I have a random question about a possible link between Elantris and Stormlight Archive. I have read all the Stormlight archive books and I’m almost done with Elantris so I’ve been trying make connections everywhere.
But my question is about cryptic Spren. They are described as having a pattern that just keeps repeating…so I’m wondering if maybe their patterns are just Aons that are laid over each other so you can’t really tell it’s an Aon? That’s probably dumb but I just can’t stop thinking about it.

Close, but no. Cryptics don't have Aons in their symbols. Each Cryptic's name is a unique number/mathematical constant and their head/symbol is a fractal pattern. Aons are unique to Elantris and Seons.
However, there was a Seon appearing in RoW and several other connections to Elantris.
If you want to know where:
SpoilerSoen was in the communication box given to Shallan by Mraize. In RoW ch 115, it was revealed it was a Seon named Ala:
QuoteAdolin fell silent, waiting and watching as Shallan lifted the top of Mraize’s cube. With help from Kelek, they’d gotten it open without harming the thing inside: a spren in the shape of a glowing ball of light, a strange symbol at the center. No one here recognized the variety of spren, but Wit called it a seon.
“Are you well, Ala?” Shallan asked. It was said like A-layIn OB ch 97, the lighthouse keeper is an Elantrian named Riino, who you've met in Elantris (spoilers for Elantris):
SpoilerThe Hoed who vanished in the pool.
Those are the two main ones.

I figured that was a seon when I started Elantris! It’s so cool! I knew it was specific to each one as well. I know someone asked Brandon if they are glyphs and he said no. Brandon did say we could possibly recognize them. Seeing as the only other like magic language I know is that I thought it could connect. Thank you!
