  1. I disagree, as, a lot of the time as a Villager, I want to make a point known, but I don't necessarily want to cast suspicion directly onto a player that most people have a village read on, and assume is a Villager. It could be an elim tactic, but I read it much more as Stick not wanting to directly state that a main player is possibly an elim. If I was Survival I would not counterclaim. If everyone is focusing on Fake!Survival then Real!Survival is able to work out of the spotlight, and play behind shadows, where the fake one has the potential to take a fall, if needed or possible. Also, there is a chance that the real one would be attacked if he outed himself, as we would be split on who we trusted and he could end up dying; if I was the real Survival I would stay quiet. I prefer to push for a lynch rather than work towards Ambition, for now; as the lynch gives us more information. If we ever decide that we don't have someone to lynch then I would suggest that we lynch the Aspects.
  2. What type of advice do you want, specifically? How to be neutral? Or what?
  3. Huh, cool. Also, I didn't know there was a Mafiauniverese wiki, thanks for giving me that resource. I haven't been in one either :/
  4. What is pocket? Along side that, do not trust PM groups that are formed, always assume that there is at least one Eliminator in any group with more than 2 people in it, and, even if there are only 2 people, do not trust the person in the PM solely off of what they say in PM, and take into account what they have said in the thread as well. The AG had an example of a "Strong Village Reads" PM group that had 2 elims in it, I believe, so please be very, very, careful with PMs, and, if you are Cultivation, please be careful how you set them up and use them. Until we are proven otherwise, I would suggest that we treat all PMs as if they were created by an Elim Cultivation. Please, please, be careful with your actions, last game we (The Elim!17th) had a lot of fun with Dominion, and probably won the game due to the information we had as a faction, and the control that Dominion gave us. Controlling Dominion could be a major boon for the Elims (either group), as they are going to have more information than the standard player with Dominion. Devotion is a fairly scary Shard, and I'm not overly fond of the idea of the elims getting that, as they can just stop a lynch whenever they want to, Which can not only be used to protect a team mate, but also to create really scary IKYKs @Seonid if Both Devotion and Preservation target the same person with their Shardic Action, which goes through? Will Preservation prevent the person from being targeted? Or will Devotion receive the Preservation affect? I'd like to call out @shanerockes, as he has not been active, and I would love to see you come over and join us.
  5. So you are planning on taking up a position that is just helping everyone, then? Alright. that is fair.
  6. Cultivation: I don't feel that getting Cultivation in village hands is going to stop PM manipulation to the point that it will be useful for us to focus a lot of our actions on. Although, I do think it is decently important to try and prevent Odium from possibly killing it.
  7. The bolded part made me laugh But, I've just been busy, I could give you all a rundown of my past couple of days if you really want it, but I don't feel like that is the most useful use of my time. Reads: @TheYoungPyromancer: I have been reading you as playing very similar to how you played when you held Survival, and you also mentioned something about you being sick and this being almost all that you have to do. Considering both of these things, your playstyle reads the way I would expect a villager to do in much the same situation. If you are overly bored, and need something to do, I would suggest going through and do some analysis; or take a look at specific posts and take notes about what stands out to you, and then post them. It takes a lot of time, but can be very, very rewarding. Slight Village Read @Orlok Tsubodai You are playing as I expect you to play, and are being amazingly active and useful, for everyone in the thread. I find myself agreeing with most of your posts, and I am getting a fairly strong village read from you. Beyond that, you are posting enough that, if anyone becomes suspicious of you, we will have a lot of posts to look at with a new perspective. The only problem that I see is the above quote, which I disagree with. Although I agree that we should have a lynch, I do not believe that we should Lynch Jon over that, what he has said is plausible to see, and waiting will give us more of chance of hitting elims. Beyond that, I don't see an elim advocating for no day one lynch, unless their team mate is up for the lynch, which, even then, it would normally be better to just go after someone else and deflect suspicion (Especially if you can hit someone on the other Elim faction. So I disagree with lynching Jon. Slight Village Read (And, because I talked a decent bit about @Jondesu in this paragraph, Slight village read on Jon as well) Well, at least 6 people (if not more) did not end up with Investiture, due to the Shards they went after being taken. I, at least, fall into that category. So although worldhopping around would be useful for some of us, for a lot of us there is not that much use. The big problem I see with this is that if we start spreading out then all the elims need to do is stay here, and they should be able to almost have a monopoly on shards which is not something that I want to experience. I see this as a slightly off post, so Slight Elim Read Sart, As you are my largest elim read, currently.
  8. At this point, as long as the shard holder is village, the shard should be more useful to us. We only need to worry about them being converted to their win con later. I am really tries and the thread is confusing, I'll take a look at it with rested eyes tommorow, and hopefully be able to comment. Sorry for posting so little today.
  9. I am quite excited to mess around with the Shard mechanics as well, so I'll agree that I want to have fun with Shards. I'd be fine with the sudden death win con a bit later in the game, but I would prefer to have fun with the mechanics.
  10. I've been watching the thread, but I haven't had much to say so far. No great ideas, no reads on anyone, or anything much, currently. We haven't come up with much for what we should be talking about, and I am just generally slightly confused. I'm going to suggest that everyone starts doing reads, as they will be very useful for looking back at the game, and getting some initial impressions. I have something in 10 minutes so I won't be able to do any right now, but I will try to get some up before the cycle ends.
  11. @Seonid What is the rule for talking about things we learned last game based off of abilities that we had? Such as knowing Hoid Conversions/Survival's starting intent? Should we keep that type of info to ourselves or are we good to give it out? Called it!
  12. I don't see PMs being too useful this game, as, a lot of the time, the world docs will function as much the same purpose.
  13. Check out what Seonid Said nearish to the end of the cycle, there was a vote.
  14. No. They aren't. (I actually love them) So either you are thinking much further into this than I expected, or you are covering your tracks. Either way, I like it Ralar stood, at the height of his power. It was intense; for a moment he had been the most powerful being in the Cosmere, holding the Shard Feudal. It had contained Two astonishing powers; both Dominion and Endowment, fused together into something more, something amazing. The fusing of the two had been improper, though. Something about his own essence didn't perfectly mesh with the Two Shards, and the power seemed to pull him apart. The Intent was good, it felt right, but the power behind it did not like him. So, he had called in an old friend, and bestowed the shard of Dominion, the shard he had had for the longest amount of time, to a friend in return for a favour, and the chance to experience Endowment by itself. He had fun, experimenting with Endowment, in the wake of his victory over the Cosmere, but it was then that Hoid was cast out, sentenced to the far reaches of the Cosmere, and the dream of true Shardic power; not a shatter piece, or a greater ideal/intent than any of the 16, but something more, something Perfect, disappeared. The Shard of Endowment was forcibly ripped from him, barely leaving him alive, and sending him out into the Cosmere with an idea, and idea of finding the man who had first inspired him, finding the man who had the dream that they both shared; reforging Adonalsium, and bringing him back to power. Ralar, as a character, was converted by Hoid in LG29, and ended the game with both Dominion and Endowment (and we called the fused shard Feudal). After that, El asked for it from me, and used it for this amazing post (Seriously, go check it out). Due to Ralar's character being loyal to Hoid, I will be RPing him as someone still loyal to Hoid, and still having the dream of reforging Adonalsium, My RP is not indicative of my alignment, merely what I believe my character would due in this scenario @MonsterMetroid I changed because claiming to be Survival is practically guaranteed that you are Survival, at this point in the game, whereas putting ideas out there for who Survival might be is not nearly as effective for the Elims to figure out who they actually are. Beyond that; me suddenly switching could be seen as an example of my being Survival, which puts more doubt for the elims.
  15. This reads as slightly... too much. I feel almost as if you are Survival. This, combined with this: And the fact that... 8 out of your 12 posts so far have been explicitly about Survival. (You've had 12, but one of them was just RP, but also talked about survival, so that would be 9 out of 13) I feel almost as if you are trying a bit too hard to distance yourself from Survival. If you are Survival, then it shouldn't be too big of a problem, as you can't be converted, and you have an extra Shardic Protection life, as well as being able to gain an extra life each day turn. So you should be good if you have Survival, and I've outed you. If you don't have it... then that works well, as well, as the Elims might not convert you for fear of you having Survival, and hit the actual Survival. So, without you claiming (Please don't claim that you have it, at this point, only claim that you don't) we still leave the elims in a state of uncertainty, while giving the village a bit more information. Maybe this is the wrong call, outing a potential Survival, but, I think that it is pretty good. Feel free to yell at me about it if you disagree. Edit: Due to Pyro's edit, he now sits at 9/12 or 10/13 with RP included for posts about Survival.
  16. I can see a lot of potential reasons for people to kill someone holding a shard. Hoid/Kriss could aim for more power, hoping to get lucky. Odium may not be against the village, but I'm assuming that his intent will be, and if someone grabs it, there's a decent chance they'll want his win con (I'm looking at you @Steeldancer @TheYoungPyromancer)
  17. I'd say no, as: 1. It goes against Survival's potential win con 2. Could help Odium later on 3. Let's Elims know who not to convert
  18. Don't have much to say, as of yet, but I will be rereading the rules a lot and seeing if I can be better than Seonid at knowing them so that I can break the game by cheating the rules. Because we are talking about what actions we will be taking, I'll let everyone know that I am going after a piece of Cultivation's Investiture tonight. I am awaiting some GM clarification for some rules, to see if I can pull of any shenanigans with some PM's, My idea is that if the PM lasts indefinitely then we can create PMs with players, and continue to use them after they die. The dead player wouldn't be able to respond, but we can have a direct feed of info to them. If they ever become a Shade then we can still let them know our reads or info that we don't want the elims to know, so we can plan with a guaranteed village without the elims knowing what exactly we are planning. I am awaiting GM clarification for that, and if they say no then I will probably go after Ruin's investiture to attempt to get lucky and pull off a Roleblock on a conversion or a Shardic Barrier weakening.
  19. During the early game the Conversion functions as a faction kill, after that they should have enough members to have kills from somewhere. But yes, I see no kills.
  20. I'm so excited for this game. The game I've been the most excited for since LG29...
  21. Is there a minimum amount of players needed for this game to run smoothly? @Elenion
