  1. I guess it could be, but Kaladin cuts him in both versions. And besides, I'm fairly sure Szeth actually does cut Kaladin first in that fight.
  2. The logic of it makes perfect sense now that I think about it, Stormlight was just always the best cosmere healing in my headcanon until I read that chapter for some reason. On the topic of this thread, Feruchemical gold is way more OP and suspension-of-disbelief breaking.
  3. No problem. I've seen quite a bit of good fan art of Bridge Four, but none with armor, unfortunately. I'd draw it myself, but the extent of my talent is doodling a chull cart on my stats notes.
  4. I'm sure we'll all need them with all the crazy theories flying in every direction
  5. When the bridgemen go to Dalinar's Quartermaster to get their new uniforms near the beginning of WoR, he talks about armor: Pg 61
  6. I just assumed that it wasn't referencing any specific scene. If the OP was a beta reader, they wouldn't be allowed to give hints, and it's not anything from the sample chapters.
  7. Haha it's a joke on the popular Star Wars fan quote: "Han shot first"
  8. Graphic Audio is just another company that makes audiobooks, but they do it kind of like a play, with different actors and sound effects and such. 'Unabridged' means 100% the same as the original text, and is the category most audible books are in. I have both versions for a lot of the Cosmere.
  9. The Legend of Eli Monpress series is a little silly compared to Brandon's stuff, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it's completely clean as far as I remember. The magic reminds me a bit of Soulcasting, as it has to do with talking to inanimate objects to convince them to do things.
  10. Welcome to the Shard. I know there's quite a few people here that also frequent the Reddit boards, other than myself. Be careful perusing the boards after the 14th if you're not fanatical enough to immediately read Oathbringer like most of us.
  11. My favorite scene is from the end of the Way of Kings.
  12. I have to admit, I'm curious too. I don't hate him as much as a lot of people seem to, but I don't really like him either... In my opinion he thinks he is doing the right thing, but is very incorrect. Edit: I actually do like him from a story perspective, simply because he creates good conflicts, just not really as a single character.
  13. I read very quickly, so I'd probably be done with Oathbringer on the second day, including rereading part 1, if only I didn't have things like work and college classes.... Who am I kidding? None of that is getting done until after OB.
  14. Thanks, I haven't noticed anything so far either. I figured it would be something very minor if there was at all though. As a side note, I love how excitable they made Pattern sound, it makes some of his best quotes even better
  15. Not a question, just a statement of non-understanding.
  16. Your life sounds confusing.
  17. I agree that it seems like a lot of characters are taking a darker path than in previous books, I wouldn't personally include Kaladin though (at least not yet). Unless he actually helps the parshmen attack some humans or something, I think he's doing the right thing by trying to help them.
  18. Yeah, anyone who could do the disguises right would be good in my book. Edit: I don't know about Christian Bale's voices though, if I hear a Batman, I'm done.
  19. I agree that there is probably a way to use Transportation for direct teleportation (or something similar) somehow. However... The WoB above confirms that she used a Perpendicularity this time. Edit: As a side note though, I would love to see what Stormlight looks like, as well as how one would get it, in the CR.
  20. I think Wayne would have to be one of those actors that can look completely different depending on costuming. I don't know that it matters too much which one though.
  21. That is most definitely what they are referring to. I mean, the article does say that it's 'not quite' cannon, but that's only because it's a rough draft version, not because the event isn't canonical.
  22. I picked up the Graphic Audio version of WoR to go with the copy of WoK that I already had, in preparation of the Oathbringer release, and I was just wondering if anyone has spotted any differences between the GA and standard versions? In Warbreaker there were breath commands that could be heard in the GA version that weren't specified in the text, is there anything like that that I should keep an eye out for?
  23. Just to be clear, that chapter has spoilers for WoR, not Oathbringer. It's a bonus chapter that will not be in any published book.
  24. I accidentally did this with my copy of TFE. I just took it as a good excuse to buy the hardback.
