  1. What color is the letter E?

How do you feel about the How To Train Your Dragon movies?

How do you feel about dragons in general?

Is it bad that it is 4:00 in the morning and I still am not asleep?

Want to see pictures of my bird?

"Was this the dragon we were sent to find?"

"It couldn't breathe fire," Talnic said quietly, keeping his eyes away from the dragon. He cleaned the dragon's blood from his sword, moving swiftly, and soon had the blade back in its scabbard at his waist. "This isn't the end. We have to keep going." He looked up at the others, and suddenly became aware that his hat was missing. He cursed. He felt so exposed. And it would be weeks before they got to a place where he could purchase another hat.

Would you choose to gain the ability of flight if it meant losing your sight?

    Nope.

I really want to fly but I also like being able to see.

What insane thought possessed you to make this topic:D

    No idea.

    Ask me three years ago.

@Tesh! It’s been a storming year since someone posted on here, what do you want me to ask you??

This is my old one... I posted it three years ago...

The only reason there are any new posts is because Ene revived it a while back for a little while. There's a new one somewhere that I made a few months ago.

  5. Just now, Knight of Iron said:

"The other alternative being healing it," said Exodus, "I could impart health, if you desire."

Talnic glared at the man. Why hadn't he said anything about being able to heal before? It seemed like it would have been a good thing for them to know.

"I'm assuming that won't stop it from trying to kill us or someone else when it's able."

  6. 37 minutes ago, Knight of Iron said:

Exodus rolled off the dragon and plummeted off the edge of the tower, slowing his fall right before he landed. He stood beside Shadow, who seemed about to finish the dragon off.

To kill a dragon was murderous.

"You intend to kill the dragon?" Exodus called.

Talnic nodded. "There's no point in letting it suffer."

  7. Just now, Knight of Iron said:

Exodus leaped into the air and flew onto the dragon's back, gripping on tightly. He thrust out a hand and a burst of ice shot therewith, freezing the dragon's head.

    Talnic sighed.

What hadn't he Xues done that sooner?

While the dragon's head was trapped, Talnic ran and fell to his knees, sliding beneath the dragon. He ignored the screaming of his knees as he hit the stone, and thrusted his sword up into the soft underbelly of the dragon. It was a little disconcerting to see the sword through the body of the dragon.

The dragon bellowed, and Talnic stabbed it again.

It finally broke free of Xues's ice, and whirled to face Talnic, blood like liquid glass dripping from the wound. In the process, it managed to knock Talnic backwards, but he kept a firm grip on his sword.

Its face was a mask of pain and fury as it faced him.

Talnic pushed himself to his feet again, holding out his sword, the blade dripping with the dragon's strange blood.

The dragon took a step forward, but its knee buckled, and it crashed to the ground, letting out a roar that had a strange bell-like quality. The dragon gasped, and spoke. Its words were incoherent, likely spoken in a language long dead. Its head dropped, the words fading into a whisper, until they finally stopped. The dragon continued to breathe, but it took in air with quick gasps, its side rising and falling rapidly.

    It was an unnerving sight.

Talnic approached the dragon, his heart clenching at what he had to do. He didn't want to kill the beast, and yet he also didn't want to suffer.

But he had been the one to stab it.

And it had tried to kill him.

Gritting his teeth, Talnic prepared to make the fatal blow.

  8. Just now, Knight of Iron said:

"Need help?" Exodus grunted as he waved his sheathed sword above his head to draw the attention of the dragon.

"Yes!" Talnic snapped, jumping to the side as the dragon lunged at him again.

You make that sound like its a drug...

A pal of mine, and Sydney

It's totally a drug... I've read the first two SA books over ten times, I'm on my seventh read of OB, and I just finished my third round of MB era one...

    Once you get in...

There's very little chance of ever getting out.

Especially once you join the Shard.

Also, don't accept the cookies, unless the person offering them to you is a member of TUBA. They aren't allowed in the intro threads anymore, though.

I'm not quite sure how this works, but I'm down. Tesh invited me.

Is this the right place to even put this?

Hi! Welcome! I'm glad you're here!

You'll catch onto things soon enough. :)

  11. 4 minutes ago, Knight of Iron said:

"Do you need my help fighting this thing?" he called.

"Yes!" Talnic shouted, coming up to the dragon's side and swiping down. His sword bounced right off. Talnic swore, hoping he wouldn't ruin the blade.

The dragon turned to him, eyes wide and frenzied, and lunged forward. Talnic leaped to the side and swung up, hoping to catch the beast on the underside of the neck. The hit did little damage, but seemed to actually penetrate the dragon's hide.

The dragon roared in anger, spinning and swiping Talnic's feet out from under him with its tail. His sword clattered away.

He really hoped he wouldn't need to replace it.

  12. 1 minute ago, Condensation said:

"I think I can handle it long enough for both of us to get in."

The dragon was ready to strike again. They were taking too long. Minuet had missed her chance to leave, and Talnic wasn't going to leave if there was someone still on the roof.

Talnic drew his sword and charged the dragon.

  13. Talnic cursed. "Get out of here!" he shouted to the others. "There's no use fighting! It'll kill us in minutes! Get back into the tower!" He pulled the door open, waiting for a moment to see if any one would take the opportunity.

Any one who didn't would be an idiot, however. Staying and fighting meant death, unless the dragon decided to retreat.

I'm not really expecting anyone to run, though.

If they don't, Talnic is going to stay as well. And then people can use magic and stuff to take Eristal down.

  14. 4 hours ago, Knight of Iron said:

Exodus looked to the dragon. "It doesn't matter how I know of your kind. Unless you can tell me where I must go, though it sounds like you wouldn't know."

Exodus turns to the Shadow. "I can't trust you, unfortunately."

Eristal smiled, their lips pulling back from their teeth. "What do you mean, where should you go? There are many places you can go, and not many are pleasant." The dragon cocked their head for a moment, considering. But what if they sent them to a place where the world had already ended? Yes, that was an option. The place where the world burned. "Go to the south," they said.

Then they blinked. What had that been? The man... Yes, the man was not to be trusted... But the boy... He seemed earnest. Less deceitful...

But no one could be trusted.

The mission of the dragons was pointless.

And no one could be trusted.

"To the south," Eristal murmured. "Yes, to the south, there is much to the south..."

There was nothing to the south.

But they had to send the deceitful one away... Had to clear the path for... For what?

    Eristal did not know.

They laughed, then. A quiet sound. The laughter of a creature who was not quite in touch with their senses.

Another moment of lucidity flashed past, and Eristal seized it, trying to claw their way past the dark claws of the madness.

"We made a mistake," they said, voice hoarse. "We should not have returned... There are forces at play here that no one can understand... Things are changing... And you must act... Don't let the others come... But no... They'll come anyways..."

Eristal felt like screaming, but they were able to use their final struggling bit of sanity to resist. "There are are forces at play here we cannot understand, cannot know! And no one can be trusted... Or can they?"

Their sanity slipping away like sand through a sieve, Eristal threw their head back and let out a scream that seemed to be tangled with a roar, the noise ripping from their throat and fading away over the span of moments.

They lowered their head, crouching down, watching the people on the roof through narrowed eyes.

"I must kill them all," they muttered. "Kill them... Kill the deceitful ones... Yes... For things are changing... Things are changing... Nothing will stay the same... No... No, they are changing..."

    Eristal sprang at the girl.

  15. 1 hour ago, Knight of Iron said:

    Exodus grinned, but caught himself.

"I... wouldn't recommend you stay long," called Exodus, "Soon the dual nature of dragons itself will be destroyed, and all will die."

Eristal barred their crystalline teeth. "And what do you know of this event? And how are you so aware of my kind?"

The man was not aware of the dragon realm, but still knew more about the dragons than Eristal believed was common knowledge.

Or, at least, what was common knowledge...

    How long ago?

How long had they been in the dragon realm, separate from the other realms?

It had been many years indeed.

    Much would have changed.

Talnic gasped as the dragon touched down, staring with wide eyes. The dragon was unlike anything he had ever seen. Completely translucent, as if it were made of glass, with only a slight blueish tint.

He listened to the conversation, most of the words slipping past without registering in his mind.

But Xues's words caught his attention.

"Soon the dual nature of dragons itself will be destroyed, and all will die."

"And what do you know of this event? And how are you so aware of my kind?" the dragon replied. The words were soft and clear, and seemed almost like the chiming of a bell; they were accompanied by a faint sense of curiosity mingled with fear, that seemed foreign to Talnic.

His previous interactions with dragons had not prepared him for the strange experience of dealing with this creature.

"Xues," Talnic said. "What do you know?"

There was something going on. Something big. It was changing things... And the dragon and Xues seemed to know about it.

  16. 3 hours ago, Knight of Iron said:

"Good day, dragon," greeted Exodus, then noticed something. This was not a dragon from any part of the Cycle Exodus knew of.

"Where do you hail, O mighty dragon?"

Eristal flipped their wings in annoyance. Of course, knowledge of the dragon realm had long ago faded.

"I come from a place that is now separate from the rest of the cycle," they said.

    Oh yay you made another!

    What's your favorite candy?

    What's your favorite fairy tale?

What rep title are you most excited to get?

    Psychology or sociology?

1.) This was a statement, not a question. But the answer is 42. ;)

2.) Um... I really don't have favorites when it comes to thinks like this... Pretty much anything with milk chocolate, I guess...

3.) I can't answer this one either. I've read a lot of fairy tales. Maybe the Twelve Brothers.

    4.) Scadrian Waffle Cook.

5.) Psychology... But maybe also both and how the two interact... Because I'm a very decisive person, if you can't tell. :)
