That was for my QF30, and you are right about that one. The problem with allowing the dead players to talk to living ones is that then they can't collaborate with other dead players in a Dead Doc, as is usual with SE. Other than that it wouldn't be too different from a reviver mechanic.

Khazad finally worked up the courage to leave the wall (and thus leave his back exposed), although by the time he did so about five minutes had passed. The bustle of the people, the background chatter, the numerous objects entering and leaving Khazad's view: an assassin could be anywhere, anytime, with anything, and Khazad would not know about it. That was not a good thought. Suspicious object, right side, four tables down and one over. "What?" Rotting bird! "Rotting bird? I knew you were paranoid and a bit crazy, but I didn't know I'd snapped!" But then Khazad saw the bird in question. He did a double-take. He did another one when he realized that the bird was about to end up on Lumina's back. Lumina's not going to like that at all. "I'm with you. Better to get over there before someone gets killed." But hey, that's one fewer person to stab you in the back, right? Khazad took off at his usual brisk pace, but hindered by the crowds he wasn't sure if he would make it in time. El, you can decide if Khazad arrives in time to interfere.

Kill you? I wouldn't do that. I'd just hand you Nightblood and watch.

Khazad surveyed the room, exhausted but still paranoid. The meeting had taken most of the afternoon, much of which Khazad had spent sitting silently. That was the problem with talking to people with real power: if you didn't have power too, they were above you. And the general and his advisors weren't the type to talk to newcomers. That one over there. He looks suspicious. "Which one?" Khazad mumbled to himself, "They all look suspicious." That's right. Any one of them could knife you in the back, if you don't do it to yourself first. That last part was a mocking gesture to an unfortunate accident that Khazad had had five minutes previously. While heading towards the banquet at his usual breakneck pace, he had hit a door (thankfully not Lumina's) and been knocked sprawling on the ground. His backup knife, the one that he kept hidden in his shoe, had flipped open as he fell. Khazad came to rest staring at the small blade, which lay only a couple of inches from where his face had hit the ground. Khazad was jolted out of his memory upon seeing Spartacus in the hall. Khazad was considering joining him where he was standing when his sixth sense butted into his mental monologue. I still don't trust that one. You haven't known him for long enough. Khazad relaxed, leaning back to his original position standing against the wall. He had fewer blind spots that way.

No cookies, no chouta. The health inspector would not approve of the 'contents' of either.

A door opened in Khazad's path, swinging out into the hallway and nearly braining him. His hand again went to his sword, but he suppressed the reflex before he could draw it. Out of the door appeared a face: Lumina's. She didn't say anything, as usual, but gave Khazad a glare that would have melted an ice cap. Oh, it's her! Are you going to let her beat you again? Khazad did not reply but rather focused on not crashing into Lumina's door. He succeeded, barely. Lumina's glare intensified. Last time she did that was after you tried to... Khazad ignored the rest of what the voice said and instead continued his dash down the hall. He didn't want to be more than ten minutes late, after all.

Anticipated Orders (Orders you are interested in)
Elenion replied to Xaklys's topic in Stormlight Archive
I want to see more of the Skybreakers and Dustbringers. The Skybreakers because I want to see what non-vigilante Skybreakers do (if there even are non-vigilantes), and I want to see the Dustbringers' stereotype drive a side plot. Also, I'm dying to see the Surge of Division in action.- 26 replies

I think that there's a chance that Kaladin will never use Plate: we've seen Szeth defeat men in plate without carrying Plate himself. But I know that if I was Kaladin, I'd definitely opt for Plate.

The obsession with the stick is rather amusing but occasionally overkill, but I think that the Lopen obsession bugs me more.

Never thought of it that way before, but that's actually really accurate. Upvoted!

For me it's Kelsier, no question. Of all of the Sanderson characters I've read, he's the one that has resonated the most with me. (HoA Spoilers but not SH)

I think this thread wouldn't be complete without @little wilson creating a memorial for Cuddles.

I'll correct Secrets' numbers in my post for continuity. Hurt First of the Sun, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun--7 4. Nalthis--6 5. Roshar--13 6. Scadrial--11 7. Sel--6 8. Taldain--7 9. Threnody--6

For me it was Kelsier in Mistborn. Kaladin fills the gap a little, but I still haven't connected with him in that same way.

I too have a bit of a dislike for Renarin's character at the moment. (WoR spoilers)

I think that pewter-dragging is a technique that anyone with pewter could use, but to do it for extended durations and distances would require practice. That would mean that all savants can pewter-drag, but not all pewter-draggers are savants.
