  1. I don't think the idea here is to make 'The Next Skyrim'. We just want to make a 3d action game set on Roshar. I have some ideas, how about instead of being open world. It plays something like God of War. Except with lashings and shard blades. Still, I think however it turns out it will be a fun project to work on.
  2. I would like to say I would LOVE to help out with writing the story and building the world. Such as, will the player have a choice as to who they be (Example: Assassin's Creed Syndicate.) Or would the game change the view depending on who is most important. Oh and BTW what audience are you thinking of for this game, I know it's an adult book but I'm only 13 and my friends and I absolutely LOVED it, (It's much tamer than Mistborn 2) EDIT: realised my status is now BRIDGEMAN. Bridge Four!
  3. This might be a bit late, but I would LOVE to help out with writing the story for the world, and building the setting, as in. Do you want the game to be set in the period of the books. Or as in like before the Recreance, where you play as a new Radiant, however this would mean you need to limit the orders to choose from.
  4. This actually sounds pretty cool. Also, nice to hear you've read Stormlight. I've met a lot of full-blown Mistborn fans who haven't read anything else other then perhaps Elantris.
  5. Oh yeah, I'll make it so that people do get hurt. But using the metal echolon they can dampen it down a bit. However this cannot be used in battle as it takes a huge ring of the material around the area.
  6. Sorry for inactivity I have been on holiday. Also, I really like your idea and will molding that into my story.
  7. It's similar to the other magic. They have crystals poking out of them which they store Elemental energy in. Releasing it in short but powerful bursts.
  8. Oh by the way. Do you think you could help me with the Ivumel magic? I'm really stuck
  9. Thanks, just one question, what would you use the separating rune for? BTW there is only one Exos Key.
  10. I really like fantasy Swords and Sorcery and Historical, books like what would Julius Caesar do if he was not killed?
  11. Ok here we go. This is just a little thing I've been thinking of, I might turn it into something. Idk In this fantasy world, magic is a substance, like a liquid. There are two 'classes' of mages. One uses magic to power their devices, think carts, or armour (I know total Shardplate ripoff). They also use it to enhance physical attributes, such as speed, strength, agility and many more, creating magic items with the energy. Certain requirements have to be met though. For the magic to be potent enough it must be heated to the right temperature. (857 degrees Celsius) Must be kept in a certain container, and must have specific ingredients added, depending on what it is going to be used for. The others ingest the magic, taking the energy into their veins. These people do not need specific requirements to be met, but they cannot keep as much stored in them. They can use it for basic energy attacks such as a blast (Think Kamehameha) or other things, like providing cover for a city under siege, or cloaking assassins and thieves. The origin of the magic is this. The gods once walked Earth, until one day something changed. The gods were melted into the magical energy. called Arcanum and humans found uses for it.
  12. Update: Tim loses the fight against Kai, and Leo is initially guarded towards Tim, until he realises that Tim's ancestors enrolled there.
  13. Thank you sooooooo much. I'm improving on everything you and Darkness said and should have the edited version up in about a week. I did realise that Tim didn't care that much about his master dying and am changing that right now. As for the everything being too easy, that is going to change in the course of the book, a boy almost breaks his legs and someone sends an assassin (The bully's family, as the boy, Vincent was expelled from the school) Also this is also only the first 3 chapters, so I'm not adding conflict in to them right now. The conversation between him and Kai is being updated now, and the fact with the ice magic is going to be explained. Basically I'm going to make it so that when Tim was about 3 or 4 one day something bad happened with fire (probably a loved one's death, his parents are not dead, they just sent him to their family friend for training) which would subconsciously make him want to repel fire. I possibly might even make Kai become his enemy.
  14. Here is the 1st 3 chapters of the book Phew, that was a wall of text. All critique is greatly appreciated.
  15. Update: you can no longer dissipate the Soul Key, it must be broken but it still causes pain to the user
  16. Alright, so basically the shape crystals know because of the small soul inside them. This is why the Soul Keys don't run out, the pieces of soul go back into the earth and reform into Soul Shards.
  17. Well it's a bit like in Rithmatist. It's just something people don't know.
  18. Sure. It'll take a while cos of school and stuff, but I'll try.
  19. Thanks Darkness, I'll take what you said into mind.
  20. In the world of Okaros everyone can use magic, no 'nobles get magic's or 'Wizards and Muggles'. However, magic can only be used when one gets an object called a 'Soul Key' (EDIT: Soul Keys are easily obtained, you can buy them in shops) What you need to do is etch symbols onto it. The element (Fire,Water,Earth,Air,Lightning,Ice,Metal, Solar and Lunar) is written first followed by the type of spell. E.g To make a Water Whip Soul Key you etch the symbol for Water and then the rune for Whip. Once this is done, you either break the key in half (Quicker, but you do not get as much magical energy) or dissipate it (Much slower but you get more magic for your Elemental well.) When you use a Key of Fire, and you have never used Fire magic before, you will gain a new well of power. Children can go to schools of magic from the age of eight. Also when you use a Soul Key, for one day your power in that element will be twice as powerful, but afterwards it will wear off. There is also things called Shape Crystals, with these you carve an animal out of it. Once this is done you can summon that creature, the better it is carved the more powerful the monster will be. There is another world called Ivumel, in that there are a race called Ivumites, they use magic of crystals. They draw energy through the shards embedded in them, then release it in short bursts of power. The way magic came about in the world of Okaros is that elementals crashed to the ground, their meteors shattering into billions of Soul Shards, which are made into Soul Keys. There is a legend that when the Elemental of magic Exos came down, one of his Soul Shards changed into the key of Exos, which is said to (SAID to) give the user all magical abilities (Try and guess what it really does). This is an outline of my Magic system. If too much magic is used, the person's body will start to combust.
  21. 1. Well texts depict the forgotten spells being used, but mysteriously all records of the runes have been destroyed 2. Sorry the editor wasn't working on moblie.
  22. Oh and there is some spells which no one knows the runes for, there is one called the Jotun. Which is basically an ice giant with water for veins. By the way I'm a kid so don't go too hard on me.
  23. Well first there is only one Exos Key and second it has nothing to do with magic. But if it did give you all magic it would give you an Exos Well, which has all magic in it. Also if too much magic is used (Like a 50 foot long stream of fire continuously) you can literally combust.
