Any immortal worth their age can get around the idea of not aging. You can easily look similar in/ of indeterminate age for 20 years, if not longer. We don't know how long he's been an Ardent, or how long he's been in one place. Moreover he admits to losing the voice in his head(Nightblood) years ago. He has no posessions he would need to hide.

Of Note. zahel also appears to have Lifesense, and has memories of a voice in his head, heavily suggesting he's Vasher himself.
-
His immediate awareness of Kaladin's approach. Lifesense. Complaints about language. No decent metaphors. His reminiscance about a voice in his head. Spren are external, Nightblood isn't. His discussion of Highstorms as something different, and his general Cosmere Awareness. And his comments about his age. Rereading the section while looking for signs he's Vasher certainly make it seems plausible, if not likely.

Yeah... My girlfriend hasn't started it yet and I'm done... I'd never be able to wait for her, despite the fact she reads fast, she can't bingeread for 10 hours straight...

Rereading his Interlude, I 100% am sure. The hints are subtle, but telling.

Remember that Althis only has 25 letters. Which could mean 1-25. The high number of 111's implies some form of frequent letter combination... We need to get the Alethi Font guy in here... Also 5 is a double letter. Several 55s show up... 14 9 shows up twice in a row? 11 18 25 10 1 1 12 7 1 24 9 15 12 10 10 11 14 10 21 5 1 17 1 12 10 11 12 17 13 4 4 8 3 11 10 7 15 14 25 4 14 3 4 10 9 16 14 9 14 9 3 4 12 12 25 4 10 10 12 5 12 7 10 15 19 10 11 1 23 4 12 5 5 1 15 25 12 15 7 5 5 11 1 23 4 10 11 12 9 15 12 10 6 15 3 4 Here's a possible doublet set to work with... And Here's the Alethibet. A B D E F G H I J K L M N O P R S T U V Y Z SH TH CH I don't think it's a straight substitution. We need to work out the vowels.

The Law can feel Evil and Wrong. I mean e's approving of Szeth's near sociopathy. That doesn't mean it's evil. Just somewhat inhuman.

1 64 2 18 3 7 4 14 5 13 6 2 7 5 8 2 9 6 0 12 Of note, every 0 is preceded by a 1, so that makes 52 1s. This dispersion is strange, and not random in the least.

Spren are pieces of Shards though. Unless they are a side affect of Adonalsium's past on the planet. Either way, it seems wrong that the Spren would predate Shardic influence on the planet... They are clearly tied to the shards and their magic system. I don't have any better answers though.

I feel it's important to mention that Darkness is likely a Skybreaker as well, if not Nalan. Think about the emphasis on Laws. This feels like a major conflict brewing for the next book. Szeth is now being given Judge Jury and Executioner privelage by the people hunting down Radiants...

10 shows up an awful loty, and is an importan number on Roshar.... What if that's just the number 10 and the rest is code?

Think about the pain Elhokar caused him though. Elhokar is directly responsible for Tien's death. It just confirms everything Kal ever felt about lighteyes, and in a spot where he's been betrayed by those he trusted most. He's been prone to depressive swings since childhood. This was another one, and depressive swings are a powerful form of unlearning. Brandon is aware of this, in an episode of Writing Excuses he discusses his wifes own depression. Kaladin embodies some of that. Again, that doesn't make it no frustrating, but it's brilliant writing.

I swear we see the Stonewards give up Plate and Blade in one of Dalinar's visions. I just looked it up. We see them and some windrunners. 72% of the way through Way of Kings. -
The only issue I had were the resurrections. But even then, I've been saying from the start, that this is too early in the series to kill off resources. Nightblood is an amazing revelation. The Cosmere is meant to come together into a greater story, things needed to start seeping into the foreground. The Kaladin complaints are justified, but misguided. They are, as a monumentally stubborn person, how stubborn people change. A constant vague need to debate the idea mentally as you continue to squash the idea until finally you figure out and come to terms with the fact you were wrong. It looks stagnant, but it was fantastic characterization, and had me every scene. Is this the time he gets through to himself? Is it? Nope. He'll get there. It is frustrating, but it's supposed to be.

The first Bondsmith Oath us Unite not divide. That's guiding. -
He's trying very hard to prove his capability after years of being considered half a man by most, even his closest family. That leads to a mot of bottling up as he tries to be what the people around him want to be. The Alethi aren't exactly a communicative thoightful culture. And we never see him learn much in his training.

Remember, this code is part of Taravangian's Plan. That context ahould be kept I think.

Which would imply Odium was the one turning back the clock. I suppose it could be a marker of Odium's proximity, but that seems odd... And I'm not sure how it would be unprdictable(unless it's more of a probability thing... Where the universe makes it jump back and forth depending on it's analysis of Odium's mood...
-
I like this theory as well. But it implies a level of prophecy to Desolations that seems out of sync with Brandon's writing. It implies that the time of each desolation is predictable, but it seems to me that this desolation has been held off. Unless Whoever held it off also moved the sun/reset the countdown clock some basic trigonometry in Shadesmar could perfectly predict the Desolation...(Said resets are a possibility as well.
-
Entirely possible. I'm just operating off of a different theory. And Kaladin has only said one oath. We don't know what Jasnah or Shallan have done.
-
Assuming Radiant's generate a shardblade somewhere within their oaths. Jasnah's been soulcasting for some time. It seems likely that if that's how Shallan got her blade then Jasnah would also have one.
