  1. Welcome to our little corner of the net, looking forward to seeing you around! If anyone tries to warn you about cookies don't listen to them, I mean what kind of evil people hate cookies!? Be sure to check out the cosmere 101 thread!
  2. Steelheart, Koschei and Corpsemaker walk into a bar. And then Nighthound died.

Because Nighthound can never die too many times.

  3. ... ... ... Inquisi-chidnas Ok, all personnel to R & D immediately, this needs to happen RIGHT SPIKING NOW!
  4. Impact trailed behind Backtrack and Autumn with her sister, who had at least stopped glaring death at every passing soldier. Note to self: Next time Megan won't shut up, get an army to attack the city. The volley of arrows had been immense, even with Epic abilities Impact had no idea how such an attack could be executed, if it was an army why would they use Arrows? If it was an Epic then either they had some bizzarely specific abilities or else they were working in theme. Why do they always work in theme? We get it, you read too many comic books as a child, now can you please stop blasting buildings into the shape of the green lantern symbol? MV seemed to be engrossed in trying to overhear the conversation between Backtrack, she barely noticed when a piece of ash from the distant blazes smeared itself across her cheek, Impact rubbed it off herself while her sister continued to Eavesdrop. Lucy Lockser bolted upright as she heard the alarms, she'd been sleeping after taking a night shift with the city guard but since the day that Koschei the Deathless had invaded the Dalles she'd been a light sleeper, many was the night that a stray cat making a noise outside had caused Lucy to barricade her bedroom door while holding the knife she'd secreted underneath her bed. This noise however she instantly recognized for what it was, the city alarms. She tossed her covers aside and ran to her wardrobe, hastily throwing her uniform on before running to her radio and tuning through the static. "Epics move to the front line at city borders. Repeat: This is not a drill. The Dalles is under attack." Lucy raced down the stairs and waved a quick goodbye to her parents as she grabbed her writing case and bolted through the front door. The sting of smoke met her eyes immediately, nearby houses ablaze released a torrent of choking smoke throughout the neighborhood, a water chain had already formed to keep it from spreading until the fire department arrived. Lucy took a look around, half the city was on fire. It seemed that the fire department would have their hands full tonight.
  5. So do you want to post Breathtaker? Or shall we skip ahead to the boss fight?
  6. Little known fact, Brandon ends all his classes at BYU by reminding students to always end stories with 'and then Nighthound died'
  7. Steelheart, Koschei and Corpsemaker walk into a bar. And then Nighthound died.
  8. Yay! Matching canon and headcanon! I think that PP and Saccharine are done for the night unless anyone wants to interrupt their first night together in the year they've been apart? Except Nighthound. Nighthound is not allowed to interrupt ever.
  9. Yeah blonde, ginger looks weird in my head now Out of interest what colour is Funtimes' hair? Underneath all the glitter
  10. Nathan's a ginger? >That moment of cognitive disparity where your imaginative version of things is contradicted by canon.
  11. Although not as much of a concern as whether or not you'd still get pancakes at the local Beardapalooza if you only have a mustache.
  12. You forgot 'while falling out of a helicopter'
  13. I assume he'd at least need Line of Sight, I imagine that Vondra and his soldiers all probably carry a few flash grenades around to stun Epics with.
  14. Reader: Well I hope you enjoyed that extra portion of bamboo you snuck out! Panda: Glances disinterestedly, continues eating. Reader: This was much more fun with subjects who did something other than sleep and eat...
  15. Somehow you've come up with a powerset which is completely distinct from all 600 or so of my Epic ideas, kudos, I'm finding myself stagnating at this point. Wouldn't the panda just get shot to pieces by his guards though? Come to that wouldn't Reader get shot to pieces by his guards?
  16. Welcome to our little corner of thee interwebs, where you will find much in the way of insanity, cookies, ponies and Hemalurgical mosters Nope, just the cookies and ponies. Nothing to see here. You might want to have a look at our Cosmere 101 Thread, it covers a lot of the basics of how all the books are linked and such.
  17. Steel Narwhisitors. Hmmm... Who's free to work on R & D?
  18. Neverthere giggled at Lucys question. "Why should you trust me? You shouldn't Lucy, if you look for me I'm Never there!" She burst into a fit of giggles at this point, her insubstantial body heaving in air. She wiped a tear from her eye as she finished. "I'm telling you because I like dinosaurs, and I like floating museums, and because I like LW and Lucy. But I suppose the most important reason I'm telling you is that I'd rather live as a traitor than die an honest person. Refill caught my attention with his talk of all us less powerful Epics striking out on our own but I know something he doesn't, I've seen all the leaders and he doesn't stand a chance against them. So for now I'm just giving my favourite bunch of Epics an edge in tonights proceedings. Tomorrow you might see me, you might not, but wherever I am, I'm NeverThere." She gave a final wave and giggle before transporting herself elsewhere. Time to watch the fireworks at ThoughtTown. Refill strode down the street, his battalion trailing behind him he approached the prepared staging area for the attack, he ducked into an alley near ThoughtTowns border. "This is it, our first serious blow to these High Epics who have been lording it over us" He said to the assembled Epics and their human bodyguards. "Synesthesia, Dodgeball, Disrupt, you're frontline, Synesthesia will shroud you in darkness and silence while you take out the border guards, then Growthspurt can get us past the perimeter while our soldiers cover him. Once we're inside, you'll split into groups of two with a guard of 5 soldiers, your goal is simply to cause as much destruction as you can and then pull out. I will enter the main compound to find anyone important they've left behind, and leave them a surprise or two." Refill took a deep breath, ready to plunge himself and his Epics firmly into a war with one of the largest factions of Epics in the state. "This will be the first step, the first step towards us ruling ourselves again as we should, taking back this city, we will strike while they are weak. They have left themselves defenseless against us. Tonight my friends, we will teach the soldiers of Thought Town to think twice before calling any of us 'minor' again!"
  19. Not sure how much knowledge an informant could uncover about Reader since he'd instantly know if someone was an informant and would probably report them or just talk to them until they wished he'd report them. :/ Don't forget to add them to the Epics of Oregon thread when you make them and clear them all with Twilyght, although I think pretty much any level of Epics are fair game in the Dalles at the moment, unlike Portland which is low-to-mid levels only.
  20. They only know of the original three, Scorch, AM and Flashpoint I figured that since TT already has a strong military presence it would be harder for spies to infiltrate and learn about all the new Epics. I might do an intro post for Scribbler as she makes her way to the front lines too.
  21. Pink Pinkness: People make fun of my name! *Bursts into tears*
  22. Later that night at the Springfield bar. Reader: Worst day ever, I lost all of my cups, then my secret stash got destroyed and then the only thing I could drink was water! Backtrack: I got shot in the arm! Oregonian: Why don't you both cry a river? It might help to, you know stop the fire that just burned down a hundred or so houses...
  23. And then just as Reader was finally alone and about to enjoy his wine an arrow flew through his window and broke his last goblet.
  24. Not usually, I think we're just waiting for someone to take the leap and do the next post, I think it's either Mail-mi, Kobold or Twi up next to wrap up the Backtrack/Reader/Autumn situation.
  25. Because what Backtrack really needs in his life right now is Hemalurgy
