  1. That taking in stormlight removes the Nightwatcher's gift.
  2. I wonder if her final truth would be to accept that the Shallan we all see is also a lie considering these latest chapters.
  3. I think it was mentioned in the books. Does anyone know what is Shallans second truth? 1. life before death 2.?? 3.Killed father 4.Killed mother
  4. I'm pretty sure that Sazed is dealing with Bavadin/Trell/Autonomy which is represented by the Red Fog in Waxs death scene. So I assume the color red belongs to her.
  5. And thus were the disturbances in the Revv topiarchy quieted, when, upon their ceasing to prosecute their civil dissensions, Nalan'Elin betook himself to finally accept the Skybreakers who had named him their master, when initially he had spurned their advances and, in his own interests, refused to countenance that which he deemed a pursuit of vanity and annoyance; this was the last of the Heralds to admit such patronage. And I believe this happened after the other orders disbanded.
  6. Why not arrange them according to their colors? Ruin - Black Autonomy - Red Honor - Blue Preservation - White
  7. Some form of worship of the Heralds probably exists, just not the church and religion. My theory is that the 'retired' KR kind of formed into the church/ardentia. When you vaguely look at it, the ardentia are kind of what the various orders were (scientists, artists, warriors, soulcasters, stormwardens). Although the church could have mirrored their organization based on the orders.
  8. Its because Mraize specifically mentions Heleran set out in search of them and not any other order.
  9. Will Adolin give up his shardplate if Dalinar asks it of him? Is Dalinars memory recovery tied to his Kingship or his marriage? Were the Parshendi the enemy during the Last Desolation or all the desolations?
  10. It was always going to be the main 5. Brandon already stated the first half of the Stormlight Archive is based on them.
  11. I'm in the Sunmaker camp. He was Shin, his death and revival or experience in Shadesmar could have led him to the path of conquest.
  12. Tranquiline Halls??
  13. And it is inhabited, according to Khriss.
  14. Am I the only one who went this way: The Traitor - Moash The Spy - Shen/Rlain It will be interesting when Dalinar (The King) learns of this: Listener Song of Histories 12th Stanza Tis said it was warm in the land far away When Voidbringers entered our songs. We brought them home to stay And then those homes became their own, It happened gradually. And years ahead ’twil still be said ’tis how it has to be
  15. I assumed that Jasnah had visited all the Oathgates before going to the Shattered Plains. If she only 'thought' Kurth had an Oathgate then she might not have gone to Rishir to actually look for the Oathgates.
  16. Greatshell island?? Nah, unlikely considering what Oathgates need to work.
  17. Ok, didn't notice that. Guess it just didn't make sense to me for Rishir to claim an island so far away as its own.
  18. I don't think there can be an Oathgate in Kurth if the one in Rall Elorim is confirmed because they were both part of ancient Iri. Rishir/Herdaz would have its own Oathgate.
  19. My Theory: The Recreance was a concerted effort by the KR to erase themselves. At the time there has not been a Desolation for several millennia and the KR have begun to fight among themselves due to differing loyalties. Having been told by the Heralds that there would no longer be any Desolations, they probably believed that surgebinding were becoming too dangerous since their numbers were getting too numerous. Some of the Skybreakers remained to enforce the plan and the Heralds co-opted them to annihilated budding surgebinders. The Hierocracy happened due to the later Ardents being descendants of former KR and believed that they have a duty to guide the kingdoms. Thoughts?
  20. or that shardplate's are basically condensed investiture/stormlight.
  21. I believe whats changed is the connection of the Bonded Spren with the shardplate. The later stages of the Oaths probably allows the Radiant and their spren to gain greater control of Stormlight/Investiture like forging shardplate and the Oathgate key-slot.
  22. The Shattered Plains was most likely the last on her list since it was essentially hostile territory.
  23. From how I understand it, the Shattered Plains Oathgate had been forgotten even before the Recreance maybe even as far back as before the Last Desolation. The area was abandoned when it was shattered.
  24. I'm wondering if the peace the Diagram mentions is peace as in unity among the human kingdoms or peace with the parshendi against Odium?
