  1. Szeth doesn't breathe for minutes at a time while holding Stormlight. Kal flies with it without plate. It's pretty heavily implied.
  2. It's heavily implied that cultivation is female. So I doubt he holds a shard.
  3. It's an Epigraph. One of the chapters from Words of Radiance as Shallan is reading it. Midbook somewhere.
  4. Remember Stormight replaces the need for Oxygen. Really think on that as far as staying alive for a moment. From there she Elsecall teleports herself somewhere with different natural laws (Shadesmar) and continues to heal or somewhere with lots of infused spheres and holds her breath till things heal.
  5. Quite possibly. Maybe they realized the enemy would keep fighting as long as they kept surgebinding. But I doubt the Spren were complicit. They seem pretty angry at humanity... Even the ones that lived(Stormfather)
  6. Isn't it awesome. I'd assumed he was a herald until I reread the section...
  7. I guess I'm saying, that having worked with a multitude of Spectrum Kids where he aits isn't a very debilitating place to be. Just eccentric. The siesures are his only real issue. (I wouldn't call fidgeting with a box stimming though either... My experience with Stimming has always been more severe and entirely attention grabbing. Trying to do line therapy with a kid that only wants to stim is miserable...) Renarin isn't doing anything you're average ADD case wouldn't do. So we can't blame his lack of nuerotypicallity for much. Just siezures we've lkterally never seen.
  8. The desolation was going to happen anyway. The Spren sensed it 6 plus years ago and started sending over Spren(Somewhat). Eshonai's sister seems to have been working toward this for some time.
  9. Sounds cool. I'm not sure this is how it will work, but it would be nice. Plus perhaps Dalinar used Tension to stop the greatshell, reinforcing his plate...
  10. Pretty sure Ym is the same order as Renarin as well. And he's also a dude.
  11. Perhaps Lopen has started gaining regrowth as well? Do we know how his arm was lost. Could it be from a shardblade and with the return lf his soul the amputation was undone...
  12. He's described as surviving the Recreance. That suggests he was bound at that time, so perhaps he's just harder to kill...
  13. I can see the Ghostbloods being allied with Hoid, but I wonder why they'd want to kill Jasnah then... Unless she's actually allied with the Ghostbloods and needed a push to get to the Highspren... Jasnah and Hoid seem pretty allied to me. It's strange... Like there's a single tangle in a knot that makes sense otherwise. Hmmmm.
  14. I don't think Vasher was in the purelake interlude... He's not so dark skinned as to be Makabaki, and the Alethi looking one is Demoux from Mistborn...
  15. I see it pretty much the opposite. The whole section about the recipient's name screams Hoid. Being called the name of his old master. Hoid. Being named after one of his "virtues." Wit. Hoid 100% wrote the first letter.
  16. Not necessarily. We know that Heralds with Shardblades are more powerful. We also see a herald catch a pair of blowdarts midflight. And we know that honorblades need more Stormlight, so Kal as a 3 oath radiant could quite easily have the advantage.
  17. Shallan and jasnah have discussed Soulcasting as if it happens similarly. That said, I'm not sure if Jasnah's soulcasting preferences are hers or part of her Radiant order... I do think Skybreakers have some different surges from Windrunners, but they can also clearly fly...(Based on name only)
  18. I'm pretty sure this code is aimed straight at us. As in if he didn't have us as a fanbase he'd never put in a code like this.
  19. I like the idea, but I'm not sure about having more than one(Not that it isn't possible, but it seems unnecessary and silly to throw into the story.) That said, If Heralds operate like returned(being Superhuman, and being psuedobonded to a shard.) perhaps that's why they can handle Honorblades without consequence. Syl makes Honorblades seem pretty dangerous to normal folk...
  20. I'm thinking the Voidsphere has more to do with the Unmade, and Gavilar's in particular is related to The Thrill. Jah Keved has more thrill than Alethkar at this point, and Jah Keved is where Szeth hid the Sphere. Gavilar was looking at unleashing the Parshendi gods to put the church back in power. It all strikes me as related somehow, Especially given the next book being"Stones Unhallowed"
  21. Stone is dependable and solid. As are wards. Kals Oaths are about Protecting others so far. Dancing and love are often considered intertwined. Either way, we know that the oaths are related, and that the names can be related to the attributes. The naming scheme isn't entirely consistant. But we agree pretty much 100% on which order is where too.
  22. Oooooh. I bet Returned and Heralds operate on a similar wavelength...
  23. I don't think he has plotted out the whole series. He discusses the fact he has to have written and finalized the first book before he can plot the second on Writing Excuses at least once. He knows some things, but not others. And frankly, Kal hasn't had so much as a single romantic thought towards Shallan. It's obvious he respects her greatly, and that every guy in the SA finds her attractive. But Kal has also said No Lighteyes ever. I'm hoping he holds to the idea he likes Darkeyed women.
  24. Love triangles are obnoxious stories, and anyone that is truly conflicted over who to be with is debating between two wrong people. When a person is right, you know.
