  1. Roshar existed Pre-Shattering! There are various WoB's on this, but here is one: We don't really know if Odium was actually the God of the Humans who came to Roshar, this WoB seems to imply that while Odium came to Roshar around the same time as Humans, he wasn't necessarily their Creator or God. I have a feeling that some of the Humans worshiped Odium, as the Thaylen Passions seem to be remnants of that worship. Edit: Ninja'd!
  2. Right there with my girl Jasnah, I'm alright with that.
  3. This is really hard for me because I resonate with totally different orders: Elsecallers for their logic and pragmatism, but also the Edgedancers because of the empathy I feel for others, especially those without voices. Purely based on powers, I'd love to fly and shoot fireballs, so Skybreakers.
  4. Tentatively, I think that Odium's magic number is 9, based on this WoB: Oathbringer Houston Signing
  5. See my post further up this page: It has been confirmed by WoB that this is an Aviar.
  6. (I just found out that I can highlight something and then it brings up a 'Quote this?' dialogue. Storms, that's useful!) The Oathgates used to be able to allow passage to and from the CR, but Honor forbade them from doing this. See Shallan's conversation with the uncorrupted Thaylen City Oathgate Spren.
  7. WoR Seattle Signing While this isn't conclusive that the Larkin are the Juveniles of the Lanceryn, but it does show that they are closely related, at the very least.
  8. From the WoB that I posted, those who do know of them see them as mythological beings, probably due to how they can feed on Stormlight and, as Obtuse mentioned, most probably the juvenile form of the Lanceryn.
  9. From Calamity Chicago Signing Emphasis added by me. Larkin are native to Roshar. They are a flying Cremling-like creature.
  10. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the Oathbringer Glasgow Signing
  11. Whoa. I hadn't even considered this. This makes a lot of sense! I like it.
  12. *Cackles maniacally* Finally, a topic that I can use my expertise on! I would like to start with the fact that I believe in the WoB about "Stormlight instead of Glucose" is based on a flaw in Brandon's understanding of Metabolism and Aerobic Respiration. As a physicist turned writer, this is absolutely understandable. So, I would like to present: Biochemist Approved Theory on Lift's Awesomeness. (Please note that only a single Biochemist currently approves of this theory) Lift can, instead of making ATP, create Stormlight from the Electron transport Chain. This explains how she can Store and Access Investiture when food isn't physically in her stomach, and how she can get Stormlight from foods that don't metabolize into Glucose (Protein-based foods). This would work similarly to Metals in Allomancy in that the ATP, when made, creates a link to the Spiritual Realm and burns away into Stormlight, which then Invests Lift.
  13. He already has, though. When he sends Kaladin off to search for survivors of Kholinar he supercharges him, although it leaves him really drained. That's the limiting factor-it wrecks Dalinar when he does it.
  14. The Arcanum is SUPER easy to use. I searched "Warbreaker + Prequel" and it immediately came up: So, Vasher and Nightblood are very much meant to be a part of Stormlight, and are in no way shimmied in for a nice cameo. They are a big part of the story and have always been.
  15. Well, Spren within Gemstones are seen in the CR (Since we see the Oathgate Spren in the CR), so I imagine Spren who are bound in a Gemheart would be similarly visible.
  16. She plays pranks pretty regularly, and if she knows that Kaladin could actually heal the injury with some effort, maybe she could? Not that she would-it does seem to be at the very edge of what would be acceptable. Sure, their KR can heal the wound, but it's still actually wounding them.
  17. Ha ha, deadcheeks! *Raspberry*
  18. Whoa. I have never seen the Moon Scepter WoB. That's HUGE.
  19. I don't have my book handy, but I believe Dalinar supercharges Kaladin when he goes off to search for the Kholinar survivors.
  20. I cried so many times throughout this book. The biggest was Dalinar defying Odium and swearing his next oath(s?). Not at the same level of hysterical sobbing as I did at Warbreaker, but that's to be expected, I think.
  21. #JasnahBestRadiant I am so glad that there is a fiercely intelligent, extremely educated, and highly capable woman in a fantasy novel, whose Awesomeness (I see you, Lift) is not tempered by being there as a sex object. I agree with the other Jasnah fangirls/guys, and they've explained how I feel particularly well.
  22. Szeth is Bonded to Nightblood, but we haven't seen anything manifest in the way of surges yet. He was a Squire, and now he is bonded to a Highspren, though we don't know its name yet.
  23. Yeah, I figured, the passage describing the ideals combined with the middle Glyph being the same for each line, which fits with the Before of the Ideal.
  24. Hey, so I wanted to be clear on something: The 9 Glyphs on the lower lefthand side, those are the First Ideal? I'm going to get the first ideal tattooed on my wrist (It's helped me a LOT with my depression), and was originally going to try and do it in the Women's Script, but I think doing it in the Glyphs would be cooler. (Although I LOVE the Women's Script as well.)
