Well for mental illusionists my thoughts are that they wouldn't really notice anyway, if say they tried to punch the illusion they'd feel the collision and their brain would just believe that wherever their hand stopped is where the illusion is. That's pretty much what Neverthere is, though she doesn't try to pretend to be incorporeal very often.

Very little that's anywhere close to coherent, I've started a half dozen stories but I've never found any that really stuck with me enough that I got it to something more polished, it's usually just a ton of worldbuilding with perhaps a couple of chapters. Only once to see what happened.

I enjoy the irony of swearing an oath of fealty to the empire then joining the dark brotherhood and murdering the emperor.

Tier 5 is having multiple sensory powers at the highest level and altering more obscure senses such as pain, balance hunger and thirst over a wide area. So they could cause an entire city to go blind and deaf and feel nothing but pain. Mental illusionists are hallucinatory, as Blackhoof said they have more in common with mind controlling Epics which we learned a bit about in the recent AMA so I have my suspicions on what the similarities would be. Well if David noticed those differences it means they exist, most lorists probably just don't think they're important enough to note. Not more powerful just different. You could see through a mental illusionist by using a video camera but not a photonic illusionist.

That'd be around tier 4 in my headcanon system, possibly tier 5 but I only use tier 5 in Steelheart/Obliteration level of OP. Tier 4: Capable of affecting a wide range of senses in a useful manner or having the ability to manipulate one sense to the maximum possible degree. Eg. Manipulating touch, sounds and sight to create a far more interactable version of the illusionist to act as a proxy, as a hallucination rather than a straight up illusion this would be even more convincing, the subjects mind compensating for any events that would otherwise expose the illusion for what it is. Eg2: Manipulating sight to the extreme, capable of leaving a permanent hallucination in his subject long after the Epic himself is gone, can cause permanent blindness.

Here is a thread for asking our beloved vashikaran magic residents questions. But you're only allowed to ask one question and that question is: Can you please stop spamming our forum, no one is ever going to give you money for anything, so could stop wasting everyones time and just stop please?

Depends how strong you want him to be, I use a five tiered system and I have general powersets for the more common abilities like illusions of fire-benders at each tier so I can share some of my ideas on that but as far as I know we don't have any canon examples of mental illusionists or any WoB about them though presumably they share similar limitations to mind controllers which we asked about a bit.

Riot someones sense of fear, randomly push and pull on pen nibs at their desk so they keep getting lost. Occasionally use a super powerful push to send their work flying across the room. Congratulations. Your friend/enemy now believes they are haunted by a ghost with some unfinished pen-related business

The lyrics never made me uncomfortable, I don't mind people professing their faith (Though personally I believe faith should be a perosnal issue, not something that you loudly profess in public but given that hymns usually occur in church they're in a room full of like minded people anyway so I suppose that makes sense to foster community,) It's just the whole expectation that everyone joins in that troubles me. I've never asked anyone to sing aloud that there is no god if they believe that there is, or passed judgement upon people for refusing to do so. I know it's not everyone in the congregations who does it but there are definitely quite a few people who will silently stare and judge you if you're not singing along and it just makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable, I don't mind going to church and listening to sermons or even bowing my head when others are praying but I'm not going to profess to believe something that I don't believe and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

At a quick glance approximately 12 of my Epics are notorious eaters of cookies, the only confirmed sockwearer amongst them is: Seargent Cookiefoot A Healing High Epic capable of sending shockwaves from his hands strong enough to level buildings. Someone once discovered that his socks had pictures of cookies on them and from then on he was known as Seargent cookiefoot, destroying his reputation as a destructive High Epic. Seargent Cookiefoot has vowed a lifelong crusade to find the originator of this name and end them once and for all... Yes, don't create bloodthirsty unstoppable juggernauts of doom until after you've also built a containment measure for them, otherwise you may end up with several fewer limbs. Turns out that cutte as they may be beforehand endowing a lamb with unspeakable strength, an unquentiable bloodthirst and rapid healing both angers them and makes them difficult to prevent squishing your face.

Well now that we have our own AMA subforum I might as well make a personal one as well so go ahead, ask me anything from my favourite type of cookie to how I come up with so many thousands of Epic ideas to whether or not I am currently wearing socks.

Jumping on the bandwagon here and though I'm sure everyone wants to ask me about my secret cookie recipe I thought an AMA for the RPers of the What happened in Oregon roleplay might be of more interest. So, ask us anything. What's with the ponies, why are there so many pugs, how did you all seemingly lose your minds at the same exact time? Or you could ask us what our favorite Epic is or something boring like that.

I identify as an agnostic atheist, which tends to raise issues with people who use a different definition of agnosticism. It's fairly common among atheists I know since they both have greek roots, atheism comes from the greek for god and literally means 'without gods' although it originally referred to anyone who believed in different gods rather than those who didn't believe in any. Agnostic on the other hand comes from the greek word gnostos which means 'to be known' and so an agnostic is literally someone who doesn't believe the answer can be known. So basically I don't believe in any gods but believe that can never be known with any certainty, there are an infinite number of conceivable gods and no one could ever attempt to prove that none of them exist. That's a belief system known as Deism actually, the belief in a non-specific creating entity. Agnosticism means a lot of things to a lot of people. I get in religious discussion online quite a bit and I have to say that I find pagans to have some of the most diverse and interesting beliefs and we tend to get along fairly well since many pagans used to be agnostic or atheist. Agreed on the hymns though, I went to a Lutheran high school and I always felt incredibly uncomfortable during them. Some beliefs claim so but personally I believe it to be a bit of a cop-out, it reduces gods love to moral tyranny, morality then is simply obedience.

It might not actually cause someone to act on it but make someone feel lustful every time they walk past a palm tree and they're certainly going to notice and get some confused feelings. Riot someones feelings of awkwardness or nervousness every time they're about to say something, watch them stumble over their sentence due to nerves and promptly become even more embarassed. Burn pewter every time you meet one of those guys with the crushing handshake. Proceed to break his hand.

It's pretty bad manners to say you shot a character in the head without permission anyway but I get your point. So yes that works as just a dangersense PI but without powers limited dangersense like that is pretty useless, Fortuity it seemed could predict at least several seconds in advance and didn't someone ask him to predict something about the coming day? It also kindof negates his whole spy character if it's just a dangersense, I really don't think the time travel thing is that big a deal, I even had a character called Rewind who could loop time in a somewhat similar manner that I think Twi used in backstory somewhere.
