  1. "Of course, Drako" Devaan preferred to use his name, rather then his title. He Subtly took of his shoe so he was touching the steel ground. "What is it?"
  2. Kestrel studied the card and the riddle, he knew the handwriting "Welcome to the canton of combat sir, I'll still be taking that gun of yours though. It's rude to decline a 'gift of friendship' after all" "5 stones, In 5 guilds, huh? Well if you want to find a special stone, there are three places you could look." "You could look in the shin quarter, they have some stone shrines there, but they think ALL stones are special, we had to give em seperate quarters so they don't have to see the crater" Kestraal remembered the first time a shin canton member saw the crater that surrounded this place "Or you could look in the armoury, that's got a fair amount of gemstones for stormlight." "The last place, however is the vault, and good luck getting in there! It takes three keys to open in unison, all of them worn around Devaan's neck! Breaking in is tougher, you have to fight through us, then somehow dig through the compressed steelmind which is coated in aluminium. Then you have to get past the shades on the inside." Kestraal said the last part boastfully "But, no one knows what's after that, or even what's inside." @Archer
  3. "Did you have to destroy him?" The accent was notable, Rosharan perhaps? "Did you have to make him so cocky?" Silphio asked in response. It was an illusion. Of course it was But it could still hurt you That probably had something to do with well timed real attacks. It was possible, but difficult. Silphio studied the two and ran through his list of rosharans who had access to the alley verse. That was very few. Most of them were shard bearers, Devaan kept a dossier of most fighters in the alley verse. If he remembered correctly, these two would be the steel bloods. Sibling shard bearers, but that was all he could remember from the small file Devaan kept on them. He also remembered the danger rating was a C+, Vita was a radiant and Ahmose had rithmatic knowledge, how skilled the two were, Devaan did not know. "So. The Arena is open for anyone now?" Silphio asked, without waiting for a response, he followed up "Put my name on the scoreboard please. I assume you have one?"
  4. Devaan walked through the gates and saw Kestraal dealing with someone. Probably his seller, no matter how hard Devaan tried, he couldn't break the guardsman's fire moss addiction. He'd have to deal with him later. For now, he walked up a spiral staircase and into the guards quarters. Room 1-B was where the blood angels lived usually, a wide spacious room that fit all the marines under one roof. Devaan knocked on the door. "Alright, You have five seconds to hide anything you don't want me to see!" He called out to the door five seconds later, Devaan walked in. @Grey Knight
  5. Devaan got up and dusted himself off. He tapped his ring, aon tia coursing through him as he teleported to the canton of combat
  6. The Bartender stopped preparing a drink for another patron as he heard the twins say their answers That's my queue "Ello. You two. Come with me" He led the twins down a hidden staircase under the bar. "You two kids seek the armour eh? It's been five years since the last lad came in here and answered the riddle. Poor bloke, had a right good sense of adventure about him, but the trials tore him apart"
  7. I got him Silphio landed right on top of... nothing? All around him was mist. He tried to get up, and winced at the pain involved he could muster a whistle at least. A low, long one. All three of his pets began to circle him, protect him from threats. @BitBitio
  8. Kestraal sighed. He dealt with people similar to this fairly often. "You know the word you just said there? order?" He drew two inquisitor hatchets "That's how I know you ain't part of this canton, and that's how I Know you ain't got permission to be here" "So here are your options. You can come back with a handwritten note from Devaan, you can 'find' your invite , you could leave now and never come back" Kestraal grinned, it had been some time since he had to fight someone "Or you could die here, sir" Kestraal's skin began to glow silvery-white. @Archer *** Devaan teleported to outside the canton of combat "Hey! Open up!" He shouted to a blood angel on duty. @Grey Knight
  9. Silphio smiled. "Ok. let's start fighting for real now" Silphio flew up into the air Ten heartbeats A shard blade formed in his hand. He kept flying upwards. Then let himself drop, covering himself head to toe in bone armour, Shardblade ready to land on Cobalt. He'll probably try to dodge "I know" A sharp whistle followed, and a card fell to the floor in front of cobalt, it was glittering with stormlight, it had an incredibly strong gravitational attraction, Cobalt was being dragged towards it, while at the same time Dori Dori began sucking out the pewter allomancy from sir cobalt, and fluffy the whitespine doggedly tried to block Cobalt from running out of the impact zone silphio was about to cause. It was a practiced manoeuvre, pinning the enemy down while Silphio, clad in heavy armour that would lessen the damage of the fall as much as possible landed on the opponent, shard blade driven down point first.
  10. Kestraal, CoC member walked up and saw Klasten wandering around and searching the canton. "Oi! You got an invite?" He asked Klasten @Archer
  11. YAAAAY! LOPEN'S BACK!
  12. You know of devotion, yet not of dominion. You are a part of a whole. A part that cannot work without another. You have half an answer. Not a whole. The red glass is refilled. @I think I am here.
  13. Mara downed the red glass and began to see things. The psychadelic triggering. Hello there. You seek the armor. What’s the answer to the riddle of red? @I think I am here.
  14. Silphio let the white bone armour stop the sword from penetrating his chest. If Cobalt still had his pewter that would have done some damage. Cobalt was skilled with the sword, but Silphio got the impression that he isn't as experienced as he claimed to be. Case in point, Silphio meant for Cobalt to dodge that, because he forgot that Silphio's blade had a hooked point. A point that was now pointing directly at Cobalt's back. Silphio pulled the sword inward and simultaneously had his right hand form a white dagger-like serrated point on his other. He went for Cobalt's kneecap with the blade.
  15. Here's a short section of Devaan's past, I'll edit more in later.
  16. Hi All! this is a place for fleshing out character's backstories. I know most era 2 characters can use 16YP for it as it usually shows their early years, but some era 1 characters could have their backstories extended here.
  17. I think It's possible. I doubt that someone could punch a shard in the face enough times to kill it, but with nightblood things get trickier. I'm pretty sure we have WoB confirmation the night blood actually destroys investiture. So If a shard was stabbed with that enough times, or held it for long enough, the investiture of that shard would eventually be completely destroyed
  18. Silphio felt the blood run down his chin and drip to the floor. He smiled. Cobalt seemed to had lost track of Silphio's sword, sitting at his hip. He took it out and lunged at Cobalt, he went for the upper left section of the torso. @BitBitio
  19. The bottle refilled itself immediately. The other two bottles glimmered different colors. Red for Solace's and Green for Rashan's, while the horneater white glimmered blue. An Inscription showed in the air, written in Aons. Northward bound goes the red. Impostor of the dead. He sought two of a kind. Devotion and Dominion in his mind. You will need to know both if you want the armor. East goes the green. An assassin, skilled and keen. He fought, he saved he died. His legacy still survives. You will need to know them if you want the armor South goes the blue, a leader. A teacher. A friend. You will need to know to who if you wish to avoid your end. The Liquid on the floor glowed a faint blue before disappearing into the floorboards. @I think I am here.
  20. Silphio smiled and drew a card from his deck. Given to him by Devaan, one of the items from his vault. It was six of boots, feruchemical steel. He tapped it all, then burned chromium and tapped Sir Cobalt, leeching him of his pewter.
  21. Silphio let the slice hit his arm, hardening his skin at the last second. Whitespine bone rose to block the attack, the blade bounced off of the carapace-like bone. Silphio grinned, and flew up and over his opponent, landing behind him. He attuned focus and darted in and out, trying to slice at the arms, then the calf and then one slice to the neck.
  22. Devaan stayed at the waystop, he wanted to talk to his son, but he didn't feel ready for it so he sat down and had a smoke.
  23. The Bar was repaired as it was before the explosion, drinks sat unfinished from customers who left. The twins find one table, in the corner of the room. A horneater white, a scadrian whiskey and a nalthis ale sat on that table, each glass has a clear fingerprint smudge on it. The Horneater white has a faint glimmer and a sparkle at the bottom of the bottle, the wine would have to be rid of to get to it. @I think I am here.
