  1. Kestraal ran to the other guilds and told them the shade stone was missing. He knew the protocol. Devaan walked back to the training ground.
  2. Tena had downed the security shades. The vault was under attack. Devaan sighed. He was in the training grounds right now, about to approach his son. "What's wrong" Astiel smiled at him "Was this your doing? Did you attack the canton?" Astriel looked genuinely suprised "Guess not then" "Someone's attacking the canton?" He asked "Yes. I have to sort it out." "Bring me with you" "Hell no" Devaan changed places with the dummy, and saw Tena holding the shadestone. "That belongs to me" Devaan's voice was a low hum, he didn't appreciate being robbed. He felt the steel mind was less full, not by much, but still there. He quickly keyed it to his identity by tapping his aluminuminds. Devaan's bare foot brushed against the steel floor, he breathed in stormlight from the surrounding sphere's and summoned his shardblade. "I'll give you one chance to return it. I'm not in the best of moods today. So don't push me" @Archer @AxeliustheGreat *** Kestraal was in a foul mood. He hadn't met his dealer, and Devaan was in the canton, making it harder to hide his addiction from him. He stared at the giant tree that had formed in the canton building. That would take at least an hour to fix. He allowed his skin to glow a soft silver and drew an aon in the air, Tia, and teleported next to Devaan.
  3. Tesel, canton of combat recruitment agent saw Raoni walk into the building. "Welcome to the canton of combat" She said in a tour guide voice "Would you like to join, meet with a member, learn about the place or wander on your own? This site became an island in the crater sixteen years ago when a thermonuke was dropped near it, Aonic shielding saved it from damage, and was a safe haven for many during the war" Tesel kept prattling off facts she remembered about the canton's history. *** "Oh you poor, poor thing" The young girl said to Klasten, a look of knowledge dawning upon her face, as if she knew something no one else did. "If you want the shadestone, all you have to do is reach out and grab it" She pointed to the swirling mass of shades that violently orbited the stone.
  4. Devaan felt a connection come back to him. His awakened doll was moving again. He remembered the Tia card he had strapped to it in the duel with Rashan, the card now was inside the chest of the newly repaired figure. He could switch places with it at will, so long as there was enough charge in the card and his connectionminds. He'd wait though, not swapping places with it just yet. *** The door swung open with an incredibly loud creak, waking everyone in the canton, inside the vault was a large assortment of items and rarities, weapons collected from different worlds, stacks of gold, chrysts and other currency littered on the floor, hanging from the ceiling were large chandeliers. Nothing in the vault was silver, many things were sharp. Shades wandered around the room aimlessly. In the back of the room was a swirling mass of shades, upon looking closer, you see a faint glimmer and a black stone. A young woman wandered into the vault through the wall. "Hello there! are you looking for the shadestone?" The young girl couldn't have been older than 19, she was wearing a white blouse covered in a mottled shawl, a revolver hung loosely in her right hand @Archer @AxeliustheGreat
  5. "Don't be burdened by me or my legacy. You can''t be weighed down by me." Rashan began to fade into white light. "And tell Devaan that it wasn't his fault. Tell Devaan that I thank him for taking care of you two" Rashan Caer, Ghostblood assassin, faded into strands of white light. Congratulations, you have passed the trial of the armour. Claim it and exit The strands of light coalesced into two sets of armour, one gleaming blue, pulsating slightly, the red helm was pointed and the visor left only the eyes unprotected. The chest plate was simple unadorned blue, the shoulders pointed and sharp. The armoured legs were made of interwoven blue plates, allowing free movement, the knees were also pointed, extending into curled spikes. The other armour next to it was green, it looked similar but was rounded, focusing more on defence and durability. It looked heavy, instead of pulsating, the green armour shimmered softly, subtly. The Door back to the bar opened on it's own, several skeletons were suddenly visible around the room, various personal belongings around. One had a diary on it, another was holding a golden sword, another clutched a six-shooter in it's skeletal hand, a bullet hole visible in it's skull. This is what you could have been. You did well to pass these trials, the rest shall not be as easy as this. Good luck, adventurers. @I think I am here.
  6. "Of course, follow me to the training ground." Devaan laid his bare hand on a small nicrocil box, elsecalling himself and Atticus into the cognitive realm. He strolled towards the direction of scadrial "We have a long walk ahead, and we will be walking, not steelpushing or teleporting" He told Atticus
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Syl die in WoR and was revived? I get it's a different story as it's a different person trying to revive the same spren in Adolin's case, where Kaladin was actually bonded, but all Kaladin needed to do is say the next oath to revive her, no extra oomph required to fix her first. Also, she was fine after, not having as much trauma as someone who literally died would have.
  8. Rashan smiled. "What's anyone's purpose?" He looked at the twins "To live, to feel, to do anything you want to do. I saved you not because I saw anything in you two. I can't see that far ahead. But because I saw two children, in need of help, you don't owe me anything. I only ask of you two things"
  9. Rashan saw Mara coming, the atium shadow giving her away. He laughed and went to sidestep the attack. He stumbled, When had Max grabbed his leg? Mara collided with Rashan, he felt one of the short sword skewered his right shoulder. A flash of realisation hit him. The fog of anger and disgust cleared. "Mara?" He asked, confused. "You've grown up so much" Rashan started to fade again, drifting back into the cognitive realm. "I don't have much time, but we can talk for a bit, before I pass into the beyond" @I think I am here.
  10. I'll sign up for... Wayne! (HOW HAS THIS NOT BEEN TAKEN YET?)
  11. Rashan was flown to the wall, he coughed up some blood and glared at Mara. ”And you” Rashan became a blur as he ran towards Mara, lashing out with sethramir. ”You betray me? You JOIN THE ENEMY’’
  12. Rashan rolled out of the way of Mara's attack, A single razor slashing his arm. He ignored the pain and the rioting and got up in front of Max. "Max. The Rioter" He whispered "You joined the ghostbloods? You think they could make you stronger?" Rashan levelled sethramir "That's not how this works" Rashan attacked, aiming a kick towards Max's chest then following up with a quick slash with sethramir, he tapped steel, making his hand a jackhammer as he repeatedly began punching Max in the stomach.
  13. "I'll make the report." Devaan said, calling the blood angel who was talking to Klasten to enter, he saw Devaan and grinned, greeting him with a simple salute, then saw Drako and the marine's eyes widened. "Relax. I'm the one in trouble here, not you" He whispered to the marine "Aander. Go get four or five more blood angels and set some ground recon at the waystop. I briefed you on how to get there" "Yes sir!" Aander nodded to Drako respectfully and walked away. "Again Drako. I'm sorry. I wish I didn't kill Orren. But I have to go now. I caught my kid extorting people and murdering" "You what? how?" "He tried to extort and murder me. I just need to talk to him about it. You wan't to come along?" @Grey Knight
  14. He was just there, he helped with the battle against the Chaos and the panthers. "I was there, I thought the others had it under control. Do you need me to get you through the cognitive realm or can you make your way without me?" Devaan asked, getting ready to walk out the door. @Grey Knight
  15. Devaan followed Drako out. "What has?" he asked.
  16. "It's an embarrassing story Drako. But you don't have to believe me." Devaan looked at him, studied him. While Drako was at least a head taller than him, Devaan wasn't intimidated by his looming figure. He'd faced worse than this and lived, barely. "I owe you a debt. I will not forget it. Is there any other reason you stopped by?" @Grey Knight
  17. They ran straight into the door "Oh thats my bad. Forgot to unlock it" The Bartender opened the door "on you go" The twins walked through the door, and into an empty room. A voice filled their heads Welcome, twins. You have come far, solved the riddles. You seek the armour. Overcome these three trials to receive your reward You must face me. A man walked into the room. He held a sword that was glittering white. He had scars along his body, a wound in his chest long healed. He wore various bands of steel on him, each one embedded into his skin. But His eyes. They possessed a power about them, those eyes knew things no normal man could have. Rashan Caer, ghostblood assassin, saviour of alley city, fell into a stance with his blade, Sethramir pointed towards the twins. @I think I am here.
  18. "You don't know?" Devaan asked, then remembered, Drako wasn't from around here. "The Nightwatcher is a mystical being, she gives people something they ask for. But also a curse. Sometimes it's simple, like losing a limb, sometimes it's more complex. Like my punishment." @Grey Knight "I'm going to Devaan, if it's the last thing i do!" Devaan heard a voice "I'll be there soon. I'm in a meeting currently! No one shoot him until I get to talk to him!" Devaan called out to Klasten @Archer
  19. Devaan froze "Orren... He's dead? I. I did not know. I wasn't doing that well when I did that. I overreacted." Devaan paced around the barracks, his condition was getting worse. It was time to tell someone about it. "Drako, for the past three hundred years, since I ended up in roshar, I've dealt with a bane. I don't remember my visit, that was part of the deal, and neither do I remember my boon." "What does this have to do with anything?" Drako snarled "My morality is... inconsistent. to say the least. It will change randomly. I fear one day I may go over the edge. Apparently the condition is getting worse, I felt no guilt when I hurt Orren. But I do now. I owe you a debt. How do I repay it?" @Grey Knight Devaan felt something, his life sense found another person was approaching from behind. @Archer *** Kestraal left Klasten, admiring the gun, he had fifteen minutes before he was off shift, he was out of firemoss, his dealer would have to meet with him someplace else as Devaan was in the canton. That was a worry. Kestraal began to walk about alleycity until he reached the backup meeting place
  20. Ok. But again, Silphio thinks they are rosharan, he has encountered few people from the united isles, he sees a shardbearer and thinks 'rosharan', but I'll edit the post a little, thanks for letting me know @BitBitio
  21. "They're personalised. Changing, terrifying." The Bartender said "Some who make it out alive are changed forever" He stayed quiet after that comment, leading them down a winding staircase until he stopped in front of a large, ornate door made of nicrocil, inscribed in it is: The Trials of Armor. If you wish to find it, you must go through the door. But once you enter, there is a chance you will not come back @I think I am here.
