Long Game 40: Ashen Rebellion
BrightnessRadiant replied to Droughtbringer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
mm yeah only one elim is mentioned in the player list, but if iirc than the elims so far were Drake, Rand, Asterion, and Lemon, right? Okay so I'm gonna try to look at some stuff for this game: First I was starting to look at the inactives and I was wondering about Budgie, but then I looked through her posts and she voted on Asterion for the first lynch when there was only a 1 vote lead on someone and it was on Drake so if she had been an elim teammate, I doubt she would've tried to save one teammate by voting for another one:P. So I'm crossing her off my list for now. So, next I'll look at bard. Okay, nope he never posted ever except rp when he signed up so he's off my list too xD. @manukos Is there a reason you are voting on bard other than he's inacitve? Because I doubt he's an elim if he's been completely inactive. mm ShaneyRus didn't do much and hasn't been active in quite a while. Not even on other forums on the Shard so I think that's a cross off for me as well. Sami is in my house and hasn't been active since like the second cycle or something. I never saw anything to be suspicious of from her really. I understand wanting to go after the inactives if you're annoyed at losing active players, but if the village focuses on the inactives while the elims focus on the actives than we'll be killing our chances at finding the last elim because I don't think the elim is completely inactive. These players all seem to be truly inactive or like budgie, I don't suspect at all. I think it's better to take a chance at lynching an active player still because if it gets down to just inactives anyways then Drought will probably call the game. We know that the elim isn't completely inactive if they hit Arinian last night. I'll be back later to take a look at the active players.- 548 replies

Sooooooooo I kinda went inactive *very shamed xD Sorry y'all I'm just so busy rn. I literally have no idea what's going on anymore cuz I've been out for several cycles. I'd loooove a sum up if anyone's willing. For now, at least I'll read through this cycle. Edit: Okay finished reading through the thread and since no one has posted since me I'll just add this here xD I'm very out of the loop, but reading through this cycle has given me a pretty good run down of what's been happening. Also, I think Asterion was the last person I voted on and it was because of some stuff Legend told me in the doc and I was busy and so I voted on him cuz the reasons made sense so I trust Legend a lot. So, from thinking back on what I know of the game and what I read this cycle I'd say that Lopen is definitely my top villager read(and if you're not then good job bro, you're very good at fooling me xD). I can see Rand as being an elim...something just feels off to me about him. Everyone has good reasons for why Arin and Rebecca are suspicious too and to avoid any vote manipulation or stuff changing tonight when I can't get on(cuz I have a Christmas party:P) then I'll vote Arinian.- 548 replies

shhhh xD @randuir Yeah I don't suspect Legend of being an elim because of stuff he's done and said in the house doc, and Sami has been mostly inactive so I doubt she is either xD. I don't know they aren't positively because I haven't actually seen their alignments lol...but otherwise I'd say it's fairly safe to assume they are village. Either way I would put them lowest on my list of suspects. Okay after reading through this cycle, I was so confused by the stuff surrounding Darkness xD. I was like "wait, but I thought that Darkness' house hit Alv so the elims hit Phatt right?? " and then I saw stuff saying that Alv was the elim kill and I was like "what....is happening" xD. So, I think I see this now. Alv was elim kill. and Darkness' house just had miscommunication. That makes so much more sense now. lol I should go back through the other cycles and look closer at everything, but I'll just admit that I'm feeling lazy and don't want to right now. Looking through everyone's analysis this cycle tho has given me some good reminders of what's happened in the previous cycles. I think for now I'll vote Asterion because he could've been trying to save Drake day 1. Also, he's not on my radar of likely villagers. This is a hidden message...congrats on finding it.:P P.S. Sony is cool.- 548 replies

Mm I'm not really sure why a village coinshot would've gone after steeldancer? I don't recall him being under and known suspicion in thread. Of course it's possible, but there's not really any way of knowing unless an elim coinshot is found I guess. Either way, the elims knew steeldancer was a misting because he role claimed in doc while Drake was still there. Mmm if the elims didn't hit Phatt the way you're suggesting then why didn't they hit anyone? Darkness just admitted that their house targeted Alvron. So that only leaves Phatt for the elim target. I for one, am very grateful the pile up happened since people went crazy with kills. Y'all do know that if that had ended as 4 separate kills and they all ended up noble deaths, you're shooting us in the foot? Please don't use kills unless you have very good suspicions to back them up. I saw a lot of suspicion placed on Phatt and I didn't see why honestly. The things he did on cycle one seemed far more village to me than elim. I said as much, but figured maybe so many of the players being suspicious of him I was just wrong so I helped with the tie vote on him. (Mostly I figured we needed to see what happened during a tie) If I recall correctly, it was Lopen who pushed very hard for his suspicions on Phatt. I remember him doing this one game when he was an elim on Paranoid King and he got him lynched. Aside from the Phatt "suspicion" he's also struck me as a little off in pm as well. I dunno why exactly. I'll be looking back through his posts today, but for now Lopen to avoid voting late.- 548 replies

Alright, I think it'd be best to claim the rest of my house members so they avoid the lynch and if anyone could protect us that'd be great:P. The only remaining members are me, Legend, and Sami. It's not like the elims don't already know who we are, so I don't see why it's unsafe to claim to the village. Our house could use all the help we could get. It's not like you're in danger from us passing your houses in posts because we only have 3 people left to even post. If you help us, we will help you find the skaa. If you're interested in helping out you can pm me about it and we'd be very grateful.:P We'll do what we can to help you while we last. xD I haven't read everything in this cycle yet, but I'll be back on later with some more thoughts and hopefully a vote.:P And rp (probably depressing rp, since Adela just lost 3 family members in like two day) rip lol Everyone remember that you have to put in the action to go to the ball, during the day cycle. If that hasn't already been reminded in this thread today lol.- 548 replies

Okay, so I feel like my house is a little doomed at this point so I'm just gonna tell everyone this now so maybe it can help with your analysis and reads. (especially since I might die before too long anyways xD) Drake was the elim in my house and I say THE elim because we only had 6 players to begin with and I don't think we'd have more than one elim in our small house. So, cycle one we lost the spy in our house. Cycle 2 starts and bam! we lost two of our nobles. Striker and Steel were both in my house. I think the real reason they were targeted is because the skaa lost their connection to our doc, which made us have a secure place to plan and get ahead as a house and be way more dangerous to the elims as an entire house of semi-cleared villagers. Steel had role claimed in the doc, but Striker had not. So, I know that the elims hadn't gotten that from our doc. Our house may be taken out in quick succession, but I'm planning to do what I can while I'm alive. I'll come back later to do rp and other analysis, but for now this is all I got.:P Imma be pretty busy all evening.- 548 replies

Okay, I still don't see it.:P I don't think it'd be a good idea for Phatt to vote Drake the way he did. As to why Drake didn't use his role, I know from others in my house that not everyone started off with metals even if they are a misting. Yeah that was the point xD. I was saying *why* the skaa wouldn't buss on Day 1. ________________________________________________________________________ Adela sat at dinner, staring at her plate of untouched food. Uncle Belmark was dead? He'd been a spy? How long? She only realized half way through her Father's statement that he was addressing her, so she only caught the last half of what he was saying. "....really should've gone to the ball. By not going, you give way to their idle gossip. Our house needs to keep it's head held high." "Yes, Father. I'm sorry." Adela said, absently poking an overcooked vegetable on her plate. "Yes, well, there will be another ball tomorrow night, and I want you both there." Lord Rousseau looked at both of his children firmly and nodded. There would be no arguing this time. Adela generally enjoyed the balls, but she knew Variel hated them. He hadn't seemed to mind as much recently, but she couldn't figure out why. She supposed it was a good thing, considering they attended so many of them. She was glad they'd gotten off so lightly from not attending this ball. After she'd heard the news that Uncle Belmark had been executed, she couldn't just put on a smile and pretend that nothing had happened. She wondered if he was the only one? After dinner she'd send another message to her contact. A house alliance was definitely what they needed. Things had become even more real and terrifying with this new development. They needed to work more quickly. @StrikerEZ- 548 replies

*Ahem* I read the opposite. I read bussing, and this is exactly the hoped-for result of bussing someone d1. Bussing is helpful in some cases, but not on Day 1 when the skaa already have to work hard for their win con and need every player they have to gain points. I doubt bussing will happen in this game unless it really becomes necessary. Doesn't seem like a good strategy.- 548 replies

Okay I'll look back over last cycle again sometime, but for now, off the top of my head this is what I got from it. Phattemer was trying to get Drake lynched the whole time...I could tell this just by reading through the swapping lynches because every time Drake got an extra vote he'd switch back to Drake immediately. -definitely reading village for this because he pushed very hard on someone who ended up being an elim on Day 1 Lopen voted Drake when there were still a few other candidates out there and he did it on Day 1 which I find harder to believe an elim would do. (not impossible, just less likely and that's what I have to work from) -reading village for this rn Alvron pushed for a tie, but it was cycle one and there wasn't much reason to suspect Drake yet. (I can see why he'd push for a tie because we need to know what will happen in one sooner rather than later because when it gets important later than we need to know) I can see Alv doing this as villager or elim so it's NAI for me. So, for any suspicions I'll go back through and look at who was actively "trying" to keep Drake out of the lynch or pushing for a tie to go unnoticed. (people that weren't Alv because it was his idea, but it'd be easy for an elim to hide by acting like they're going along with it)- 548 replies

@TheMightyLopen I mean, we diiiiid just go through a game like that, but it was only an elim voting on his teammates day 1 to get them killed on purpose cuz he had a secret role. I don't see someone voting on their teammate on Day 1 as a very good thing to do when people tend to look for the smallest thing to grasp onto. (oddly enough it was Drake who voted on his teammate in that game lol) I don't think I'd lynch Drake rn because he's an active player who's actually been adding to discussion and I don't see that anything he's done is suspicious. I know I said earlier that Road's behavior seemed like normal Road, but I don't see the importance of talking about mistborn and such as much as adding discussion to the thread about the lynch. And now he just added a vote to get someone to be active when cycle is ending in like 2 and a half hours. I don't see that as being a very helpful time to vote on someone when you just want them to be active. Just seems like an easy way to avoid voting imo. It's not a lot to go on and these things could be done by a villager, but for now it's all I got. Roadwalker- 548 replies

Okay I was gonna vote earlier like I said, but I became busy irl so I couldn't. After reading through the thread, I can honestly say it's a typical day 1....and by that I mean, I literally have nothing to go on and zero suspicions haha. I don't like starting day 1 lynches and don't like straight up bandwagoning. But....mostly everyone has either just rp'd or said good things or things I didn't find suspicous xD. How can I vote then???? Come on guys, be suspicious and make me want to lynch you haha. Sorry, I gotta go again and I'll just have to think about this some more. Also, y'all should really post your thoughts on the game too...not just rp. Edit: ninja'd by Lopen- 548 replies

Adela paced the length of her room for what seemed like hours. She couldn't stop thinking about the fact there could be a spy in her own house. How could she sleep when she could be murdered in her bed at any moment? She resolved to take action. Taking out a sheet of parchment and her quill she penned a note to someone she thought just might be willing to help her. Dear sir, Would you be interested in an alliance between our two houses? These are troubling times, and we need to work together if these traitors are to be found. I'm sure we could come to some sort of arrangement to help each other if you're willing. yours respectfully, Adela Rousseau *** "Take it straight there, you understand me? Don't stop for any reason, and make certain to come to me straight away if he gives you a response." Adela handed her note to a servant and breathed a small sigh of relief as they slipped out the back door of the servant's quarters. Normally she'd have rung her bell to call for a servant, but she didn't want to wake her family. Or the spy. Relaxing a little for the first time all evening, she made her way back to her room as quietly as possible. _________________________________________________________________________ Sooooo, I'm gonna look over the thread some more to try and vote earlier than last minute heh, but here's some rp for now:P.- 548 replies

Mhm I doubt there would be a mistborn in one house unless they were a skaa xD...doesn't seem fair to give one noble that role and not give it to the other houses as well. I think every role should be looking for the skaa, and not just assume there are better roles who could do it for us. That said, I don't think this coming from Road is alignment indicative, as I've played with him a bunch. Just seems like a side thought. I haven't the slightest clue how to give analysis on day one of a faction game when not much has been said but rp. I do agree that the houses shouldn't start targeting each other just to get ahead because that would be the quickest route to our failure. As for a vote, I'll wait for more people to post in the cycle so I have more to look at.- 548 replies

Long Game 40: Ashen Rebellion
BrightnessRadiant replied to Droughtbringer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Adela tapped a finger on her chair as she thought back on the night’s events. Her father had come home from a meeting in a rage and called them all into the sitting room. “Spies! Traitors! And to think they could be in my house at this very moment!” He’d been so red-faced that everyone in the room had stayed silent for that little “family meeting”. Could he be right though? Could someone in their house...in their family even...be a spy? She shuddered. She couldn’t imagine that someone she’d known all her life could’ve been living a lie. Everyone knew that spies and subterfuge were common among the houses, but not within the houses. She decided to keep an account of her day to day happenings, in hopes that even the smallest piece of evidence would prove useful. She didn’t know if she’d expose someone she loved, but she wouldn’t remain in the dark about it either. Adela gasped. What if someone in her lineage was the skaa spy?! That would make her….no, she pushed the thought from her mind. Impossible. She’d be disgraced….or worse. She determined she’d keep an eye out for a spy living among them, but she prayed it wasn’t true. A sound from down the hall made her jump. Had that come from Variel’s room? She slipped from her room, and made her way to her brother’s. “Variel?” She said softly, while knocking on the door lightly. No answer. Hmm he must’ve fallen asleep already. How on earth can he sleep after tonight? She shook her head and decided to leave him be. He was always reading before bed so the thump had probably just been him dropping his book as he drifted off. He’d done it enough times that she’d grown used to noises like that. Shrugging, she made her way back to her room for a sleepless night.- 548 replies
