Not really an oatmeal person but I like it in my granola bars. Tried it once. Was not a fan I don't part my hair at all.

Only jelly beans. I don't like the taste of real beans at all, much too bland in a bad way.

That's dumb. Are you talking about the International Edition additions (like the Zodiac License Board) or the little changes from Zodiac Age (like the x6/8 speed)?
-
I love both of them and when I had first heard this I didn't believe it until I saw the basic similarities. I hope to play FF12 again once I get a PS4. There's a limit to upvotes???

Here's a fun one Star Wars or Final Fantasy XII

Random Stuff X: Something Weird
Draginon replied to marsoupial's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I was interested in these after hearing AClocworkReader, a booktuber, saying how much she loved these books and the plots just sound interesting. They'll have to wait a while before I open them since I want to finish my Sanderson-a-thon first (which will have a planned intermission in October for a couple spooky books) -
Been a while since I've read all three of these. They're good comics!

It's crazier how everyone seems to be going to Oregon when the path is going all the way to South Carolina. Why isn't anyone going to SC? -
Exactly! I've seen these same women move cabinets and other furniture that weighs way more than the 'heavy' TE's and these items will be loaded down with stuff. I'm not someone who thinks every woman needs help with lifting things, but if one is doing it because they don't feel like doing it then it's wrong. Tell that to the Irish of the 19th century and the Jews. Both are white but decades ago they were listed under the black/brown color, which when it was first proposed had nothing to do with skin color but instead by area. And people go on about slavery being a black only thing, but it was actually named after the Slavs, a white race, so the original racism was white people versus white people! Study your history!

Why yes I do. They are my favorite mythical creature out there.

I've got one better: teachers who don't listen at all. Our buildings tend to flood and no matter how many times we tell teachers to not put anything curriculum related on the floor they do it anyway!
-
Thanks, I didn't think I was crazy on that!

Probably Ruin, Odium is too serial killer for me. Would you rather have everything you will ever own get broken by Alcatraz or to always go to a Shardworld right when it's most dangerous to be there?

I had heard before that the serpent and the devil being the same was a more recent invention to have things make more sense, similar to how Adam's first wife was a more modern invention to explain where the demons and monsters came from since she is supposedly only mentioned once and only in passing mention, so the source I heard it from must've been misinformed since I haven't read genesis myself. Also I've also heard that Satan and Lucifer aren't the same person, similar to how Laura Ingalls used three different girls she knew to make the all in one character of Nellie Olson in her Little House books, so that whole thing could just be speculation.

I think that was pre-genesis, but some have reinterpreted the serpent as being Lucifer but as far as I know that's non-bible theory.

I'm hoping it's going to show more advanced versions of the different worlds we have seen thus far like maybe Roshar could have hurricane proof domes protecting the cities or Sel could be a little more united (or go to the third major power of that world that's been mentioned if it doesn't pop in the sequels). I do wonder if Scadrial will even be shown if everything starts when the spaceships are already en route.

Here's a pet peeve that's work related: women who refuse to pull their weight. The women the school hires always act like anything more than 5 pounds is way too heavy for them to lift, despite the fact that their bags feel like they're hauling a couple cinder blocks around, meaning we're always trying to find a man. This will be a problem at one campus because there's only one man now and if he's out then I'm the only one taking stuff in and some deliveries are well over 20 pounds and I'm having to go up stairs to drop it off. There is an elevator but they refuse to let it be used for anything except handicap use. Another peeve, life related, is when less common victims get ridiculed, like male rape victims and white victims of racism/discrimination, instead of support.

@king of nowhere would it having a tongue like a frog help combat the speed issue or even spinning webs like a spider? It could also have tentacles for more maneuverability to catch prey. There can also be ways to reduce the weight by having more compact muscles and hollow bones like birds, but much harder to break. I'm not a biologist so I'm not sure how useful my suggestions are.

We know Ashyn will be the subject of a future novella and Threnody will be getting a book at some point. Other worlds being planned for revisits that aren't Scadrial and Roshar are Sel (Elantris sequels), Taldain (White Sand publication or further graphic novels), Nalthis (Nightblood) and Braize somewhere in the Archive. The other worlds like First of the Sun and Vax have no known planned installments at this point so we might have to wait for Mistborn Era 4 for the space exploration to happen and hope they appear.

Favorite Non-Brandon Characters
Draginon replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Toph is a cool character and just as cool as an old lady. It's hard to pick any character from Avatar as a favorite since there's so many! Last time I did mainly female characters I love, now it's the men's turn: Finn (Star Wars 7): I like that he's a Stormtrooper wanting out of the group and wanting a, somewhat, normal life. Sazh (Final Fantasy XIII): His struggle of having a son being chosen by a Fal'cie and doomed to become either a monster or crystal breaks my heart whenever I play the game, especially the moment when he reunited with his son and suffers a major breakdown and almost killing Vanille for her, accidental, part in his son being in his situation. By rule of awesome and cool I have: Goku, Auron (Final Fantasy X), Optimus Prime, Indiana Jones, Groot, Star Lord, Steve Rogers, Nick Fury. One woman I forgot was Wonder Woman herself because she's awesome! -
Prime Aqasix of Azir sounds cooler. Would you rather marry a koloss or always be stuck in an everstorm?

I'm avoiding the main book threads and I've spoiled myself a bit from the wiki but not enough for anything major. That's also why I'm doing my Sanderson-a-thon so that I can catch up before Oathbringer.
