    "Woah, sixth year?" Jarrad exclaimed, eyes going wide in admiration before he reigned his emotions in again. "Uh, cool I guess. So you've been here a while, that must have been cool." He said as he leaned back into his seat nonchalantly again. Nice save. But I need to make a good impression here, he's a sixth year so he'll be hard to impress. "Ugh, the suns so bright out today." He said quickly, before noticing that it was actually slightly overcast now. Jinx it! Always check before you say it! Half-vampires check the weather first! He pulled a red lollipop out of his trunk to save himself from having to talk anymore, he'd tried an actual blood-pop once and it was disgusting but he'd found a brand that looked similar while still just tasting of strawberry instead.

    With lord Dupin at her side her power is LIMITLESS!!!! But yeah, enough preparation time and she can do a heck of a lot of damage. Luckily at the moment she's more on the path to redemption than corruption, unluckily Calamity is a bastard and could undo all of that in a second if she has to overuse her powers again any time soon.

    This is why I just get my news from the wikipedia homepage, actual world events without needless speculation is all I want in my news. But hey, let's all just keep criticizing everyone younger than you, it's not like it's possible for them to actually be having a tougher time or anything right? They're all jobless freeloaders because they are just too lazy, it couldn't have anything to do with the job market or economy or anything...

    Wax only uses a faint push because he's in an urban environment, otherwise he'd be sending cutlery flying all the time. We're talking about taking a tank in a head on fight, unless the tank caught you by surprise you'd be using far stronger pushes. Also, Wax is usually against riflemen, deliberately aiming at him, which are far, far more accurate than machine-gun fire at a distance.

    I'd say we probably shouldn't canonize it one way or the other, I like it being just another of the RPs mysteries. Like: How do Impacts clothes stay on when she flies? How is Backtrack still alive? Why haven't the people of the world unanimously elected Funtimes as empress of the world, to be assisted by her trusted general Blueberry?

    Serena mulled the question over in her mind, it wasn't the type of question she was used to from teachers or practise exercises. Not something that she could answer by referring to a book. Who was Serena outside of school? "Outside of school? I guess I'm still what you might call a nerd. But I'd say I'm an adventurer and a pioneer. But above all, I'm just a curious witch who wants to know the answer to everything." She answered as honestly as she could. "Oh and my favourite ice cream flavour is chocolate."     But then they wouldn't be able to use Aons at all, Aons without the chasm line don't have a small effect, they don't have any effect at all. For Elantrians still using Aons before fixing Elantris? The last third or so of Elantris has quite a few examples.

    Elantris just enhances the effect it doesn't create it, hence why they could still use Aons before fixing Elantris.

    Just to quickly chime in on the super-intelligence thing, the problem with writing any character with super intelligence is that it's impossible to do accurately unless you yourself are just as if not more intelligent, and I don't think I'm insulting anyone by saying I don't think any of us are on the level that's being described here where it's leagues beyond some of the brightest minds to ever exist. Even Taravangian, who is the one character of Brandons that actually does have super intelligence, is only ever written about when he's of relatively normal intelligence, we only see the effects of that intelligence, we don't get an actual viewpoint or know what his real plans were. Because of course if one of his readers could find a flaw in that plan or his reasoning it instantly breaks the character. I'm happy on things like faster processing speed, so they can bullet time or whatnot, or even better computational abilities so they can do maths in their head quickly or something but just general enhanced 'intelligence' is going to be pretty impossible, even moreso than a full on precog would be.

    Yeah given that a simple Duralumin Atium burn was enough to see through the actions of the Shards themselves I'd say that it's probably not going to be hugely affected by Investiture resistance.

    Alethkar is one of the more populous contries and they employed drafting so 1/10 isn't unreasonable and they only came up with a couple hundred thousand. Soulcasters can support armies but we haven't seen them used to support regular citizens.

    Yes but you only need to move it a few inches to the side, it needs to travel a few hundred meters to hit you, even assuming the bullet is very heavy (Say a kg to be extreme) the acceleration is going to be about 980m/s/s Your example gave about 800 m/s as the speed of the bullet (give or take) Say the Allomancer can start pushing at around 80 meters that gives about 1/10 of a second to push it out the way, in that time the force on the bullet would have accelerated it to an average speed of 49m/s which would move it about 5 meters out of the way during that time. Now that would only be if all the Allomancers force was applied to lateral motion, which it wouldn't be, but given that most bullets are around a hundred times lighter than that, I'm hoping I don't need to do a bunch of trig to explain how this could work.

    I think that's less messing with people and more world domination, that's a whole different thing. As for me I'd just wait in the toilets and Soulcast everyones pants into solid gold. Then they can't pee but at least they now have a pair of pants worth several thousand dollars if they can take them off. Or Awaken peoples shoelaces to tie together. Or use Fabrials to levitate peoples beds in the middle of the night to freak them out. Or, use Feruchemical steel, sneakily perform a sub-dermal implant operation on people, put a Fabrial in their fist then make them punch themselves in the face.

    A hundred million? I'd pretty highly doubt that. Like 10 million, maybe? The land wouldn't support a hundred million, not with the Highstorms.

    Voidus is tired. I keep forgetting that having mod priveleges at work is not the same thing as having them on the 17th Shard, if I leave a snarky edit on something at work it's not going to be taken anywhere nearly as well as the amusing edit conversations I've had in the past.

    Yes but Wax deflects a bullet going straight on, deflecting a bullet already fired at an angle is pretty easy actually, you just need to apply enough force for the horizontal translation, it doesn't matter what force the bullet is already fired at since you're not opposing that force just shifting it. And the weight of a person is more than enough to nudge a bullet like that to the side.
