He didn't want to kill one of his pupils, he had Aons scattered around the training ground that would strengthen everyone and heal them, but it was a system he used rarely as recovery times was something every capable fighter had to get used to. He sat down on a ledge that sixteen years ago he thought about throwing himself off. But this time he had a smoke instead, calming himself, he stepped inside his home. "Hey Mejin. Earlier you said you weren't ready for it, but you feel ready now? Ethil and Silphio got theirs during the war, But sixteen years made you curious eh? follow me" Devaan walked over to the dining table and opened the trap door under it, descending down into the aluminium bunker where he came to a stop in front of the wall-safe. "You've got the key"

Why wasn't the dreadnought healing? wait... the armour. Devaan let steel allomancy flow through him, and noticed that no blue lines were coming from the armour. "Kerith, get him to either an operating table or if he is able to, let him tap some unsealed goldminds I keep in the back. If he's in danger of dying, let me know and I'll activate the house Aons. That will save him, but interrupt the other sparring sesions.

The title got me thinking. You have a point, let's take a look at this. Kenton is the protagonist in white sand, who has (so far in the books) become companions with Khrisalla and their relationship is going from traveling companions to friends. Khriss and Baon, both two characters of the traveling group that Kenton is also part of are alive at the time of Oathbringer. OB takes place after BoM. Elantris takes place during the time of the Final Empire. The old Hoed seen going into the secret pool of light is also confirmed to be alive in OB. There are ways to stop ageing. Both Khriss and Baon are/were members of the 17th shard. They have a device that can slow ageing (WoB confirmation that I cannot find) White sand takes place before Elantris. Elantris takes place during the time of the final empire, so White sand at least takes place during the time of the final empire, possibly before the creation of the first ascension. Luthadel was created upon Rashek's ascension, Meaning either Khriss, Kenton or Baon (or another member of the 17th Shard) had to be on scadrial at the time of the ascension for the street to be named after the Mastrell, but we don't know the time difference between Rashek's ascension and White sand. That fact could debunk the city. Now lets take a look at the street. In Mistborn Era 2, Brandon puts heavy emphasis on street names: Hammond Promenade Yomen Street Demoux Promenade So on so forth. Most non-numerical street names have relation to the previous era. It's a possibility. However, for this to be intended, Kenton had to be the character's name since at the earliest 2008 (I don't know which book it was mentioned but 2008 was the release of HoA). White sand was released in 2016. 8 years after, I find it unlikely that Brandon planned that far ahead for white sand back then (if we have WoB that he's been planning white sand for a while, then ignore this section), this fact kind of debunks the theory.

Silphio landed in the training grounds holding a wad of notes from turning in his bounty. Master Devaan was sparring with a dreadnought, he had activated his Aon skin and was fighting with a staff. Wasn’t that his worst weapon? He noticed Deras, Max and Mara off to one side, Max and Mara were talking while Deras was watching intently. Two newcomers were sparing, one unarmed and the other wielding an inquisitor axe. Max walked off in search for someone, he had seen that look on his face before. He wanted to do some sparring. ”Heya Max! Let’s do some sparring too. You choose the weapons” Silphio called out to him

Devaan saw the hit coming. Sloppy. If he wanted to he could have dodged that punch with ease. He landed on his feet and walked towards the Dreadnought, and flashed his palms towards Orren, interlocking his fingers and creating an Aon. Modified Aon Eon Flew out and hit Orren, weakening him. Devaan strolled towards Orren and hit the chestplate with his staff, Discharging an Aon on his palm to send a concussive blast as well as hitting the Dreadnought with the staff. A puncture in the Armour appeared once Devaan lowered the staff. The Aon detonated, sending Orren stumbling backwards.

"If you struggle with something. You tell me. You don't ignore the problem. Now throw a storming punch!" Devaan yelled, charging at the mech, staff extended.

"There won't be death. Combat till knockout. You need a lesson in respect. I give you a weapon and you will try to use it. Now take a swing at me" Devaan fell into a combat spear, holding his wooden staff to his side in a ready stance. He activated the Aons on his body, something he rarely did nowdays and manifested his shardplate as a light armor that engulfed his clothes, shielding him.

Mine is the octopath traveler fight music 1 for Devaan. Help me I got this game last week and I've already put over 30 hours into it.

Devaan heard a whistling through the air, getting quieter and quieter. He spun around and saw that the Dreadnought had flung the dagger over it's shoulder and off the edge. "So I see you need a lesson in respect first" Devaan told the Mech, stepping forward. "Everyone stand back please" He called out to the rest of the people gathered on the ground. "I'll give you the first hit"

“Orren. I want you to spar against Silphio when he get’s back. He’ll give you a tough time of it. Until then I want you to learn more precise techniques” Devaan handed the Mech a giant knife, he used it for cutting through dense jungles back when he was exploring Nalthis, but it fit as a small dagger in the giant mech’s hand
