    I'd say no, it's not about friction but mass, when a particle get close to speed of light inertial mass increase, thus it is harder to increase the speed.In the limit of speed of light, mass is infinite, so you can't go faster.

    I just finished the Tawny Man trilogy by Robin Hobb, it was fun but the end was very disappointing and ruined important events of the books.

    Lopen' healing make me wonder if Hobber was able to fully heal before Kaladin left.

    IIRC Spren bonds also degrades with distance, seems like squire bond behave similar.
