  1. And of course it came from Calderis, and presumably from Arcanum. *sigh*.
  2. Then why the desolations? Again, Oathpact. I think when we have an understanding of the oathpact, we'll be able to understand Odiums actions. But at this point your issues are more with the grander understanding of what's going on with Roshar.
  3. I've never seen that one! Wishing I had arcanum right now.
  4. To address that, i guess we'd have to turn to the "humanity are refugees from Braize" theory. Also at that point we would need to understand more about the Oathpact itself, which I sort of think effects how things play out in my theory. But I imagine it's something like Odium came to Braize and chased humanity around, then started torturing the Heralds. As he tortured the Heralds, one of them broke. Here's when we need a better understanding of the Oathpact, because somehow Odium hacks this break to 1. Create a desolation 2. Create an unmade. Or, maybe the unmade comes first after the break, and that's how the desolation started. The unmade acts as the Parshendi "God", and turns them all into voidbringers. Do I make any sense at all?
  5. Go read the unmade= herald analogue thread.
  6. I talked about oathbringer very early on. Got lost in the discussion of other stuff.
  7. I dont think you're being rude, it's just it makes So much sense. it feel like puzzle pieces have fallen into place. That's why I'm so excited about it.
  8. "Scotty, give me more power!" "I can't, the gemcore is about to blow! She's giving everything she's got!"
  9. What would be the point of Theorycrafting If we already knew everything for sure? I will defend my Theories, until proved Wrong by WoB.
  10. Well we know it's less than 99. And we don't know it's not 9. So my theory is entirely valid. Until proved Wrong
  11. Nah, upon further thought, if the everstorm is the unmade, it's just a vessel for the unmade, and is unrelated to the bondsmiths. If there's a 10th unmade, according to my theory, it should be more related to the Stonewards. So... maybe the stone of shin will turn against them or something. Idk.
  12. Well my theory gets chucked if a have any different number of desolations than 9, so...
  13. Well if it's confirmed to be not 9 desolations, my theory goes out the window. Oh well
  14. Ok is the issue people have with my idea that they think that I'm saying the Unmade came after the desolations? Because... I never said that. The heralds broke before the desolations ended, or so I think. So first desolation, first unmade. Second desolation, second unmade, 2 heralds broken. Ect.
  15. I agree, i don't know how to reconcile the 9 thing. But I never thought that they weren't ancient. And never said they came after the desolations. This says that they came about as a result of the desolations, because each desolation started (or so my thinking goes) when another Herald broke under the torture.
  16. Ahh I just explained this. If it's based on the Heralds the superspren don't matter.
  17. Could mraize have breath, giving life sense of a sort?
  18. I wonder if that's because all such characters are more in the cognitive realm (like why Rock can see spren, due to his Parshendi ancestry)
  19. Ah. Ok. That works! I'm getting really excited about this theory. If I'm right, this is SO COOL
  20. I had been throwing that around in Discord. But I think it'll be an analogue to Taln. Which... idk what that would look like.
  21. Ok yeah he's odd now, because he's broken. But he didn't have the oddities of the Bondsmiths. He had an Honorblade! He would totally fight.
  22. Ok i made a thread on this theory.
  23. Ishar wasn't bonded to a spren. He was just another Herald. Now, the Bondsmiths are an odd order. But Ishar?
  24. We aren't addressing the order. We're addressing the HERALD.
  25. Ok. @Stark had this great idea. Essentially, as each Herald broke, ODIUM made an Unmade from it. This would support an idea that a 10th Unmade has been made, making this truly the final Desolation. Each of the Heralds have been broken. This would mean each of the Unmade have an Analogue, so speculate away. Ok to address a major point people have against the theory- The Bondsmiths are an odd order, yes. But Ishar wasn't, and he was the one who broke, the one the Unmade would have its analogue based on.
