I put this in my first post: my afternoon nap turned into an evening nap, and I slept right through turnover. Had I gotten on in time I would have voted for Rae to win.

That, plus it turns out that First has more firepower than Roshar anyway, so... Hurt Scadrial, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 20 5. Roshar - 16 6. Scadrial - 19

From now on, I will be upvoting posts that vote the same as mine. Just another incentive to vote Vasher! Tally: Vasher 3, Marsh 3
-
In my first post on page 2 I started an RP with your character. You must have missed it. Good to know. My voting logic keeps going in circles: are Stick and Sheep elims because they voted along with Wonko? Are Bard and Jondesu elims because they didn't vote on Bugsy? Are the non-voters elims because they did not take sides? I've got nothing.

Because it appears that the lynch is actually happening after all, Elbereth. RP: Khazad leaned back in his seat in the War Room. Around him, accusations and debates flew like maelstroms, but for the most part Khazad had tried to stay out of the worst of it. Cheer who the majority cheered for, suspect who the majority suspected, listen to whom the majority listened to. You should probably get more involved in the action. "Put my neck out there to get chopped in half? No thanks." Better to try to help than sit there at night waiting for an assassin to show up. "Better to be killed while sleeping than while speaking." Better to stay alive. "Fair point." I think that in all of the Elim!Wonko chaos we forgot to analyze the lynch on Bugsy (except for @Doctor12; kudos to him). With Bugsy's lynch being far from a last-minute decision, I think that the elims would have jumped on the bus-wagon in order to avoid suspicion. Clear evidence of this is Wonko. Assuming that Wonko instructed his Forsworn contacts to vote with him, chances are that there is at least one other Forsworn who voted on Bugsy. I don't have a read on who, yet, but if there are others who share my suspicions I may look into that more.

Very well. Hurt Scadrial (gasp!), heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 19 5. Roshar - 17 6. Scadrial - 19

I don't know where the strawman fallacy happened, but I can guarantee that it happened. I have neither claimed to be cleared nor been actually cleared. Where did you get this? Not sure where I said this either, but it sounds like a good plan.

I'm going to have to go with Vasher. (Warbreaker (MAJOR ENDING SPOILERS) and Mistborn 1-3 ending spoilers)

*Eyebrow raises so high that it shoots off of head* Sorry, but I'll have to pass on this one due to time constraints. I'm already having trouble getting onto Aman's game.

With Wonko a confirmed Forsworn, I too think that the best option is to use an IonBlade on him. We have to kill Wonko so he doesn't steal any of our IonBlades back. Either we have to lynch him or kill him, and I personally would rather we have as few vigilante kills going on as possible. That said, I'm not cheering this cycle, since I don't want the duel to happen. What we need now is a new target for the lynch. I hate to propose mayoring, but seeing as Wonko got an IonBlade, and El and Doc have both been more active than him, I'd trust any lynch target that El or Doc provide. @Dankness Ascendant Sorry for the delay. Khazad wandered into the War Room late, as usual. The death of the Forsworn lancer had left an empty seat at the table, and to avoid disturbing his usual neighbors he sat at the empty seat. I say, is that Pierce? Khazad looked across the table, and it indeed was his old friend. "Hey Pierce, I haven't seen you in weeks. When did you get here?" Pierce looked at Khazad incredulously, positively exuding disapproval in Khazad's skill at observing. He had probably been here all this time, but Khazad had just never noticed. Lateness and haste do that to a guy. Khazad looked awkwardly away, but accidentally made eye contact with Lumina. That was a mistake. Khazad had only done that three times before, one of which had led to a very one-sided duel indeed. Khazad did not wish to repeat that experience.

Grrr... what is it with you First supporters? @I_am_a_Stick could we strike a temporary truce with Scadrial? Hurt First, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 19 5. Roshar - 16 6. Scadrial - 20

I apologize for missing turnover; my afternoon nap stretched into an evening nap. Okay, now that was too easy. Putting myself inside the eliminators' heads, one of three things must have happened: The elims thought that Bugsy had dug himself too deep with both the pathos use and the Doc plan reveal, and so they thought saving him wouldn't have been worth the suspicion. The corollaries to this plan are that the elims have players to spare, that the elims are decently-well coordinated, and that the elims are attempting to use the lynch to soft-clear themselves. The elims weren't coordinated enough to stop the lynch, so they went with it as a way of getting more cleared. This one also means that the elims are trying to clear themselves with the lynch, but implies that their PM system is inefficient. The final one is a bit more out there: they thought that Bugsy was a Rath. Bellona would be a great cover for a Rath, especially if said Bellona doesn't post enough to trigger their bonus. Bugsy claimed Bellona to the other elims, the elims got suspicious that he was lying and really a Rath, and so Bugsy gets bussed just to make sure. Of the three above, I think that the top one is the most likely, the second is decently-likely, and the third is unlikely but possible.

However, that means that in a 1v1 FotS would have a higher chance of success. Hurt FotS, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 17 5. Roshar - 21 6. Scadrial - 17

I'll go Elend. Mostly because I liked Mistborn much better than White Sand.

They're Ruined. Literally. Have an upvote on your first post.

Hello Avery! Have an upvote and another warning about suspect baked goods. They'll Ruin your life. What's your favorite of Sanderson's books? I've read SA, Mistborn 1-3, Warbreaker, and Elantris.

^^This is not to mention the metallic aftertaste. Trust me, the baked goods here are less than safe. Some have... side effects.

Stop. Roshar time. Hurt First, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 19 5. Roshar - 27 6. Scadrial - 19

This cannot be allowed to come to pass. Hurt First of the Sun, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 10 5. Roshar - 25 6. Scadrial - 20

I don't think that would be a thing, because the rules say I assume that the Forsworn could just relay messages up and down the PM-chain until they found out who everyone was that was in it, without ever needing to use any Merit to do so. Then one of the Forsworn could use their starting merit to start up a group PM that would act just like a doc. I do, however, have a slight elim read on Bugsy, but not from his maneuvering to get Doc's plan. What made me pause is what Bugsy says right here: This use of pathos is what my read is based on. Call me paranoid for it, but the last time that somebody used something like this on me was Aman, in an LG24 PM. I fell for it and Stink and I got him off of the hook. He turned out to be an elim. While this is anything but definite proof that Bugsy's an elim, it does tip my read slightly in that direction. So while I'm not suspicious enough of Bugsy to advocate killing him based on my read, I trust Rae far more than him, and if this turns out to be the duel getting the most cheers then you can count on my cheer going for Rae.

If Sanderson Characters were Pokémon Trainers...
Elenion replied to Quadrophenia's topic in Entertainment Discussion
It takes some sort of special access to do it. Let me go check for who mods this subforum. Edit: I'm unsure who the local mod is, but I know that @Eerongal should be able to switch it over into Entertainment.- 49 replies

Ummm... whatever happened to First of the Sun being almost dead? Oh well, that can be remedied. Hurt First, heal Roshar 3. First of the Sun - 115. Roshar - 256. Scadrial - 19

Khazad dodged between chatting knights and impeding tables as he tried to reach Lumina before the rotting bird did. Midway, he was swallowed in Sanis' mob of unwilling partners in conversation. Breaking through the other side of the herd, Khazad dodged and weaved his way closer... closer... Lumina spun, sword suddenly unsheathed and tip arcing toward Khazad's chest. Dive, you fool! Khazad dived to the side as the blade swept above him, instead impaling the rotting bird in the center of its decaying chest. Khazad landed awkwardly, rolled under a table by his momentum. Surprisingly, no one seemed to notice his less-than-grateful fall, even when his head hit a table leg with a loud thud. Oi! Watch yourself there! I'm in this head too! Khazad shook his head to clear it and rolled back from under the table. In the disturbance, he again went unnoticed as he dusted himself off, walked away, and leaned back against his customary wall.
