How are all these Worldhoppers Getting Around?
Voidus replied to Magestar's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Side note: Nightblood is not necessarily the most heavily Invested, especially not if we count people, also we have WoB that he could do some interesting things so there may be more to him than we have seen. -
We also know that there are weaknesses composed of links to a fear rather than the fear itself, Newton for example feared disappointing her parents but her weakness wasn't literally for her parents to be disappointed. It was being complimented, so simply reminding someone with a death fear that Epics still age and eventually die might be enough to trigger a weakness, or failing to believe that the Epic is truly immortal, etc. It's closer to: An Epics weakness cannot completely prevent them from using their power. For instance you couldn't be an Epic with the ability to breathe underwater and have water as your weakness.

I meant deflecting a main shell, not machine gun fire. But yeah they could probably deflect those as well, they're far less accurate so the ability to nudge them to one side is far higher than with a rifle aimed directly at you. They generate enough to leap ontop of things pretty regularly. And you wouldn't use regular explosives, you'd use anti-armour weapons of some kind but even regular explosives could throw the tracks off enough to severely hinder it.

'Destroy Evil' A particularly troubling intent for a sword since it has no conception of what 'evil' is. -
I assume you mean enter Shadesmar totally. As for being as OP as Feruchemical steel, maybe? But you'd also destroy the land completely and render it unable to be used. And probably kill the Elsecaller by attracting a bunch of painspren and worse.

My full scenario was specified as pre HoA post destruction of FE. But even before HoA in general Atium was pretty limited. Yes they know where to get more but that'll take time. I doubt there'd be as many as a million, there's far fewer Parshmen than there are regular citizens, Darkeyes don't have any and most Lighteyes don't have a bunch to make up for it they just have a few. They'd be closely matched but then give the Scadrians Kandra and Inquisitors too don't forget, and they're both far better than Parshmen and Voidbringers we've seen.

Depends on the medium it's travelling through. Other than that I have no idea, I would say they travel at the same speed through a vacuum but I might be unaware of some weird wibbly wobbly quantumy wantumy stuff going on.

Maybe let them visit if they're guided in by a member of that house? I don't see them just letting slytherins wander gryffindor tower.

"Your person has some handwavium? Awesome! I'm all out of it, myself. Say, do you think I could trade (Wayne-style) some Unobtanium for that?" "Wait" Voidus interrupted. "You obtained some Unobtainium?!?" ... "Well that makes sense."

Well they can't fill an area with enough bullets that theres no place within that space that is safe, and if there is a safe spot the Mistborn will be in it. Duralumin would probably be needed but deflecting it wouldn't be as hard as full on stopping it so maybe not. Well they don't need Atium to dodge, it's just easier if they do. In terms of actually destroying the tank, steelpush ontop of the tank, blow tank up, profit.

Yep. That's why I still feel like I should apologize for Metronome, my compulsion to make a cool strong Epic just took me too far and now he's just far too OP to handle.

You'd give guns to archers? Not just use the already trained Marksmen from Scadrial? I'm pretty sure any Elsecaller who figured out how to create U235 or antimatter would not live to share their experience.
-
That's why my scenario is pre-HoA, before controlling Kandra, Koloss or Inquisitors is possible, no Seers and highly limited Atium. And even then they still only lose against pre-recreance Roshar. I agree it needs to be skewed for Roshar to win. And Allomancers specialize in assasination and theft, knock of KRs when they're not infused, steal their gems, they all die easily. But even in a straight fight Allomancers only lose if its set during the final empire, before any of the newer metals are known. I don't, because if we assume that Voidbringers fight for Roshar then we have to give Scadrial all the Koloss, Kandra and Inquisitors again which means they definitely win.

Technically Seons aren't splinters, their aons are.
-
To be fair that's true of a bunch of different powers. Laser based attacks for instance could technically kill people faster than he could. Being able to kill a large amount of people quickly isn't that unusual for an Epic.

I might be able to take it up, but I'm somewhat busy this week so I might not be able to post much.

Hey! He did his best. Lightwards broke supervillain protocol and killed him mid-monologue.

Or it's just supposed to stand for superheroes. But yeah I've always thought it was the same as what Twi said, stylized Superman symbol.

Blowing over it, talking to their spren, related concepts I suppose. Some spren are smarter than others.
