Currently at the battle at the end of Act 1. Laura is missing quite literally all of her attacks, the rest barely do scratches, and the boss can lower the strength stat. This is gonna take a while.

Granted. Every game you play with them has stronger consequences than you are prepared for, and it's impossible to prove it's not just a big coincidence. Lost a game of poker to a friend? Maybe you won't get that important job you applied for. Or maybe you just suspended all your tests at school. You won? Hey, you just found a winning lottery ticket! For me it probably would be Sophisticated Fight and The Glint of Cold Steel. Get Over the Barrier has a lot of charm but at this point I think about that one more as a boss theme. May have to add CS2's theme to that list as it's growing on me fast. It's really good, if a little too synthesised. On that front, started CS2. I'm a little too hooked right now. I hope it fades away a little, otherwise I'll finish the game before I save up enough for CS3.

Not a theory, but a thing I noticed after compulsively listening to the final boss theme. I swear I hear just a little bit of Shine of Eidos in it. Actually, I could also swear that I hear the lyrics saying Shine of Eidos at one point. Don't think it has any relevance but I feel paranoid about it.

Was that on hard? Because I played on normal and it felt almost impossible to lose. Your HP goes down really slowly and you have two free heals. There was rng involved but it was really tame. As a side note:
