How about "sealight"? You didn't include it in your list of options, and I think it sounds good. I'm thinking no on "merlamp" and errrr on "glowbottle". "Bluetorch", while it sounds cool, doesn't sound like it has to do with the ocean, but with a cold fire. "Sea-lamp" and "waterlight" are fine, but I think "sealight" is good.

Quick Fix Game 22: Ghosts in the Night
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It is the final hour... the last hour of HARVEY's existence. It had done what it could, but that was not enough. It recalled the AirCam, which whirred down into its palm. Then HARVEY crushed it with its fist in one blow. Bits of electronics fell between its fingers. Defiant, HARVEY strode out into the town center. No one noticed at first, the illusion was up. But then it flickered... sputtering image, flashes of cold metal bones and wired veins. The people stared and gasped, the once normal "human" shuddering into a technological being. HARVEY's smooth face plate, devoid of mark or line, regarded the town with an eyeless gaze. The fading sunlight glinted off its metallic limbs. Then the townspeople cried out, tossing rocks at a creature so foreign. "Voidbringer!" The men drew swords and knives, mothers clutched children. HARVEY was stoic. It scanned the town rooftops, watching. The lens of Brandir's telescope flashed, watching the spectacle. HARVEY raised a fist, its assailants stepping back in fear. But the fist was not to them, but the man behind the distant telescope, who watched, guilty. HARVEY held the fist aloft, a symbol of defiance, unmoving, as the frightened and angry townspeople moved in. One stroke, CLANG! Two strokes, CLANG! Three strokes, SNAP! Four strokes, SHIING! Five strokes... Over and over, the flash of the sword and the beat of the rock, a vicious rhythm and malevolent cacophony. HARVEY's cameras began to shut down, the sensors fading, circuits snapping, the circuit boards cracking. Senses fled from HARVEY, the semblance of life leaving. HARVEY never was alive... so could it die? This final question drifted into the void as HARVEY's AI shut down. The townsfolk heard a pop and jerked back from the prone form of HARVEY. A mist rose from the metal carcass, twisting in the twilight. It rose into the sky, weaving in the wind, before disappearing all together, the last of what was HARVEY, Hyper Advanced Variant of Environmental Yesterdays, version 3.14.159s.- 246 replies

So if you caught my post in the happy thread about Alligator Alley, then you know the first half of the story. The second half is that the band director announced that we won't be playing it. Why must the universe torture me so! I've wanted to play this song every since the seventh grade! -

Hmm. I see the logic in lynching me. Lopen, you expressed suspicion of me D2, so I'm not surprised you decide to lynch me. I will just say to lynch Len for me once I'm gone.- 246 replies

Well, thank you for responding, those who did. The thing is, Len, is that your targeting of Bart coupled with Aman's suspicion, and that you switched your vote to the bandwagon, to hasten the death of another villager, plus what my partner expressed, combines to make a strong suspicion of you.- 246 replies

Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
And so the day opened, as all others did, as ash fell from the sky. A glaring red sun loomed in the dark sky, and Quinn was taking his lovely morning stroll, enjoying the day on his way to work, as an accountant. He had a wristwatch, a lovely golden one, on his left wrist. It was very ordinary, not too noticeable, except to pickpockets and thieves. Quinn's watch was much more valuable than a little trinket, to him. For the watch was secretly a metalmind. It was one of the few he actually showed in daylight, disguised of course. Quinn had a few others elsewhere on his body. He tread the worn cobble streets of Fadrex to his office, on the other side of the town from the lovely little apartment complex where he and his wife took residence. Room 15b, to be precise. Quinn liked to be precise. He patted the pocket of his suit, where he had slipped the strange letter that had come in the morning mail. His wife had no idea of what it implied. They already lived here, and in the full four years of their residence, not one word of this test had come. Well, now that Quinn thought about it, there was one other time, but he had dismissed it. He walked along, lost in thought. Suddenly, a figure tumbled out of an alley, in a bulky trench coat. Quinn was jerked from his reverie and his moral instincts kicked in. He hurried over to see if the man was alright. Ah, Quinn's fatal flaw, his innocence. Despite being so successful, he knows so little of the real world. Really, butting in so soon? Couldn't you just let the story unfold? And now look, you've gone and confused everyone else! Shush, it'll be fine. We can reveal ourselves in proper fashion later. Ciao, everyone. Goodday. -

Quick Fix Game 22: Ghosts in the Night
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I just skimmed through the past cycles (what is this? HH doing substantial analyisis? Impossible!) Well, I don't think it too substantial, but I took a look at who thought Bart/Aman was suspicious. In D1, Len voted on Bart, mostly as a retaliation, but also because of suspicion. To follow that, in D2, Len also voted on Bart, but switched his vote to Sart with the bandwagon. Jondesu voted on Bart D1, because Bart was suspicious with his first post. Drake voted on Bart D1, but removed it shortly after and accused Lopen. Rand, in N1, labeled Bart as "neutral". Arinian voted on Bart D2, following up on the D1 suspicion and was still curious for an answer. So, D1 votes on Bart: Sart, Elenion, Drake, Jondesu. D2 votes on Bart: Elenion, Arinian. Now, let's take a look at votes on Sart, because of the major bandwagon on him last Day. Votes on Sart D1: None. Votes on Sart D2: HH, Jondesu, Elenion, TheMightyLopen. Sart voted on Magestar, as well as Stick. Jondesu had voted on Stick, but removed it and placed it on Sart. And the final part of analysis is a conclusion, so I'm calling out to @Elenion, (for repeated accusations of Bart) @Jondesu, (because you voted on Bart D1 and Sart and Stick D2) and @Magestar (who both Stick and Sart voted on) to explain themselves. Also, @Arinian, with your D2 vote on Bart, you expressed that it didn't matter that Aman was Bart's partner.- 246 replies

Yes. Picture the bassoon on a pedestal, facing upwards, liquid investiture trickling from its holes like a fountain. Then when the world is in great danger, there will be a hero, who will find and take up the Shardbassoon and vanquish the evil with epic bassoon powers.
