I call smear tactic because I know SD's PM habits, since I'm actually on his PM list. If he didn't deny having a PM with me while I was under suspicion, he wouldn't deny having a PM with Kipper when he was under suspicion. There are 2 probable situations: either Kipper's trying to smear SD, or they're both in a doc and SD doesn't want to admit that they've been communicating. Either way, Kipper's an elim. However, if Kipper somehow turns out village, SD's up for my vote next Day cycle.

I'm not sure where you're getting this from; at the time you logged on there were 2 on SD. Eol. Kipper. Suddenly SD is up to 4 votes from what appears to be little more than a Kipper smear tactic. I'm not liking the look of this.

That itself is lynching material. This I find strange for Kipper to do; he told Maill during the farewell posts that he had been using Maill's strategy for draining players of information. Slip-up> He couldn't have saved me because I was never in much danger due to my Duke vote. If I was allowed to quote our PM I could actually quote a post where I jokingly accused him of messing up my plans for dramatic lynch intervention. But yes, there is a chance that I've been played. However, I think there's a higher chance that he's Village.

He didn't get an ally from saving me from the lynch because I was going to rig the supposed-to-be-tied result with my Duke vote. He got an ally because he stood up for me the next turns, at a time when if he was an elim he could have checked a doc, seen that I wasn't on his team, and sent me off to the gallows. If he was looking for a village ally, he sure got one. If you point out the logic you claim is flawed then I'm happy to cite its evidence. As for misdirection, I haven't used any since D1 when I claimed Pirate to Bard and Lopen when I thought they were elims.

It's not; I kept it free because I am going to switch my vote to Kipper after I hear an argument from you. Kipper is much more suspicious right now.

I want to hear @Kipper's account of the PM with SD before I decide who it is, but one of Kipper and SD is lying, and I want to kill whoever that is. At this point the village needs transparency, seeing as the Jeskeri probably know what we all are anyway (with the possible exception of Phil the Philosopher). Your advocacy of lynching Aman is tactically sound, but only for you. We really don't need another dead villager.

Well, it looks like I got ninja'd by Sart saying a similar thing, but... I find it interesting that the Philosopher (I'll call him/her Phil) didn't make a kill last night. Either it was blocked, Phil is inactive, or they didn't want to give us any more info on who Phil couldn't be. Since no one claimed a second block on Aman and the third option is unlikely, I conclude that the Philosopher was inactive. Looking through our list of suspects, players that I can't remember doing anything much yesterday include Alvron, Aonar, Conq, Eol, Kipper, and Bard. I'll discount Alv and Conq from the list because they're hard-cleared Pirate, leaving Aonar (claimed bodyguard), Eol (unclaimed), Kipper (unclaimed), and Bard (unclaimed). Aonar isn't my primary choice to lynch because if he is really a bodyguard we don't want to kill him. But if he isn't, he's working with Aman. This leaves Eol, Kipper, and Bard as my prime targets for being Phil (additionally, these players' lack of a claimed role makes me think they could also be Jeskeris). Since Kipper's already accumulated a couple of votes, I'll vote Eol and let Bard sit.

While we were waiting for turnover I expressed in thread that I thought SD was the most likely target for the Philosopher. I think it's because we were getting suspicious of the Philosopher, and so he/she didn't want to exacerbate those suspicions.

To pass the time, why don't we all speculate on who the Philosopher will kill next? I'll start: I think he/she will kill SD, because SD hasn't been active recently but has roleclaimed, so killing him won't reveal anything that might help us.

Elenion recited the oath, grinning just slightly when he realized that he'd already drawn his last breath. Being little more than a ghost was humorous like that.

I specified "claimed Chay-Shan" to account for the possibility of a false role. And I can also see a scenario where you are both village and paranoid of the other, sort of like me vs El in MR15.

I also find it interesting that Aman claims Lopen is a Jeskeri but yet accuses Lopen of being unable to kill him, despite Lopen being a claimed Chay-Shan. I don't find it suspicious enough to kill based off of, but that's something I'll definitely keep in mind. Also, between Aman and Lopen (two strong village reads for me) I have to say that Lopen's argument sounds more village-like right now.

I attribute it to these characters' backgrounds: most Sanderson characters don't grow up in ideal circumstances and spend their time dodging Investiture instead of doing their hair.
