center of gravity should be in the hilt. A mace, however, is designed for raw energy, so the center of balance is in the head. Having most of the weight concentrated far away from your hand allows you build up a lot of speed in your attacks. Blunt force weapons weren't designed to be super heavy because if they weighted a lot they wouldn't be practical in battle; the soldiers ueing them would quickly tire out. Considering this, it would be relatively easy to make a viable shardhammer. Though the weapon would be less dense then a normal hammer, you could make up for this with more volume(which could very easily lead to some cartoonishly large shardhammers, coincidentially fitting the style of classic shardblades)

That's... interesting
Makes me wonder whether Odium has something more than skill on his side in shard-on-shard combat. After all, he's splintered a lot of other Shards.
Or perhaps Harmony's contradicting Intents are just more crippling than I assumed.

We know how Odium feels about picking up other shards, but do we know anything about Autonomy's feelings? What if Rayse gets killed by the end of Stormlight Archive, but Autonomy swoops in and picks up Odium to create another dual shard?
That would be terrifying. Even worse, such a dual shard would probably be able to 1v1 Harmony, since Passion and Autonomy don't contradict like Ruin and Preservation do, along with the Passion shard's memories of defeating other Shards. That would then leave Bavadin as the practically-uncontested most powerful being in the cosmere. Of course, Bavadin is kinda splintered isn't she, due to all those aspects?

It might be safer to build something that can rocket you across the cognitive realm, basically using it as a form of hyperspace.
I've seen train lines in the cognitive realms discussed

Realmatic Theory sounds more like a set of laws governing the interactions between Realms to me

Have no idea how expensive it would be to make, but a leather patch with three sleeves/pockets/loops to that attaches to the belt would be pretty cool, might be able to make it from scraps from the coat.
I immediately imaged a flat piece of leather with two loops that the belt would thread through, so that the vials are always available without the need to dig in your pouch.
I imagined something similar as well originally, but then I would have a ton of empty space in the pouch, which seems inefficient to me. As I type this I realize I could simply make the pouch smaller, and attach it to the loop contraption thing, which would probably make the most sense.

Sadly, I only had time to binge through the first three chapters.

So I was looking at Tor's website and saw a Stormlight cosplay guide. This got me thinking about my considered cosplay of a Mistborn character of mine, a twinborn lawman named Tarenwel(boring, I know :P). Here's the list of everything I need.
-Bracers: Tarenwel is a Steelrunner Ferring, meaning he'd need bracers. The bracers I'm looking at right now are these. Though they appear to be designed for the forearm, I think they'd work just fine on the upper arm as well. As an added bonus they are actual steel, though how close they are to Allomantic purity is anyone's guess(well, anyone except Brandon or Peter I suppose. They probably know). +$33
-Vials: Tarenwel is also a Seeker Misting, meaning he'd need to carry vials of bronze with him. Fortunately, Brandon actually sells vials of Allomantic metal here. +~$32(for three of them, the minimum amount I could see him carrying, plus shipping)
-Baton: As a lawman, Tarenwel carries a baton instead of a dueling cane or a gun. The one I'm thinking of for the costume can be found here. +$100
-Coins: Serving justice would be kinda difficult if you were broke, and I was probably going to get these anyways, so I added some of these babies to the costume. +$20
-Leather Coat: Part of Tarenwel's character design includes something similar to a sleeveless, simplified leather jacket. I intent to add an Allomantic Bronze symbol and a Feruchemical Steel symbol on the back. I actually intent to make this myself; I know a little bit about leatherworking, and intend to pick it up as a hobby sometime very soon. I will assume this costs about 40 dollars to make. +~$40
-Belt Pouch: Tarenwel will need something to hold his stuff in. I already have a western-themed belt, so I think I'll make a pouch type item for the coins and vials above. I'm going to assume that will cost around 20 dollars to make. +~$20
-Clothing: Tarenwel's other clothing consists of a light tank top-type shirt, simple white trousers, and boots. I'll probably use whatever my current hiking boots are for this, so no extra expense there, but I'm not sure how to get ahold of a shirt and pants that have the right "homespun" aesthetic I'm going for here. I'm going to assume both of these will cost around 20 dollars if I can find some that look right. +~$40
Estimated Total: $33 + $32 + $100 + $20 + $40 + $20 + $40 = ~$275
Of course, that's assuming I ever actually do this. Which I probably won't.
Still fun to imagine though!

Yeah a lot of the older characters are really OP. Probably the most OP one right now is Cole(Who is a Fullborn, on top of other things). Probably the most underpowered ones right now are @Prince Dusty's character and Edward.
