  1. Maaaaaaybe Although they'd be astral cookies so the pandas could neither eat them nor accidentally charge them should some thoughtless person leave metal spikes in them
  2. Just a thought Kobold but if Neverthere ever takes a more active role in helping 'Wardy' then she could maintain contact between him and Backtrack while he's stuck from the besieging Panda army.
  3. "I have an Epic in my service who would love an airheaded young woman to toy with for a few hours. So please, begin explaining before I return to the Museum with a nice present for him." Neverthere rolled here eyes at Lightwards. "You know what? You don't get a cool nickname anymore." She said, eyeing one of the nearby dinosaurs with great interest. "Oooh, cool pets. Can I call him Numnums?" She continued on without waiting for an answer. "I just thought you might like to know that your boring old museum is going to be attacked tonight along with Corpsey's place and the nerd town." Something at the school caught the attention of her real body, her concentration wavered causing her projection to dissipate slowly into smoke. "Refill! The Thoughttown Epics have left their base" Muffle yelled as he burst into the room, quickly seeking out the leader of the Minor Epics. "BioMed sent me on ahead to tell you, he says they've left themselves basically defenseless." Neverthere sent herself back to where she'd left the Necromancer. "Actually" She said as the smoke reformed into her body again a few scant seconds after it had collapsed. "It seems that the attack on ThoughtTown may happen even sooner. Apparently some thoughtless person convinced all the Epics to leave." She giggled and immediately forgot her anger. "Have you been naughty Wardy?"
  4. Other than an unhealthy fascination with shiny pointy things and the accumulation of Investiture, nope.
  5. This do Mailliw?
  6. And then Nighthound died?
  7. Vin and Kelsier both at some point held control over a Shard, Shard beats Avatar mode by a long shot, other than their most extreme modes I'd probably say Avatars win, depending upon availability of Atium.
  8. Did you want to do a Lucentia POV Edge or shall I just post for Neverthere again?
  9. I actually have no ideas for a quote :/ "YOU TOOK CONTROL OF MY BODY?" keeps popping into my head but it might be a little weird. Vondra rules the Dalles now, employing a number of Epics.
  10. Any chance of a PP file Kobold? I think everyone just takes a sadistic pleasure in watching Backtrack suffer. I have no idea.
  11. Any Epic can hide, that's not a PI, projection just allows gathering of information while still hiding, it doesn't actually help you not get killed in any way. The solution to the invisibility deaths is to not step on grenades or dinosaurs It's still way harder to assasinate someone who's invisible than it is someone who can astral project.
  12. Scrolling through my lists of Epics an oddly high number of them contain the phrase 'not as extreme as Funtimes' Somehow I'm going to convert whackiness of appearance into an objective scale using Funtimes as a benchmark. 'Neverthere had an appearance of approximately 2 microFuntimes' whackiness.'
  13. Epic name: Neverthere Powers: Astral Projection (T1)- can project an illusion of herself anywhere within a 50km radius, the illusion is capable of speech but cannot otherwise interact with physical objects, will blur into mist if touched. Neverthere receives all sensory information as she would if she were actually in her illusions position. Appearance: A young woman of 22 years of age, Neverthere commonly wears a t-shirt and skirt with no shoes, preferring bright colours such as pink (Somewhat less extreme than Funtimes) she continues to wear glasses even after becoming an Epic due to her former shortsightedness, her illusion is always an exact copy and so wears the same clothes as she does. MO: Bubbly and annoying Neverthere acts in an extremely irritating manner to both Vanillas and Epics, she has little to no fear of any confrontations as she uses her projection for most interactions with others. Edit: Currently wearing a pink t-shirt with a black skirt and has a pen resting on her ear.
  14. Yes the illusion can gather information, sorry got distracted by my Epic scholar self Neverthere herself is still sitting in MEE headquarters spacing out during the conversation. I just wouldn't even classify it as a PI though, Neverthere herself is still just as vulnerable as anyone else, invisibility is way better as a PI, so why should it be lower? :S Well it's just making me that much more eager for Firefight to come out
  15. I've been rating it in my system as a tier 1 ability (The lowest rank of abilities, inverted from Tia's) although Regalia can 'interact' using her projection, NeverThere's is essentially an illusion, it's interaction is limited to speaking, so I imagine that drops the class level right down, and no she doesn't have any PI. That class system is really weird, it's ranking complete hydrokinesis lower than Astral Projection? Apparently flooding an entire city is less powerful than being able to appear somewhere without actually being there. EDIT: And actually thinking about it, if it's David's class system then Refractionary's personal invisibility is the same level as Regalia's city-flooding?
  16. Oh sorry, thought I posted her bio but apparently not. She's an Astral projection Epic, hence why she's not worried about getting murdered by a nearby raptor, if anyone does attack her the body will collapse into smoke and then reform.
  17. Mistborn shoots coin, Jedi blocks, coin turns into molten slag, mistborn keeps pushing on it, Jedi has molten metal on his face. Mistborn wins.
  18. Yeah she tends to have that effect, that's why she's never there for the repercussions. I think it would make more sense for Lucentia to interrupt first, Lightwards seems more the type to just go into a silent rage while figuring out how to deal with the latest insanity, Lucentia seems more like the type who'd try to shoot a leg off with some diamonds and then ask what the Sparks was going on
  19. There'll probably be some post-departure regret on the twins part too. Just a thought, how's he getting past the panda army?
  20. If he heads back now then yeah they'll probably stay behind in the Dalles.
  21. It was the er... the spambots! Yes darn those spambots! Take no notice of my continued references to my studies in web development and programming.
  22. I'll probably garner a bit of hate for this but WB was actually one of my least favourite of Brandons novels, still awesome of course but it's currently rated below Elantris, Mistborn, Stomlight, Rithmatist and Steelheart for me.
  23. And the MEE suffers its first of many, many deaths to come
  24. Neverthere approached the Necromancer swiftly, skipping merrily along the street, her hair and clothes remaining eerily still despite the speed of her passage and the light evening breeze. He was accompanied by an odd group of followers, what seemed to be an old Stage magician flanked by a displeased looking young lady, and on Lightwards' other side possibly the most haughty woman that Neverthere had ever seen, somehow carrying what appeared to be an arm made of pure diamond with unsurpassable grace and arrogance. A quick mental skim of her internal list of the cities major Epics revealed no known links to these followers, although the haughty lady was either Lucentia the diamond queen or else someone attempting to imitate her to leech off of her reputation. Neverthere skipped merrily up to the group and yelled a greeting. "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelooooooooo!" She said, pausing as they turned to regard her. "Lightwards I presume?" She rattled on obliviously " Mind if I call you LW? Or Elldubs? Hmm... Wardy? Ah we'll figure it out, and who have we here? Lucentia? Ooooh! Lucy! I always wanted a friend called Lucy, and um... Houdini?" She was met by four perplexed stares. His eyes opened slowly, analyzing everything in his vicinity. Alley, darkness, shadows of course, linked to capabilities. Woman, Edwardian dress, Epic? Yes likely. Assailant? Unlikely, no signs of hostility. Tea set? Linked to powers? Shelve idea til further information incoming. Blood, likely assailants. "Good day to you kind sir. I am Saccharine, formerly Marigold Carlisle. How very good to meet you." The woman greeted. Carlisle? Familiarity. Old name, need new name. Personality type? Analytical. Theme-name? Unknown, needs further reflection. "Greetings Saccharine" He said, taking the proffered plate. "I am formerly Jeff Carlisle, at present I am unnamed." He took a bite of the slice, a sensation of warm familiarity infused him. "And apparently I enjoy caramel slice."
  25. If that's ok, Mrs. Voidus will just do a post for Saccharine quickly and then I'll get one up.
