(He's only read tWoK and tFE so I had to explain the aluminum thing.)

Me: I just had the best storming idea ever. Shardblades have trouble cutting through aluminum. It also blocks emotional Allomancy. I'm totally just gonna wrap myself up in aluminum foil. Cheap shardplate in which your emotions can't be Soothed or Rioted. Boom.

Friend: wow send this to brandon sanderson

Me: Duuuuuude. I totally should.

He didn't respond after that.

I also have this text from him from when he was reading tFE:

Friend: When do I see Hoid

Friend: My spider sense are telling me he is close by

Then there is also this:

Me: How'd yer test go, matey? [Non-existent pirate emoji]

Friend: Ye haw
