  1. Dustbringer hands down
  2. @jklburns it was all about posturing and politics there was zero expectation of a royal child all that they needed was for it to appear that there had been one. War served no one's purposes as it would have been a waste on both sides. Not to mention that the Idrians in the city would have raised hell if Idris were attacked. Lets face it as it was the priesthood in Hallendren needed to continue to cement their control over their people. How better to do that than to end tensions between themselves and the Idrians? They could also be sure that if there were a returned child to be had that they would find said child. Their resources being as substantial as they are would ensure it. Event the appearance of a royal heir would solidify their control by finally granting them legitimacy that they craved. In short control was what they were after.
  3. Hrathen is an excellent character I also found Dilaf to be a fascinating study in how grief can twist a person.
  4. When the weekend is a curse from the Nightwatcher because it is too far from Tuesday.
  5. Or alternatively not. It felt right for the character.
  6. Behold I am a sealer of blood with Halloween ornaments as pets! Fear me!
  7. Kalladin he would lash him to the ground so many times that his armor would shatter. Who would write the best computer virus Lopen or Susebron?
  8. The theory is an interesting one which would yield rather interesting results should it prove true, however I have several problem to pose here. Firstly lets assume that he does step down for those who are more capable. I doubt that 1) a democratic form of government will magically appear hence a power struggle will ensue and further chaos will be created.2) If he steps down that he will last very long first rule of consolidating power kill any potential threats to said power. He as the abdicating king is a dead man from the moment that he surrenders the throne which will end him long before he can attract the proper spren. 3) At this point the leap that will be needed to move his character from where he is to a place where he begins to listen and perhaps consider abdication in any real sense is enormous. I'm not sure that I see him as someone who is able to make that jump without a massive push in that direction. While it could happen it seems to me that he is more of a supporting player than someone who has any meaningful role to play considering how the world that he knows has come to an end. I hope that maybe he can be more than what we see because the room for growth exists, but at this point I just don't see it happening.
  9. Oh I agree that the man is less than crem and deserved his fate, but at the same time I feel that there is far more to say about this underrated villain.
  10. I suppose I might have to go with Roshone on this one. I mean yes on the one hand the man deserved everything that came to him and more, but without him could or would Kal have ever become a radiant? Would he even be the kind of person that we have come to know and love if everything had been flowers and sunshine?
  11. I hugged a herald and I liked it: the true story of the a girl and her voidbringer Man reunited with murdered wife, what happened next will shock you. Chasmfiend the musical; or Hoid's guide to dancing
  12. Most correct it is far more impressive with slight changes. I suppose I got carried away with my power. Nice hodgepodge signature it reveals a fertile and eclectic mind. 8/10
  13. I am hoping that wonder woman gets the nod this year it was a pretty awesome movie.
  14. Horneater Lager!!!
  15. We know based on a WoB that what happened to Lift was out of the ordinary. So the character Lift, with her powers, why does she only have to eat food instead of sucking in stormlight? BRANDON SANDERSON So Lift is a really weird one. She visited the Old Magic and asked something very strange, and the Old Magic didn’t know how to treat that, and so answered with something equally strange. So you will actually see what happened with Lift and things like that, but suffice it to say some really weird things are going on. As was stated we don't know enough about how the old magic works to determine what would happen if in fact the powers mixed.
  16. What a combo the worldhopper, the merc with the mouth, and the mad scientist. Hoid v. Deadpool the fight of any century with Doc. Brown as the referee. 9/10
  17. When it comes to Elokhar I neither love him nor hate him. In fact even though he is only a minor character I feel as though I should genuinely care about him. The fact is I am apathetic towards him. I think that his demand for respect really killed any glimmer of feeling post the assassination attempt. He is stuck in a rut of his own creation which he makes no attempt to change. Instead of taking the fact that he is the king and as was pointed out possibly a capable duelist and channeling what little he has towards something constructive he whines about how he is not respected and how Dalinar is usurping his power. He is an overgrown manchild who seems incapable of doing anything about the situation that he and Alethkar find themselves in. It was pointed out that he could have been a diplomat, a duelist, an administrator or anything that he wanted really, but he did none of those things. Instead he uses his title as an excuse to demand that which he has done nothing to earn he has almost literally no redeeming qualities. I would not be surprised if he only let the darkeyes into the arena in a vain attempt to win them over. To me he is all about personal vanity and childish demands. Redemption in my eyes will not come easily. Become a squire to Kaladin pull yourself up and maybe just maybe redemption is possible.
  18. Many. He's been active for decades. The new movie IT is based on one of his books. When you dont want to take notes so you breath out and command your pen to write things.
  19. Welcome @EmmaExtraordinary to the perpendicularity of Brandon the gateway to everything and anything Sanderson. We look forward to hearing your theories and speculations concerning the cosmere and other areas of his lore. Enjoy yourself and have an upvote.
  20. Nonso Anozie has the correct build and the voice is solid for it so I would totally nominate him for Dalinar.
  21. Kalladin, he picks technical things rather quickly. Who would be more likely to get hooked on video games Moash or Dilaf?
  22. Thank you. I have the manuscript though I have yet to read it. Maybe now I have more incentive to do so. Than you. Now I have learned a new piece of cosmere trivia and I have incentive to read aether of the night.
  23. yes please!! "Don't trip on your shardblade amraam!!" @WhiteLeeopard wouldn't you just love to see Kal and Kel team up to tee off on Amraam?
  24. I feel stupid for having to ask this, but what is an aether?
  25. it is most unlikely, but it would be awesome "Amaraam meet Shaizan!!"
