Devaan, now with an aluminium foot prosthetic ran towards the Liebrary at top speed and found 15 of his soldiers fighting desperately, 15 of the 100 he had recruited, trained and became comrades with. Devaan stared at the 15 marines that fought hordes of Daemons, some of them in the bodies of his comrades Devaan raced forwards, there were still fifteen that he could save. He had to get there in time! He sped up, and caught a blade that was going to kill one of his marines, shattering it like glass. Devaan drew simirtas, now Atius and started carving up Daemons left and right. a blur as he tapped speed, incredibly strong as he tapped strength. 10 Daemons fell, then 20. The Daemons began to fall back, shocked by the whirlwind of death, giving the Blood Angles breathing room "Sir!" Kessial said to Devaan "Thank you! orders?" "We're marching to the canton, then waiting for the raptors chapter to meet us there. The chaos must be stopped, the humans here are innocent and fighting for their land. Not against us" "Yes sir" Kessial said, the other 14 marines chorused the reply. "Pheonix formation," Devaan said, as the small squad got into a formation that was well practised and executed. step by step, the remainder of the blood angels chapter marched onwards, harrowed by Daemons coming from the incursion, but miraculously, no one died as they saw the canton in sight. The steel fort stood like a mountain. Invincible, Immoveable. The remaining space marines stood in the main canton room, completely made of steel. Waiting for the Drako and the raptors chapter.

When Hellbent lunged at him, Devaan was still burning Atium, which luckily let him react. Hellbent almost had him in that. Hellbent lay on the ground before him. "I'll make it quick. With my sword you'll feel a sharp pain, then numbness, then darkness. I'll be seeing you in damnation, in time I'll be joining you" Devaan told him. "Do it you miserable storming coward" Hellbent spat. "3" Hellbent took a deep breath. "2" Devaan's sword flashed, a slit in Hellbent's throat forming due to a faint blur of metal. Hellbent sighed, then gurgled and the light in his eyes faded, gone. Devaan then took a carving knife, and became a blur, precisely cutting out the gemheart whole. He picked up the shardblade, he had to ignore the screams he heard when he took it. "1" Devaan walked away, nodding to Drako who stared wide-eyed at Hellbent's corpse. "I'm going to my canton to stock up and heal myself, then I'm meeting up with my chapter"

"This man" Devaan snarled, voice full of rage. He stopped glowing as he was leeched. His deck of cards was always stored in a waterproof pouch, and his backup connection minds were in the other pouch, he started tapping his backup minds. It seemed Hellbent had the ability to teleport, he wouldn't let that take him by surprise again. "This man came into the war. Not to help the city, not to defend it. But for one sole reason. to kill. He just wants to murder and fight. He cannot be allowed to live and kill more" Devaan looked at his foot, it was slowly reforming, he could balance on it now, so he drew a card in his deck. A joker The fight was practically over as soon he started tapping the card. Each object split into different forms. He saw a copy of Rashan look astonished. Then the main Rashan did the same. Atium. One of his rarest magical artefacts. Kept since just before the catacendere, He 'borrowed' a vault full of the trust so he can make cards such as these. He only uses them every decade or so, however. He saw a shadow of Hellbent behind him. he immediately spun, punching Hellbent in the throat. Teleportation was powerful, but precognition defeats it

Devaan saw the man tapping huge stores of luck. He tried to resist but the aluminium knife pierced his shoulder, stormlight flooding into the wound as Devaan ripped out the knife. Devaan felt the water flood out of the dome. That wouldn't save him. Devaan went through some stances with Simirtas, and the water rushed out flying straight towards Hellbent. Devaan used allomatic chromium, combined with the harmonium core would leech away the luck when Hellbent was hit with the water. Devaan matched Hellbent's level of tapping again. Cancelling it out. Hellbent was sent into the wall with a tidal wave of force, leeched of his feruchemical stores, his stormlight and his allomatic Chromium. Devaan released his luck once his bronze sense registered investiture was no longer being used. Devaan watched has Hellbent writhed. Whenever he tried to swim out of it, Devaan commanded the water to rise with Hellbent.

Devaan looked up and saw a giant stone falling from the sky. He tapped speed and drew a card. His hands fumbled. Fumbled? he hadn't messed up a draw so bad in years. Devaan dropped the card and watched as it hit the ground. Devaan reflexively tapped zinc. The world slowed. Devaan calmed and was able to plan out his moves. Devaan tapped steel and dove out of the way. Sharp pain burst in his foot. The numbness, a cracking sound. He looked down at his left foot oh. lord ruler save me he had to tap electrum to stop himself from vomiting as he looked down at the sight of his mangled, shattered foot. Devaan felt something snap within him. Pure anger burst forth. Devaan stood on his right foot, his left was slowly healing from stormlight, but he knew there would be permanent damage there. Devaan stored his weight and tapped a nicrocilmind he wore on his upper arm, giving him allomatic pewter to increase his balance, he limped towards hellbent. "I'm not going to play anymore" Devaan snarled "I'm not going to let you have any more time" "I'm going to murder you" Devaan limped onwards, drawing Atius. He was still faster than a normal human due to his speed but was slowed considerably due to the damage to his foot. he tranformed Atius into Simirtas by twisting it's hilt and pointed it at Hellbent. "Lets see how long you'll live" Devaan spat Water began to fill the dome from the ground up. Devaan started tapping Cadmium to be able to breath under water. The water went up to the two fighter's waist, then neck. and soon both fighters were plunged underneath.

The shardlance lunged towards Devaan. He coated his right arm with stormlight and the lance slid off his arm. He used his left hand to punch Hellbent in the ribs. He heard a crack

The bullet hit Devaan's shoulder and just barely broke the skin. The damage was low so the stormlight healed it before he had to tap gold. Devaan ran towards Hellbent and placed his left hand on Hellbent's stomach, activating the Aon Daa carved into his palm. White light exploded from Devaan's hand. Concussive force knocked Hellbent to the other side of the bronze dome. Forming a dent in it. "Get up" Devaan snarled

Devaan saw Hellbent rush him, and did two things: Devaan tapped a nicrocilmind he swallowed earlier, giving him bronze allomancy, he noticed hellbent tapping luck. Devaan tapped luck himself, balancing it out. Devaan let the shardblade hit him in the stomach. It bounced off. Grinning, Devaan's hands blurred as he grabbed a chromiumind on Hellbent's wrist, stored Identity, and tapped the chromiumind out completely, He then kicked Hellbent's feet out from under him. "Get up" Devaan told Hellbent

Devaan watched the fight unfold, Hellbent was winning against Drako and his space marines, volleys were fired, and dodged, Hellbent tearing through the ranks. This wasn't a fair fight, this wasn't one-on-one duelling. This was bloody, brutal and fatal. It was time to step in Devaan raised a hand. "Hold your fire" He said. The space marines, disciplined as ever immediately stopped and withdrew, recognising Devaan as a chaptermaster. "I'll take care of this." Devaan looked at his glowing hands, and drew Atius, twisting its hilt and transforming it into simirtas, the aurora blade. "Drako. Stand back for this one, I'd hate for you to get in the crossfire here" Drako looked at Devaan quizzically "You're going to take him on your own?" He asked "Yes" Devaan walked towards hellbent, completely calm, breathing in stormlight, mixing the glow of AonDor with the glow of stormlight. "Lets do this"

"WHO WILL FIGHT ME? WHO WILL TEST THEIR POWER AGAINST MINE?" Devaan ran towards the sound, his body a blur from the sheer amount of speed he had and found Hellbent and Drako already fighting. He sat back. If Drako couldn't handle it, He'd step in and take out Hellbent.

The Shardbearer finally hit him, sending Devaan flying into a wall. As he was sent spinning, a tear opened in his shirt, probably from the hit. He looked down at his chest, and saw scar tissue there Scars that looked like Aonic symbols Scars that he had stitched up a little over a week ago in the hospital He grinned, and tapped a little connection to the Dor, just enough to activate the Aons His body began to glow with a silver light. Devaan hit the wall, and it cracked, forming a dent in the stone wall. Devaan wasn't even bruised He stood up and dismissed Mercy, he wouldn't be needing it anymore. Devaan stepped forward. Faster, Stronger, more durable than ever before. The giant swung a gauntleted fist straight towards Devaan, crashing down onto him, forming a crater in the ground. "You ripped my shirt" Devaan muttered angrily, in the centre of the crater Devaan walked towards the plated giant, and jumped, his muscle mass from tapping pewter increasing as he swung Atius at the stomach of his enemy The sound of Metal grinding into flesh rung out through the entire AlleyCity as the plating around the stomach of the behemoth caved in to the stomach of his enemy. Devaan landed, tucked and rolled as the shardbearer staggered backwards. He studied the corpses that surrounded him. it seemed as if other crusaders had tried to sneak up on him, but Rashan made short work of them. Good lad

Devaan stepped forward. ready to face the behemoth with his friends. He made Rashan and Solace's feet have increased friction so they didn't slip anywhere near as much. Devaan took a step towards the monster, Drawing Simirtas and twisting it's hilt, transforming it back into Atius, but this time as a greatsword. Rashan looked at the blade, eyes wide "You can't do that with sethramir just yet" Devaan told him "Rashan, me and you go for the legs, Mraize, fly around and strike between the joints" Devaan held out his hand ten heartbeats A dark blue shardblade fell into his hand, Devaan called it Mercy, it didn't scream as loud as a usual shardblade did in his mind, and the screams could be ignored for now. He used it to fight against people with plate more efficiently. "Rashan, Draw your own, we need to cripple the giant" Devaan ran over to the shardbearer, slicing at the right shin with Mercy, then following it up with a slash with Atius, he darted around, never stopping but instead erratically changing directions so when the shardbearer tried to down him, he was one step ahead

Devaan stood in front of the casket. Mac was dead. He was really dead. He remembered the times of the Department of Counter intelligence, the light alley and of days before. "So long Mac. They may take our lives, but they will never take our cookies" He said solemnly, turning and walking out the door. He couldn't stay for the funeral. He didn't want to.

Devaan searched around the alleys nearby for signs of life, until he passed one and his lifesense ticked. He saw Rashan and a black crusade marine huddling together, discussing something. Devaan looked at the marine's armor, it had an insignia on it, the same insignia as the worm-ridden space marines, chapter of the raptors. He walked up to the space marine. "Stand up soldier. I saw what happened to the rest of you chapter, I need a briefing on that, and the location of the blood angels, I'm their chapter-master" "Sir?" "The warmaster has betrayed us, he's a heretic and a tyrant. I witnessed him trying to resurrect a corpse with unholy magic. I'm taking my chapter out of this battle and into a save place to guard innocents. Are you with me?" Devaan tapped connection, increasing the soldier's sense of camaraderie towards Devaan. "Rashan, I'm going to help Mraize after I guide this one back to my canton. He's facing one of those unholy monsters on his own, but with me, him and maybe you we could probably take it out." Devaan give the marine a card that teleported him to the canton of combat, then drew one of his own, Ace of Boots, giving him Allomatic Speed. "Try to keep up" He said, smiling as he ran towards Mraize and the behemoth in shardplate "Hey. You need a hand?" He said to Mraize, grinning. Devaan breathed in some stormlight, and set the ground to be frictionless, but set his feet to have increased friction, meaning he could move normally "Be careful, I assume you've trained to manoeuvre in this?" He asked mraize

One of the worm-ridden space marines ran at Devaan, he immediately slipped in the stormlight pool Devaan had set around him. Devaan didn't hesitate. He drew Atius, and twisted it's hilt, the blade changed, instead of having an aurora effect shimmering on the blade, it looked instead like the night sky, with a full moon as it's point, the hilt grew shorter, the crossguard narrowed. Simirtas, the blade of the south cut down on the space marine, water followed the arc of the blade, and as the space marine below him withered and died, soft gurgling noises came from the marine's throat. Devaan pointed Simirtas towards the rest of the space marines, and the sounds of a rushing river was heard in the distance the river got louder and louder faster louder still until a huge white water rapid engulfed the entire alleyway in water, sweeping away all those who were swept up in it, the current parted around the blade and Devaan. After the water disappeared, taking the space marines with it, Devaan stood in a drenched alleyway, alone "Hello?" He shouted He saw Death flying through the air, he squinted, trying to make out what he was doing Death was attacking the alliances forces Oh storms Devaan climbed up the alleyway, using the enhanced strength and balance given by allomatic pewter to scale the walls "CUTHBERT!" He shouted, hoping this would get a response from the figure flying through the clouds
