  1. I finally come online to vote and what do I find? Game over?? Just a poor old 17th shard researcher here btw
  2. I was on silverlight and sent to Nalthis randomly upon silverlight's destruction.
  3. lol understandable haha. It's over now. Straw. Livinglegend.
  4. Okay let's do this. Drought doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Actually feels like a possible elim. But for now... Straw
  5. Sorry guys, I've just been really busy the past few days. Hoping to have more time soon. For now I'm going to sheep Randuir on this. Droughtbringer I may change it later.
  6. @randuir I will probably be echoing your thoughts regarding MM. He is joining conversations and offering his opinions, letting his thoughts be known. I see that as villagery. Besides that, I have a village lean on Randuir as well. The questioning he has been doing so far appears to me to come from more of a 'figuring out' rather than 'put someone in a bad light'. Also I'm not really feeling HH as an elim. His willingness to participate although he does not have time for thorough analysis comes from a villager perspective imo. I don't have a proper read on many players atm though. I'm trying to stay up to date but sometimes just skim through some of the posts
  7. That's... a lot of shards out of containment. Fifth - worldhopping to wherever we want? As in we don't have to be in silverlight for investiture anymore? Tvtropes. I admit I have spoiled many a series for myself there.
  8. Even if fifth actually was cleared, the conversions renders that particular read useless somewhat.
  9. I will forever be playing catchup this game. I like how Pyro is going about this. He's willing to help whoever he can (and whatever suits him at the time) but he's being open with his thoughts so far. He gets points for that. Also I hope people mentioning 'El is playing aggressive' doesn't become an obstacle for El. (I know it's been said in good humour but...) I think it's totally fine and I don't want there to be any reservations due to this. They're moving the game forward, digging into people's thought processes. Trying to separate useful conversations from unnecessary fluff and keeping the discussion on track. Village lean. Monster is just a villager and I think that's coming across to me and hopefully others as well. Also contributing to discussion. Arin, I think the elims would try to get the first conversion ASAP and then maybe wait out a turn or something for the second. Being alone is quite risky and is endangering the entire team. Village lean btw due to tone. For now. Any ideas on the criteria elims might be using be to choose converts?
  10. @Elbereth and everyone else. The point of talking about khriss and hoid being on different teams is very important, I feel, and I thought it was worth mentioning. Having two teams changes the whole ball-game. Whereas normally, we have one elim team and try to figure out who it is, we now have two. One of the most basic ways to find them is: the elims are not solving and will instead try to give the appearance of solving, making fake reads, trying to avert suspicions from their teammates and save them from the lynch. Here we have two teams who can actively be hunting the other team, which is their wincon btw, so that point about not doing much, stalling, diverting attention if an elim is up for the lynch suddenly goes out the window. Someone leading a powerlynch on an elim can easily belong to the other team and could be getting villa-cred for lynching an elim. So basically, elims can be genuinely solving this game and it hadn't been mentioned so I brought it up. On the other hand, why do you (Elbereth) think it's not worth discussing? Also felt better about LL after their previous post. Pyro is likely to be survival or at the very least village atm. No reason to doubt them at the moment.
  11. I see. Thanks for the clarification. Your previous post did already allay most of my concerns regarding you but I omitted it from the post somehow. I think I just wanted the post finished. I would like thoughts on LL from others. I will most likely leave the vote there though.
  12. Still around for another 2 hours btw. In regards to hoid and khriss, I can't recall it being mentioned anywhere that they are indeed enemies to one another as well. So they will be actively trying to get rid of the other one at 'most' chances they get. But this will probably be later as they are helping each other dwindle the village at the moment. When the number are a bit lower, they will probably go all out on each other. Hmm. (Also damnation phonesposting)
  13. Phew finally all caught and haven't seen my name mentioned anywhere so far Thoughts on lynch discussion that I missed: We can't just say there's such and such a chancs of lynching an elim because, although having more elims increases the chance of lynching them, our voting is not random or isn't supposed to be random. We're trying to figure who it is we should lynch so the the chance doesn't really apply in the raw sense. Lynch is the main weapon of the village. There's other mechanics, especially this game, but the lynch gives us the most public information which is beneficial to the village overall. We can try to see vote changes and agendas in voting and pushing certain people. As for the lynch itself, I don't really have good idea on whom to vote but I didn't like (alignment-wise btw) Orlok giving Mage heat for his suspicions on fifth. It's an easy method to become suspicious of someone without much backlash. As it seemingly aplears to defend someone and naturally puts the other party in a bad light. Now Mage could totally be an elim here and Orlok could be village being genuine. But I doubt Orlok wpuld use the 'no. of times odium is mentioned' read for his push. Either way, not fond of the reason for votes on mage atm. ----------------- Just seen Orlok's retraction. ---------------- To carry on, the only thing that pinged me, kinda sorta, was livinglegend's post. It's easing into the thread un-noticed almost and appears to contribute to the health of the village. LivingLegend. @livinglegend In case LL comes on and I can't retract then hopefully we have anothet lynch going guys.
  14. Hey everyone. I should be on in a couple of hours, all caught up, hopefully.
  15. Here to say I'm alive but rather busy this weekend. The extra night cycle has actually helped so I should be okay tomorrow IRL day. Don't really have any thoughts as to the vote for today. Do we know if hoid and khrisalla are starting with a team?
  16. Not much to add atm. Also I will be very busy this weekend. I wonder if stick is actually joking lol. Jondesu, yes we need to rethink any reads we had. DoS (devotary) and everyone else, keeping PMs to a minimum will be a good idea. We also have planet docs. We can be be more talkative in PMs but using that same energy in the thread will help the village more in the long run imo. And not to reveal our intentions in PMs to others unless we're 90+% confident of their alignment (of a villager that is)
  17. So the actual shattering of Adonalsium took place in the previous thread. Also a bit ironic that hoid/khrissala probably got converted night 1 (or maybe not)
  18. Haha. I had to read this a couple times to understand what you were saying Lmao I see how that could've been confusing. My last post before turn's end. I've only skimmed so far, hopefully will catch up during day turn. I'm of the thought that we shouldn't announce which investiture we are aiming for. More information in this situation will only help the elims and make it easier for them to plan and choose their targets to help their wincon. Even though the setting is different, the aim is the same and village will hopefully do what's best for the wincon in regards to shards. (It's late, I'm dizzy) As village, we should put our thoughts in thread and let other villagers judge (so to say) our alignment (it's weird this game due to conversions) but with conversions, a different agenda in a said player should help us with their alignment. Hmm. Also, let's be careful about PMs as well.
  19. Wow, really busy in here. So much to catch up on. Village leans on stick and MM for now and slight villager for randuir from the quick skim.
  20. Due to time limitations, I won't be doing much game mechanics analysis etc. So a lot quick and snappy posts to show where I'm at. An excellent opening by Bard and although I agree we should lynch day 1, I have misgivings from the way he pitched it.
  21. Hey everyone I really enjoyed this game. I'd like to thank the GMs for hosting and everyone else for playing. Fifth Scholar and Monster especially, as it was their first game and they contributed a lot to the activity level. Randuir, I enjoyed my back and forths arguments with you and liked allaying your suspicion of me somewhat. And most of all, to the best elim team ever. That's right, it was a joy working besides Drought, Mage, Seonid and Hael It was so upsetting when Elephant got lynched Village was playing well at points but we had to try hard tbh. Also, towards the end, I felt fatigue settling in. But everyone got through it. And well done Rae. I tried to sow last-minute doubt with my lynch but you unvoted too late Also we got rid of Joe rather quick as well. We couldn't really focus on killing the dangerous players as we were scared of the Scanner so we went PR hunting mostly. It was good.
  22. Thank you everyone for playing. Many thanks to the GMs for their hard work. It was a great game and a great playerlist. A pleasure playing with you all. Next time we will win...flawlessly
