I don't think I want to read it. Though it may be interesting once the series is finished.

Lewis saw Wita put something in his left hand. A bracelet. She closed his fingers around it and he somehow didn't drop it. Then she moved to his right hand. He wondered if more people would come into the room. She started slipping the ring off. If his blue lines failed he could probably use the guns when someone else came. His hand stopped touching the ring. Lewis couldn't suppress a cry as he fell to the ground. His arm and leg were burning with pain. A hundred thoughts crossed his mind in a flash. The leg was torture but it wasn't that bad. He remembered more shots to the arm, would he lose it? Wita was safe. She had taken the ring off without dropping him unconscious. He wasn't sure this was preferable. But above all, it was safe. But it wasn't over. He tried to pull himself together, sitting on the ground and using his good arm as support. "Thank you." Lewis managed to say. He took several deep breaths, eyes closed, trying to fight the pain. There was another thought on his mind, under all of it. The ring was off. His will was his once again, he had a mind of his own after all this time. And he decided he was happy about it. Lewis had avoided that emotion for so long but now, he felt maybe it wasn't wrong to pursue it. Did he deserve it? He wasn't sure, but he would still try. That encouraged him, he felt a newly found determination, one that didn't cloud his mind. That helped him calm down a bit. He looked up to Wita, still wincing, but more on control now. "I think that guy can help us." Lewis said, gesturing toward the man who had been at the center of the ritual. "We just have to make him tell us what they were trying to do. And how to stop it." @Sorana

I think he just doesn't like people dying, just as Kaladin. But where Kal found a way to save people he's comfortable with and involves fighting, Lirin is convinced fighting will always result in more death. It's not so much that he doesn't care who rules as he's willing to bear with it as long as people are safe. Whether Kal manages to convince him that there is a way to actually save people through fighting or not remains to be seen.

I set the house on fire once. A single year? Probably yes. It would probably backfire like, my granddaughter gets married during the year I lose or something but right now it seems like a good idea. Do you believe in ghosts?

Trails of Cold Steel (and the Kiseki series in general)
Eluvianii replied to Zurvanight's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Welcome! It's always good to have new people. We're not many but there's a bit of activity as you can see. -
Might be, but I'm not entirely convinced yet. Knowledge can change a person. Gavilar had a craving for greatness, and he achieved it through Alethkar, but then discovered that was a small thing compared to what is outside. And now he wanted that. I don't think he could accept the fact that all his achievements were meaningless in the bigger scale.
-
It seems a touch like cosmic horror to me. Gavilar says Navani wouldn't understand what he was doing, that it would be too much for her, but can he really say, becoming the person he was when he died, that it wasn't too much for him? I don't think he was fit to have the knowledge he found.

Would be great, but I wouldn't count on it. This game was supposed to be an expansion for one thing. Also, I think the extra space is so the cards fit if you use the sleeves. Hope I'm wrong though, I would love to see even more Stormlight cards.

It is in YouTube. Someone uploaded it when it came out and that is what was taken down, but now there's the official version generated by YouTube.
-
Now it makes sense.

The duel scene. Or actually, that scene is amazing but the end of that scene is kinda, you know. Sad scenes are one thing, but at least we know the characters reach some happiness (well, with Shallan that is currently debatable). The cringe on the other hand, nothing's gonna stop it. @Mistbornwithakitty @book.spren

Lewis heard noise. There were steps again. He turned bringing back the blue lines but there were no more men. Instead there was a woman. Wita. Don't hurt Wita. She wasn't dangerous. He knew that. She wasn't dangerous but this room was. It wasn't dangerous now but there could be more men. There could always be more. She was moving her mouth but he didn't understand. Did he have to make something of it? No, that wasn't important. "...ve me t..." He stopped for a moment. Words. Those were words. She was speaking. Of course! No. It wasn't important. He had to take out the men, he had to make sure he didn't hurt Wita. Nothing else mattered. "...the ring..." Ring. Ring? Was there a ring? He couldn't remember. If something was not important he didn't remember it. Rings were used on hands, right? He looked at his hand, the one he could still move. There was a ring there. Was she talking about that? No. The ring was not important. It was not important. It was not. What was not important? The men. The men were important. He had to look for them. He had to find them. Lewis moved again and. The woman was there again. Wita. Yes, the one he musn't hurt. She was extending a hand towards him. Why was that? For some reason it seemed important. Was it important? But he didn't remember it. He couldn't lift his left hand but extended the right one toward her. @Sorana

I can agree about the new perspective. It's like the first time you barely have any idea what the book is about, constantly making up new theories only for them to be crushed five pages later. Now everything is so clear. I also love WoR but there's a scene there I'm dreading.

What manner of witchcraft is this? I had never been summoned through a quote box. Well, I lost again. I once survived for like over a year but this forum doesn't allow it anymore. Good thing we're all losers in this thread.

I'll definitely check it out sometime, I just need to shorten that list a bit, but I hear a lot of good things about it.

I can relate. I make similar deals with my sister all the time. I've been meaning to watch Ladybug but my to be watched list is massive.

Chihayafuru is brilliant. I would have never believed before it that a show about poetry in cards could be so intense.

Fortunately, a paint rain started falling, revealing the mimes were trapped in actual walls and staircases.

Unfortunately, there was no universe for them to arrive to.
