  1. I mean, when you create an Epic to control something generally regarded as creepy, you can bet someone else will have done it too.
  2. Above is Arachnerd's character proposal. EDIT: I like Ironwood. He's well made.
  3. Okay, so the reason this doesn't work is because it doesn't pull from their their center of gravity, it pulls their center of gravity. It would be like putting a cinch-strap from the metal plate to their waist and trying to lift themselves that way. Going to admit that I once thought that would work, but basically just collapses your knees. You could allow him to pull from just above him though, such that the plant would keep moving toward that relative point and bring him with it.
  4. Okay, just a quick clarification: Bloodlit objects no longer "regenerate." They instantly revert to their previous state every certain number of seconds, usually eight. Umm.... Not sure if someone beat me to it, but YES. Wind Epic capable of blowing away large numbers of spiders...
  5. Ah. Hadn't thought about that. Maybe he can only do one person at a time? Edit: Which would include outside of his range who can't have a real aura, but will revert once in two hours.
  6. Karabiner: Arachnerd: Bloodlight: Mightwielder: The Fence: Grant: UNREVIEWED CHARACTERS Leyline:
  7. Hmmm. I guess that makes sense. I think if he changes the chemical composition of the matter the aura will dissapate, but changing the physical shape before breaking the aura that way would undone by the Backlash. Sound good to you?
  8. The aura will dissipate if the Creator successfully brings the matter under his control, not while they're fighting over it. If he scatters the molecules without bringing the matter fully under his control, the aura will remain and Backlag the object on schedule.
  9. I think it would require a Trump power to override the aura, but it could become a focus fight in other cases, where whoever is controlling more matter would lose the object in question.
  10. Bloodlight final draft (I made him kind of a useless invincible Epic). Character profile: Power profile: (I've devided it into a bunch of abilities for clarity) And there he is. I realize I made him a High Epic, but I hope his lack of real ability (everything he does undoes itself) will make up for that. Any last things to fix before I put it on the thread?
  11. Hey, uh... This thread is kind of long, isn't it? Maybe we should create a Question 1R thread? EDIT: Wait nevermind it's still less than half the size of the last one. But still, it might be helpful.
  12. Yes. It catches entire objects, like poles, but chains would act as multiple pieces: The links within three inches of his skin would be power level 2, (these go backward, with 1 being his personal field) those touching them would be level 3, etc., but any charged object will not be charged by other objects.
  13. So with the pole, you would actually end up losing your grip on it as it disintegrated out of your hand, your hand kept moving, and then it rebuilt itself behind your hand. As for the wall, that ability was actually key in the development of his powers, so yes, he could and does.
  14. So am I. It won't be important, but it might show up in his narrative. When I figure it out, it will be basically a joke in his personality thing.
  15. that could make for some interesting character things. I'll put it in his personality when I figure it out.
  16. Okay, so I actually have a bunch of Epics (and a few Maples(?)) I want to try to use, but I'll just start with Bloodlight. Power Mechanics: Creates a field of dark red glowing energy extending about three inches from his body. This Bloodlight - his namesake - can also be extended to envelop things that are partly within his Bloodlight field, giving them their own field half as extensive as his (I.E. Bloodlight's energy field extends 3" while his sword's field extends 1.5" and what it's touching -should he push it further - has a .75" field, and so on.) This energy is both destructive and regenerative, weakening the structural integrity of everything - including him - within it's power, making it easy to destroy, but reverting things back to the state they were in before he messed with them after a certain amount of time. The larger the item's field, the faster it will regenerate, with each halving reducing the regeneration speed to about one third of the previous field. Any object he withdraws his Bloodlight from will retain a residue of it that only serves to rebuild it, though this can take hours, as opposed to his personal second. Whenever the envelopped thing is damaged, its Bloodlight field disperses in a self-undoing destructive blast (basically just the normal effects but much faster.) from the center of the damage, then reassumes itself unless he consciously dismisses it. He can also make an envelopped object move quickly in a specific direction, though this power is rather limited. Power Uses: Bloodlight's personal energy field makes him susceptible to serous injury from things like popsicle sticks and plastic toys, but allows him to regenerate most tissues and cells within a second, also disintegrating - and instantly reintegrating - the offending object. (note, rebuilding a human this way would not revive them. The reassembled object will also lose all momentum it had.) His structural weakening makes him unable to support normal things like heavy boxes as well, as they tend to break his back. Luckily, things he has no qualms about destroying and undestroying can simply be rocketed upward if he needs then to. If he got ahold of a nuclear weapon, he would be crazy dangerous, as he could use the now hair-trigger nuke multiple times, as long as he picked up the rebuilt weapon before someone else does. Let's just say he'll never get a nuke unless we need somebody very powerful to die a hundred times. PI: His regeneration can serve as a PI, but a machine guN or two could probably take him as could a big enough bomb. Weakness: Spiders. His powers have no effect on them or anything within three inches of them, and if he gets bitten by one he won't be able to use his powers again until that particular spider is dead. A spider's likeness has some power over him, keeping him subdued unless his PI needs to kick in, at which point he goes into fully Corrupted Epic mode until a real spider touches him, at which point his powers are rendered impotent and a likeness will keep him contained. He actually had a spider tattooed onto his arm right after he became an Epic for this purpose, so contact with a spider will take him out of Epic mode for a fair amount of time. That does not, however, mean that he has conquered his weakness at all, he's just learned to ignore the tattoo. Backstory: TBD will edit Personality: TBD related to backstory, so I'm not sure.
  17. So, apparently a social media fast can magically revive threads that I only got to participate in a little bit? I've been staying off of social media this past week, so of course I get a hundred email notifications from my phone titled "question 20" that I don't read. I followed the thread right before it died when I was trying to hey in with a couple of cool Epics. I didn't unfollow it in hopes that it might be revived, and now look where I am! I'm other words, I'm totally in. I'll just have to go back and read more of what y'all decided for sure... EDIT: Okay, so Vanillas have become Maples, right? Good to know, especially since my nickname has been Vanilla in other circles so whenever I came on and read RP stuff I felt like ask of the Epics were out to kill me specifically.
  18. Pretty self explanatory. I saw that other users have a name history, but Ican't figure out how to change my name. Not that I'm likely to do so anytime soon, but I would like to know in case I ever want to for some reason. How does it work?
  19. Hate to double-post, but I don't know if y'all would see this if it was just an edit, so my apologies. ArmyOfHelium has created a Discord server for this, and we need to know your discord tags so we can invite you. Alternatively, you can send me a friend request and I can invite from there. Or whatever works, I'm kind of new to Discord, so if you have another way feel free to tell me.
  20. Except that Koloss can't use Allomancy. And they didn't even burn spikes, just got four.
