  1. Thanks for the invite. Count me in. This seems like a fun game, I just won't be as active before Christmas as I will be after. I'll take suggestions on a name as well since I haven't read the source material yet.
  2. I'm going to throw my vote on Arinian. He has been very near the lynch a few times and saved by eliminators. He has felt more off to me than Brightness Radiant has. However, I look forward to your analysis @Ookla the Rae.
  3. I couldn't have said it any better. Signing up as Lamar
  4. Sorry ShaneysRus. I wish I had gotten on and set that vote to a wider margin. Manukos is the most suspicious in my book. I'll be going back through for more evidence.
  5. I see. I misunderstood Shaneys' post. Doc was killed by skaa. It's a fair point that 8 is a lot of eliminators for a game this size, but I'm still wondering about the handicap to the houses with more skaa than others. Although, now that I think about it, my house was one person smaller than the rest and so it would make sense if we started off with one fewer skaa... I'm not quite ready to hang my hat on that, but given your numbers there may be at least one other house that is already cleared.
  6. Holy wow! I am so sorry, guys. I voted to kill Lemon and assumed the game was over. I started focusing on finals instead and only just popped in to see any aftermath. So Doc was skaa? I'll go through the last few cycles and come up with something more solid than this, but it's hard to say anyone is cleared at this point with five already confirmed skaa. That, for me, looks like we are looking at 8 skaa because that would balance the four houses. I still don't feel that the favor mechanic would be balanced if some houses were required to kill two members and others only had to lose one member for the game to end. That, as well as the relatively low power of the skaa we've killed so far makes me pretty sure this is the case. Given that assumption, we have 6 nobles against 3 skaa alive. I hope it's Sami from my house, but I'll be checking anything I can on Brightness Radiant as well. Sorry for the scattered thoughts, I'll try to clean up and make a more concise post later
  7. That would be some next level manipulations if it was the eliminator team trying to throw Arinian under the bus. I don't think that is what happened, but it definitely would have worked. That being said, I am pretty sure the eliminators are Arinian for reasons already made clear and Lemonelon for staying just active enough to send in kills, but not having contributed to the favor on his team. Of the people we still have alive, We now know there are at least three rioters, one soother and one coinshot. That leaves nine other roles among us. We have lost so far: 2 Bronze, 1 Pewter, 1 Gold, 2 Aluminum, 1 Copper, 1 Tin, 2 Brass, 1 Atium and 3 nonmistings That suggests to me that we still have at least one Tineye and 1 more Pewter misting. That leaves seven more living roles I am not sure about. Sorry, I am coming up close to rollover and I'll have to get the rest of my thoughts down in a post for the next day.
  8. Coming clean, I have been a little more focused on the house war than most. I have a google sheet where I have been trying to track the points of each house to determine first who is in what house, and second, who is just trying to skate by and not worried about gaining favor. Sadly, none of the math has added up and I haven't gotten anywhere with it. What's more, all of that has become obsoleted now that the houses are in the open. I also haven't been willing to write any posts unless I was sure they would qualify for the 200 word limit for gaining favor for my house. For this reason I haven't posted very many times at all. You can go back and see that is the case. As far as my role I am a misting who used my powers to protect myself the last two nights because I thought it was more important for my house to have survivors (and I couldn't figure out a way to kill anyone using my role). Here are my reads: Adela - Brightness Radiant: The only truly active member of My house (until this last cycle), I am 90% sure she is clear. I'm sorry to hear she has been busy/ ill. The house doc has stagnated without her in it. Sami: The other survivor of my house and completely inactive in the doc. Sami spoke on some flavor of the game on day one and came back for one line on day two. We haven't heard from them since then. Darquez - ShaneysRus: As far as I can tell, completely ineffective since cycle one. They may have posted since, but nothing to provide favor for their house. (possibly the house one inactive skaa) Manukos: Manukos is in a similar boat to ShaneysRus. They have yet to earn any favor this game as far as I have been able to determine. Cassandra Bane - Rebecca: My gut read is bad, but I have no info to support that. Rebecca has been active enough to gain some favor for her house more recently than Shaneys or Manukos, but It still has been cycles since she has tried for favor. Lemonelon: Has yet to earn favor. Has been more active recently but is still not trying for favor. This is suspicious, because they have been active enough to get at least a little favor for their team. Rhiannon Aurette - Arraenae: I am leaning toward trusting Arrenae. I have felt like she is legitimately trying to help the village. The only item of suspicion against her is that we haven't found her house's skaa yet. Lady Noodlington - A Budgie: My gut on A Budgie is they are skaa, but I'm not willing to vote on them because we have found the skaa in that house. Jonas - LivingLegend: Has probably been playing this game wrong, but is a committed noble. Lopen: Has done too much for this village to not be noble. Unless he is a mole among the skaa, he has been key part of lynching the two skaa we have found so far. Young Bard: Inactive through and through. I don't think a skaa could afford to be this inactive. Doc: He's been to every ball as far as I can tell, and has RP'd there and in PM's quite a bit. I'm not particularly suspicious of him. Faron Elverein - Arinian: Arinian's logic has felt off to me, but he,like me, has been playing for his house's win condition ahead of finding skaa. I have not really found anything he has done specifically suspicious; however, If he was the coinshot that killed Phattemer, removing him will end the eliminator kill. Given all this, I will vote for Arinian. If Arinian is the coinshot skaa, I'm fairly certain Lemonelon is the last skaa. He didn't really show up in the game until last cycle and I think it's because he's been busy with an eliminator doc. However, with the skaa so low on numbers, he can't afford to be inactive killed. Hence, he still hasn't posted anything to gain his house favor, but has posted just enough to not be considered truly inactive. Ninja'd by Lemonelon
  9. That is a solid point. I feel like I need to join the bandwagon just in case I'm wrong and miss out on favor for my house, but if you are in the same house as Asterion, I highly doubt you're a skaa. I'll put my vote on Roadwalker for now. I'll do my best to look further into other's voting patterns, but if we are down to just a couple of inactive skaa, I really think it's time we use the built in houses to hunt down the skaa.
  10. Okay, Here are my reasons for voting for Asterion. 1 The day one vote mess: This has been gone over in great detail already and I'm not sure what I can reveal here that hasn't been said. The majority of Asterion's vote choices seem to be trying to protect Drake. Being completely open, that was my reason for voting inactives as well. Drake was a member of my house and I didn't want my house to be the first to lose a member, much less an active one. I'm not sure why Asterion was as keen to keep him alive since they are not in my house. Asterion finally gave up and voted for Drake when it seemed he was a lost cause. 2 I'll admit this may second reason may just be Asterion's play style and if it is, I apologize, but Asterion hasn't really posted very much helpful analysis. I'll admit that today Asterion's post on why he was voting for Megasif at least had some content, but the reasons felt half-hearted to me, and most of the reasons he gave (such as "posting just enough to fly under the radar") apply just as much if not more to Asterions posts this game. Again, that just might be your normal style and if it is we can discount this reason. 3 I feel like Asterion's defenses (again until today) have not had any substance. The reasons he gives for not lynching him are more deflections than defenses. 4 For these reasons I feel Asterion is more suspicious than megasif and I would rather lynch someone I have legitimate suspicion for than someone who I don't have really very much read on yet. I also would like to prevent a tie here so I'm counting on Asterion being a skaa and I would invite those voting for Megasif to move your votes over so you can gain house favor.
  11. I have been feeling the same. I disagree that we aren't getting anywere. I am pretty sure that Asterion is an eliminator and we have a few other healthy suspicions. However, if we were to run out of options or suspicions, I feel that it would make sense to reveal houses. This would supply groupings of people that should include eliminators. I feel that this is a tool that was meant for finding skaa that we aren't using. I understand this argument carries less weight if I'm wrong about each house having one eliminator; however, I'm sure that even if the skaa aren't in every house, they have the information of who is in each house. If they are in only three, they know by default who is in the fourth. I don't think it would be balanced to put skaa in two houses because that would essentially make it impossible for those two houses to win. Therefore, I think the only mostly uncompromised doc is house four. I’ll put my vote on Asterion for mostly reasons that have been said before. I want to get my vote in now, and if I have time time I’ll go into more detail. ----------------------------------------------------------- Jonas watched the obligator leave. A skaa rebel found in his own house, it was unbelievable. That was why he went directly to his guardhouse the night the first skaa was revealed. This was their responsibility. He would have to have his guards executed and replaced. Working under the Lord Ruler was demanding and he could not risk the guards letting another skaa get through. Jonas had been aware of the skaa infiltrating houses before most nobles. He was tasked with eliminating them starting with a thorough search of his own house. Obviously, Jonas hadn't been thorough enough. What was more embarrassing was he was not the one to discover the man. Fittingly, the poser was executed. Jonas would not be so careless again. He would be the one to kill the next skaa. The obligator disappeared out of the front gate and Jonas visibly relaxed. He allowed his shoulders to slump for only a second. Obligators were intense. It was very fortunate an inquisitor had not been sent, but even so… “The Lord Ruler does not tolerate failure.” the obligator had said. Jonas turned on his heel and strode into the keep. He had work to do and not a lot of time to do it.
  12. I'm sorry for my inactivity the last few days, I had expected to have access to a computer over the holiday and didn't. I'll be back with whatever information I can come up with shortly
  13. Removing vote from Straw. Voting for Crimsn Wolf.
  14. Jonas hated the mists. Of course, Jonas hated a lot of things. That included several noble houses, skaa in general, the color of the sky, and bread pudding. Unfortunately, he was driven out into the settling mists on an errand. “The skaa population is too high right now to be any good anyway.” He thought as he stalked through the ash. “Clearly the laziness of the other noble houses has finally caught up to them.” Jonas scowled at the thought of a Skaa being so bold as to think they could get away with joining nobles. They were certainly not beaten enough as children. Jonas would make sure his Skaa did not miss that correct upbringing. Jonas had not heard what happened to the skaa who was found masquerading, but it was not handled well enough! There should have been a very public whipping and execution to teach the skaa where their place was. Skaa needed to be cultivated with care. Treated with purpose. They must know their place and have reason to stay there. They were born to serve and then be culled as a crop to show just how little their lives matter. Jonas would not allow his skaa to even get a glint of hope. Undoubtedly, the word had gotten even to these lowest of creatures. Jonas himself had been in his study working at the time a relative rushed in with the news. An infiltrated house was news indeed. This would not be acceptable for a house of his standing. And so, he trudged through the ash to make sure whatever happened, it would not hinder his house’s plans. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After reading through the thread a few times, the general consensus seems to be that we need to lynch someone, but we don't have enough information on whom. I tend to agree that some information is better than none and for that reason (and the off chance that I catch an inactive skaa and gain some favor), I am going to vote on CloudJumper until they post. Also on the list of people we have yet to hear from are Straw, ShaneysRus, Asterion137, Rebecca, and Young Bard. In addition, Shqueeves has only posted one word which means he has seen the thread, but not shared his/her thoughts. It’s less believable that they are afk. I am a little suspicious of TheMightyLopen. His post feels like he is trying to look helpful without actually being super helpful. He also fell into what Phattemer suggested was a tell for Skaa by not voting. Having said this, he is also one of only nine players to post any analysis out of the twenty-seven players and I’d prefer to keep him around just for activity’s sake. I have a detailed summary of all posts so far that I had planned to post, but I wanted to figure out how to do a spoiler first so people who already have their own version can skip mine. I also have a running list of who has posted and how much that I will refine and maybe post in a separate spoiler.
  15. This sounds hectic! Count me in. Jonas of house-tbd was not at the announcement of the infiltrated house. He was much too busy to go to the meetings of the houses. He was working too hard on a project that he assured everyone else was a personal request of the Lord Ruler himself. Whether that is true remains to be seen.
  16. This sounds like a lot of fun. I've been wanting to get back into these games and this looks like the opportunity. voting for Wyrmhero
  17. So sorry guys, I thought I'd have more time for this game. For now I will cheer Bard because it sounds like you all have something figured out. I won't have enough time to go back through and analyze all the previous threads, so I will do my best to start where we are.
  18. Can I ask How many people have completed all their win cons?
  19. Sorry everyone, I've had some RL things come up. That and trying to finish Golden Son has taken most of my time. I'm desperately trying to catch up on the thread, but it's difficult wading through all the RP. I hope to catch up and RP later tonight, but it might not be until next cycle. From what I can tell with a brief overview was we killed Bugsy for outing a plan that would have been better in secret, now we're lynching Wonko for claiming to be a Julii? I should be better informed later. For right now, I have no merit, so here's some RP. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rylos Trudged up the steps to Tiberius' manor. His ship had been delayed by a systems malfunction as he traveled to Mars from Luna. He had returned to Luna to find the ship had not been properly checked pre-flight. The blues responsible for making sure the ship was ready were promptly executed and replaced along with a few oranges who had the audacity to suggest mercy. Rylos was a builder. He liked everything to be in its place. If there was one thing he had learned from being a lieutenant to his Primus in the institute, it was building upon a strong foundation. When the foundation is flawed, the building will crumble. Allowing lower colors on his ship who shirked responsibility was as good as allowing termites to weave holes until the entire house was destroyed. That was why Rylos was proud to be on his way to swear himself to Tiberius. Tiberius was a man of vision. Any man would be lucky to grow under his tutelage and become one of his lancers. Now thanks to those slothful blues, Rylos was arriving very late to Tiberius' ceremony. One of the things Rylos admired in Tiberius was his attention to timing. Now, however, it could prove Rylos' downfall. He could not plead for mercy or understanding. That would show weakness in both Rylos and his master. Instead, Rylos would offer no excuses. He would only go before his lord and swear the oath. Hoping Tiberius would accept it. He paused before entering the grand building. Steeling himself for any eventuality. What would become of him if he was rejected? "No time for that now!" he scolded himself. He entered.
