  1. I'm for it, though how would we get it to her? We'd need an adress for that. Or do we write it here and silverblade print them out? That might be a lot of paper...
  2. Just read this: After reading this post you will not recognize that THE THE brain doesn’t recognize the second ‘THE’. Just noticed it. Almost didn't though, great job!
  3. I walk through the crowded streets, the colors and sounds nearly overwhelming me after years spent on roshar in the kings court. I had learned how to blend in among the nobility, no one had questioned my apparent lack of history after the first few months, but how did one hide in this mess of people? Then I remembered I had a job to do. I began to burn bronze, the long-since familiar metal giving me no small amount of comfort. I noticed an allomantic pulse coming from the center of the crowd and immediately tears began to form. The pulses were home they were... I shoved down the emotions and headed toward the man. This whole city vibrated to my bronze sense, a fact I planned on keeping to myself, just like the storm-light I could feel shredding through my senses. If someone found out I could sense things like that, more people would be taken from home. So I kept quiet about it. I wonder what made this city so special as to be the capitol of a nation, other than the lack of normalcy. I approach the soother and, with a flourish of my right hand, bow, swiping his knife with my left hand as I did so. Better to have a disarmed stranger than an armed one. "How are you good sir?" I asked in my rusty scadrian. Rusts, it was only three years! How could ones accent be that heavily affected after only three years! I continued to smile as I straitened from the bow. "A soother I asume, and oddly dressed one at that. Do you know why we're here?" I stare at him appraisingly, searching for anything suspicious and only finding his bracers. A feruchemist as well then. I grew excited.
  4. Just found it, here's the link for future reference. I'll post soon. The link
  5. Okay, granted. The bane is that you cannot stop playing them for any reason. Even to go to the bathroom or die. Not even for food or water. Enjoy your games! I wish for the ability to enter alternate realities with skill, precision, and ease.
  6. That'd be spectacular, in my opinion, though @Okdes has to okay it. If he does, how many breaths does he have?
  7. @Silverblade5, I agree with twi. Just keep talking to her, let her know how you feel. Tell her that, no matter how dark the world gets, no matter how terrible thing appear, YOU, at least, don't see her as a demon, you don't see her as worthless. Tell her that she's simply a diamond among the rocks. Sure she's a little rough right now, sure she's a little dirty; but if she keeps going, she will clean and polish herself with every passing day, and soon... soon she'll glow brighter than any diamond has ever shone before. Remind her that, YOU, care for her, and that your care proves that she has worth, enough worth to make you love her, whether as a friend, or something else. Remind her that: She. Has. Worth.
  8. Thank you, I'll try it out. I really appreciate it.
  9. Impressive writing, especially since no human has ever done something like that. We're all getting rather good at turning what we imagine into a fictional reality express in a way that allows others to read it. I expect that's a good thing.
  10. I wish I could cry, but my family has been military folk for generations, and before that, they were royal folk and had to control their emotions anyway. I physically have trouble crying. I once tried to cry for an entire day. It didn't work. I sometimes worry that crying is something that has been almost bred out of my family. I haven't shed a tear, before my recent two bouts, since I was seven. That's almost eight years now. Any suggestions on how to get the tears flowing?
  11. We're reading Elie Wiesel's 'Night' in class. I have an extreme ability to empathize with almost anyone. I mean anyone. I recently cried my eyes out, nearly hyperventilated myself to unconsciousness, all because my religion teaches that Satan is beyond saving. My overactive imagination did not help. Especially when we watched the documentary. Oh harmony, I could almost hear the screaming and crying, almost feel what it was like to be suffocated, burned, beaten and... needless to say, I've been having trouble sleeping. Any advice you can offer? I really need to cry. I wish it were easier than my family finds it to be.
  12. Other than the reckoners, does anyone really have a reason to take down Salem? I mean, it's fairly stable, definitely popular, and the epics that enjoy the place would gladly help defend it (I think...). I just don't see how Salem will go down easy. My Maer, Voidus, Twi, Quiver, Edge, and everyone who's posted on the WHIO thread, congrats on creating three: hard to break, insanely crazy, nightmarishly complex, super-villain infested cities. And good luck taking down your creations. I think we'll all need it.
  13. I just realized. The RP's have no end goal. They won't ever end! It will just keep progressing further and further along the plot-line, changing as it wants/needs. Does anyone have any clue what ANY of the RP's goals are? I don't think Salem has one. Portland, I believe, will finish once one of the factions win, or something. And then there's Corvallis. It's the only Oregon RP I haven't completely read through, so... any thoughts on this astonishing revelation? P.S. Welcome back @RippleGylf, good to see you again.
  14. Either they forgot about it, or they have some other reason. Maybe they want to see what happens at five thousand or more posts?
  15. The nightwatcher looks at you with tears eyes. "I grant your wish, oh god of your cosmos." The world then dissolves as all literature equal to or better than your own writing, disappear, leaving yours, the most advanced and worthy writing your ideas can deserve. I wish I was a genie without need of a lamp.
  16. Soul caster is a fairly unique epic, and besides, where was lady deathskull from? And the fact that he can die without dying and in doing so practice some moves that would almost definitely kill someone unless done perfectly? Also, people can still text other people with mobiles. Since the technology exists, surely someone has a communication link between Greece and America, even if it's just two vanillas who miss each other. That would probably end in someone leaking said information, not to mention all the epics who will worry that an even more powerful epic might come from across the sea. Why on earth do none of the epics fear that? I mean, the powerful ones like Steelheart make sense, but what about the lesser epics that rule lesser cities? Why don't they fear each other? It doesn't make much sense to me, unless...hmmm...
  17. I'm surprised it took this long for the second person to notice actually. How did you figure it out?
  18. A beautiful, rainbow hued, nine and three quarters dimensional, impressively well designed kaleidoscope, and one that just so happens to hold the personality and (in my opinion) soul of someone whome I consider a friend and whose writing I admire. Anyone else agree with this statement? I do whole heartedly.
  19. Well, it goes without saying that, if you can build a metropolis that floats over the Mediterranean Sea and can move like a ship at any time, you can build something to get to America. Right?
  20. I've gotten pm'd from dream, and apparently that floating city is in Greece over the Mediterranean. Same with his other epics. Does that work? Apparently he flew to Salem to get fighting practice.
  21. Naw, it's just your imagination! Granted, though you are now absolutely, completely terrified of... breathing. I wish for a well-thought-out bane. Kinda like the last one I got.
  22. Who said I had to state it verbally? I'll just think louder than normally around them. Granted, you have the third heightening, and I'll even make it so that everyone will be born with breathe ripe for the taking. Your bane is that you can now astrally project your soul, and you always do this when asleep. Good luck finding your body again, also, this gift is genetic, so your children will/do/can have it too. I wish I could create investiture and worldhop to and throughout, the Cosmere and back.
  23. Night @bleeder, enjoy your minds resting fantasies!
  24. Granted, you have your wish. "Your bane," she says, grinning cruelty, "is............" she get diststracted by a voidbringer and forgets to tell you your bane, leaving you to worry about what it could be for the rest of your life. You also mysteriously become severely allergic to all desserts, candies, and sweets, though you can't connect that and your bane in your head. I wish for the power to give anyone I know any power or ability I can imagine, so long as I am touching them and I state that they have the ability.
