  1. Fun! That does assume that the elims aren't bunched up, but yeah. Where are you getting your hufflepuff read from?
  2. Hm. What is your plan here? I'm assuming you don't actually want to be exed Regardless, it seems like there hasn't been a huge shift in votes. @coco.pudding you responded to my post last night about not wanting to vote on Aman/Araris/TUM anymore. Care to tell us who you would exe now? i don't think this is a thing just you have been saying, but curious why Fallen going for prefect makes her seem more village, while Hopper seems more elim for the same reason?
  3. Slytherin buddies! Pictured: Siannain and Big Leo having a 'wizard duel' Big Leo and Little Leo comparing capes Azalea and her two blonde besties First years pestering Tom Donuts with questions
  4. After making sure the First Years had found their way into the dorms, Azalea wrapped her scarf around herself and slipped out of the Common Room. Amara Penwell. They hadn't been friends. Amara had focused on her studies to a degree that friendship was a distant priority, and Azalea couldn't help but respect that. In turn, Azalea would like to think that she'd earned a degree of Amara's respect in her own drive to push the boundaries of known magic. They'd interacted a few times when they happened to meet in the Library, or when they accidentally found themselves in the same empty classroom trying to find a place to read. No one had told them how Amara had died. The professors had passed down their ruling. Azalea and most of Slytherin knew better, even if they didn't voice it. Someone that driven, that passionate, didn't decide one day to... She'd studied Amara's ghost. She couldn't figure out how she died (Aman let me know if Amara has any actual death wounds) Where would she be at this hour? Azalea knew that Amara's brother was coming. Had spotted him, getting sorted to Gryffindor of all places. Tragic. Azalea had been hoping he'd follow in his sister's controversial footsteps, and she'd have tried her best to shield him from whatever killed Amara. Still. Gryffindor was still a slap in the Penwell family's faces, and she couldn't help but respect the kid. Would Amara have already found her brother? Azalea wouldn't be able to get into the Gryffindor common room. Well. That was a lie. Slytherin had already acquired the Gryffindor password. Still, they didn't want to let them know that this early in the year. Azalea made her way to the library, keeping a watch for ghosts the whole way. Peeves was probably tired out from a full day of messing with Firsties, but it didn't do to be careless. Through the moving staircases and the stone corridors, she went to a classroom that Amara had frequented for a spell. There had been a period where Azalea would sometimes take her own textbooks into the classroom, and tried to get Amara to discuss them with her - Amara got to test her memory of what she knew before she died, or try to learn information she had forgotten before she died, and Azalea got an intense and dedicated tutor. Lighting a few candles, she whispered "Accio Libellus Amara" Amara never really appreciated her doing that, but it was a surefire way to let Amara know she was looking for her. With a flash, a large notebook flew into the classroom. Locked with a physical lock, besides whatever protective charms that had been cast on it. Azalea settled down to wait. @Amanuensis
  5. People's opinions on me are really split huh Coco, Wahr, Qian and Mippo evidently haven't forgiven me for QF78, which, fair. I am kind of amused that this is Fallen's first actual read, and it's to support me, when I'm not really in danger atm. Could be a thing where an elim pops in to support a majority thought. But I do appreciate the sentiment, Fallen! I promise that in this game I cannot stab you in the back Mist what exactly have you been telling your sister about me >> Also this might be your new strategy, but being confused on rule mechanics is really helping you seem village right now I imagine if you were in a doc your teammates would have been arguing about this in there rather than in thread. Haven't solidified my votes yet. I'm think I'm dedicated to not voting on Aman or Araris, and I won't vote on the new/returners. That really limits my options. Coco, TJ/Mippo, TUM? TJ/Mippo haven't even really done anything, it's just that I don't have a good read on them yet. @mippo @|TJ| @Miss Fallen @Through the Living Hopper can you guys give me more of an idea of Ravenclaw dynamics and who susses who?
  6. Damn you Aman I also went through the work of collecting votes and you got there first That said, I think my collection is still kind of interesting. Players and their minuses. (positives) As Aman shows, Araris/Aman/TUM is popular. Which is fair. What amuses me is how Mist, Coco, and Grass have stated the exact same 3, while TUM has the above two but adds me. I think right now those three have a big target on their back, which makes it easy for elims to hop on and share similar suspicions of more trusted players. My current controversial opinion is we should exe none of them. I personally agree that TUM is low hanging fruit. I personally have a baseline suspicion when he's quiet because in a lot of games I've played, it's extremely hard to read TUM (unless we hard cleared him as elims ) because he lies low and pops in EoD with a vote. So he's someone that I'm always trying to press for more information or exe. I think my problem with this currently is that it feels almost too easy. As for Aman, I just really like his activity, I want to keep him around because even if he's evil, he's so active that I'll personally enjoy trying to read him more than an elim who's less active and harder to catch in a contradiction. And I don't see a reason to go after Araris at this juncture. We've poked him, he's shared his minuses and explained them. I'm willing to let that go for now. My current minuses as they stand are - Coco and Grass, and maybe Worldhopper. I know Coco has posted reads, and I really appreciate that. I also very much appreciate how Grass is mentioning specific people and calling them out. I just think that piling on the Aman/Araris/TUM seems like the thing to do and elims are comfortable there. It is almost certain there is an elim in the pool I'm currently ignoring of the people I'm unwilling to exe this round and that's throwing off my guesses. That's my thoughts for now, though. Hopefully things will change as the people who haven't posted start talking more. Again, I know Emperor showed up once in the Slytherin PM, and per TJ/Mippo Hopper and Miss Fallen have talked in the Ravenclaw PM wanting to be prefect. I'd love to hear what they have to say when they get in.
  7. What's making you cross Coco off specifically? I know you're derp-clearing Qian, and Araris has responded to your poke, so I'm just wondering what's helping you v!read Coco because I have not gotten anything off her. I will say, this might be me reading too much into things, but Coco being confused about who claimed Ravenclaw sounded genuine. Not alignment indicative yet, just interesting. Emperor has popped up once in our PM, but yeah, nothing in thread since sign up, but again, new. Giving them at least a cycle of not being voted on.
  8. That's a theory for sure. Here's another data point - you had 2 posts C0 and over 20 C1 C0 lasted less than 12 hours, so really not sure why that's something worth zeroing in on. Why is Twin your most suspicious? Plenty of other people have had pickups in activity. I liked your activity of poking quiet people to get responses, but this vote isn't really to get a response, is it? Edit: Aww you're attaching more reasons in edits now my question seems moot I'll accept that those are better reasons than just a burst of activity.
  9. I don't think anyone is actually v!reading me apart from a semi derp clear from Aman and vibes from Twin TUM and Wahr seem happy to exe me. I've been saying this in the Slytherin PM, but currently my focus is trying to get people to commit to votes. I've shared where my negatives are going. Willing to rescind on TJ and TUM since they've actually showed up and said things. Would still like to see TJ's reads when you get the time (unless you e!read me in which case keep it to yourself ) Current likes are Mist, Aman Neutral space 1 in that they've spoken but left no impression on me: Wahr, Qian, TJ, Araris, Mippo, Twin, TUM Neutral space 2 because unwilling to exe for new/returning: Miss Fallen, Ink, Grass, Mint, Emperor Current negatives are: Worldhopper, Coco. Just because I know how good an elim game Coco can play and want to coax some opinions out of her
  10. Given time has passed, willing to put my negatives on TUM, Araris, TJ, Worldhopper. TUM and Araris I know have been active in the Slytherin PM , and I really want TUM to commit to a read and to see who Araris suspects. @|TJ| how've you been? I expected more activity since you were so aggressive last game. @Miss FallenoHow's your first game going? Can't@ Worldhopper but also where are you?
  11. Azalea smiles. "A well stoked fire can warm a home in deepest winter, or burn it down. People always say He who must not he Named was from Slytherin and that's the big black mark against our House. Well. Our House made a monster, but it's just as capable of producing heroes as well..." She shrugs, languidly. "Choice. That's part of why people fear us. Because we make ourselves strong, and we grasp that choice in our hands to be a hero or a monster. That choice is still yours." Azalea smiles again. "Raese. Everyone needs two kind of people to draw strength from. Those who you want to prove right, and those who you want to prove wrong. Your father... He's proud of you. You want to prove him right, don't you? And for everyone who gives you a dirty look, or whispers something nasty, or thinks any lesser of you for the colors you wear... You want to prove them wrong, don't you?" She sees Raese smile. She softens again, gives him a curt nod. "Bedtime. It's been a big day for you." @The Unknown MedallionAs well Azalea turned to Siannain. "I didn't really see much, Vera and I were hurrying the first years away, but I've heard. Something about the Gryffindor ghost acting weird ... Snake coming out of its mouth and attacking McGonagall... Someone in the sorting chair that disappeared..." She shakes her head. "it's. A lot. We don't know for sure it was a ghost, or that it was killed. Just someone thst screamed and disappeared." "... We should ask the ghosts what they know, though. The snake coming out of Nick's mouth..." she looked at the other two students, seeing the same understanding on their faces. "Goes without saying, not a word to the First Years. But yes. Research. And we should also check with the ghosts. See if they know anything about what happened to Nick, or if there's a ghost that's missing, or acting odd. Siannain, think you can try the Baron?" she rolled her eyes. "He respects men more. Vera, let me know what you find in your research. I'll join you, but first I'm... I'm going to talk to Amara." @Amanuensis
  12. Azalea pursed her lips. "Rumors. Could've been a prank to scare the firsties." She smiled, reassuringly. "You'll find a lot of things in Hogwarts are going to be unsettling at first, but you will prove to be their equal. Take our House Ghost." She gestured to the Bloody Baron talking to one of the other students. "Terrifying to look at, with his gaunt eyes and chains. But a sweetheart when you actually talk to him." She got up, brushed herself down. "Why don't you get some rest? This was a very exciting first day. We'll talk more tomorrow, yeah?" She smiled, again, and perhaps Raese is perceptive enough to notice it isn't quite confident as she thinks, perhaps not. "Welcome to Slytherin, Raese. We expect great things from you tomorrow." Once Raese was gone, however, her smile dropped as she hunted for her friend. "Vera? Vera what was that? What do you think happened? Do you think it was a prank or did something actually happen? @coco.pudding
  13. Now with updated robe trims! I'm not too happy with how Amara looks, might toy with that a little more.
  14. Yeah, apologies if I wasn't clear, I had the same thought process with you of Mist jumping on the 'slip', and I also understand that there wasn't really a slip on your part as much as a misunderstanding, so my first paragraph was me appreciating that it happened because I think both your reactions were genuine and it did end up clarifying things for us.
  15. I have a base reluctance to exe Mist and Aman right now, because the whole C0 debate is interesting and I'm glad it's been clarified now, but I think I side with Mist for zeroing in on Aman's 'alignment' phrasing, even if I don't think it was necessarily a slip. I do appreciate they got it clarified, that's less Fog of War, which benefits us. Beyond that, Aman just hasn't been in a game for a while and I want to play with him . Same thing for Mint. Related, base reluctance to exe the newbies. I think that's Grass (or Ver? Sorry, what would you prefer to be called?), Ink, Miss Fallen, Emperor. I am curious about Emperor - I didn't see them in thread at all, yet they must have made the active choice for Slytherin to be in our House. This is funny because essentially I'm not voting on anyone in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor this round. Have we heard anything from the Ravenclaw House? They've been quiet. So I'm left with a pool of Araris, Twinstorm, TUM, Qian, Mippo, Coco, TJ, Worldhopper, Wahr. I really haven't seen anything alignment indicative from anyone of those yet, really. People seem to think Qian is V! leaning for reaction to the C0 confusion. Beyond that, it's not much. Don't know if this is indicative of anything, but Araris and Twin separately nominated me for Prefect, then Araris made a bid and Twin switched to voting for Araris. *shrug* Probably nothing but I'm noting it down. I don't know, not voting yet, will check back later.
  16. Well what I'm saying is that people didn't know they were going to be elims before they chose their house, unless alignments came out during c0, which Aman just confirmed it does not? Also @Through the Living Mist and @Through the living Wahr Coco and I before the game wanted to rp being mean girls, so we're going to tease and rag on you guys. Apologies to Mist if you felt we were trying to force you to pick a house you didn't want, it was all meant in the spirit of RP teasing. Obviously, please let us know if our RP, however playful, crosses the line at any point, alright? --------------- Azalea giggles. "Oh, a little rebel! Gryffindor always says they get the brave ones, but it takes a special kind of courage to strike out on your own. I'm proud of you already, firstie!" In a hushed voice, "There was a girl like you, struck out from her Ravenclaw family to forge her own path as a Slytherin. She was a role model. Maybe I'll introduce you someday." "Anyways!" Azalea clapped her hands sharply. "Introductions! We'll start with our little crew, the fashionably lates! We certainly got the lion's share - giggle - of the firsties!" Gesturing to herself and Vera, "I am Azalea Blackwood, and this is Vera Coran. We're actually aiming to be Head Girls of Slytherin this year, so keep us in your consideration. I plan to focus my studies on theories of time and runicks, really push the boundaries of what we know, while Vera aims to join her family in the Ministry of Magic!" @coco.pudding Gesturing to the tall, intense blond man. "Tom Donuts, sixth year." Whispering, "Don't laugh at his name. He's come from a very mysterious lineage. Refuses to comment on much, so do ask him questions, maybe you'll be the lucky one to get an answer!" @Araris Valerian To the caped man. "Leonidas, sixth year. Has a cape. Likes dueling." To him, gesturing to Leokaidius, "You have competition!" @Qianweilian To Siannan, "Siannain O'hAodhes" said with perfect pronounciation, "sixth. Most are confused why he's in Slytherin when all he seems to care about is Quidditch, but we respect that he's honed his skill with a wand to... almost-lethal capacity? This man doesn't need the forbidden curses to be dangerous." @The Unknown Medallion "We also have @Emperor Comatose, I'll uh, let him introduce himself." She smiles again, ceding the floor to the two first-years. "Now, why don't the two of you introduce yourselves and what you aim to do, at Hogwarts and beyond?" @TwinStorm @Through the living Wahr
  17. Alongside Vera, Azalea hurried the new First-years Raese and Leo to the Slytherin Common Room. "So, our common room is down by the Dungeons, which the other Houses seem to think implies something, but really, it means we have the most secure and secret Common Room! We actually enjoy the least amount of scrutiny compared to the comings and goings in the other Common Rooms, which suit us just fine." Coming to a stretch of bare stone wall, Azalea whispered "Aspiration", causing stone to slide, revealing a passage to the most beautiful Common Room in the Castle. Deep green, dark wood, silver trim. The Room was lit with soft flickering torchlight and the cast of greenish light from above. "What other Common Room has a lake for a ceiling?" Azalea asked rhetorically, gesturing to the great glass ceiling where one could see fish swim past. The torchlight was soft and cozy, the couches soft and well-appointed, "Here you may study and chart your course over the next seven years!" Noticing Raese's uncertaintly, she stooped to his level. "I see you've heard of our "reputation"." Her smile softened slightly. "To be honest, I didn't think you were Slytherin material either. Our House is one of shadows, intrigue, and ambition. But I'm happy to be wrong." She looked in his eyes again. "You chose to be here, didn't you, firstie? Here is where you will grow to your fullest potential. You're a fire, kid." She noted how his eyes widened at that phrase. "I'm glad you chose us. Here, you will stoke your flame, focus it, from a random fire to a firebolt that burns exactly what it needs to." She stands again, smile growing sharp. "Be proud of who you are. You owe it to yourself. This is what it means to be Slytherin." She paused, looking at the two first-years. "Any questions?"
  18. Okay, genuinely confused because I received my GM PM before Cycle 0 started, which of course said Loyal student. So the signups say: "Rollover Zero House PMs are created. These are the only PMs in the game. Alignments are now assigned:" But at Cycle 0, the writeup says "Rollover Zero House PMs are created. These are the only PMs in the game. Alignments are assigned. See Rules for more information." So with this, I assumed alignments weren't assigned at the start of Cycle 0, but at rollover, which is why I believed House declarations to be NAI because I fully believed at that point that no one knew what their actual alignment was going to be. This is supported by TUM's post in C0 where he states he doesn't know what alignment he is yet. So which is it actually? I received my PM before C0, which is why I'm assuming no one else would receive alignment updates in C0 unless they were elim. I did have the same thought as Mist upon reading what Aman said, but is that cleared up now? Can we clear up if anyone actually received a GM PM during C0?
  19. Funny, I assumed we were declaring Houses before we got our alignments because I declared my house in my GM PM before Cycle 0, so I wasn't worrying House choices being alignment indicative. I see that might have been wrong now. Yeah Slytherin has like 8 people it's wild. @Amanuensis If you think Amara might have known Azalea, Azalea's happy to try and facilitate communication between Lamar and Amara.
  20. Azalea giggles. "He's not the only one," she says, pointing at Jarry the sixth year. She leans against Vera. "Obviously, not everyone can pull off arriving fashionably late in style and with all their...faculties intact, huh?" "Think any of those first years are coming to our House? How many came with us, three? That german kid with the cape seems interested. Bet Leonidas will be excited to have someone to compare cape sizes with." "Your project, on the other hand," looking at Trance, "Probably a Hufflepuff. Unless he makes enough of a fuss that the Hat gives up and puts them in Gryffindor like all the hard-headed ones." "And that cloud-haired boy that Jane scared? Heard him muttering 'Gryffindor' and 'Slytherin' like those were the only two choices. I mean. Hat's probably sick of kids who only like those two Houses, huh?"
  21. Rivals to lovers arc when Also the fact that big Leo and little Leo are in the same house is going to be great drama potential Also hi @Frozen Mint ! I feel like I remember you from some games in the past! I also took a very long break from SE so my memory is also fuzzy
  22. My secret motive for the free art has been exposed! Jokes aside I had already decided when I first signed up Also you sir have not given me a char description I think you're the only fourth year in this game Hufflepuff answer right there Also just as a note, I'm still a little burnt out (because burnt was there yes) from last game so I'm going to be a little more chill this game. Just putting it out there
  23. Oh fun! Azalea might actually have known Amara then! Think they were friends? Archer out of curiosity are you going to try and keep the houses proportionate?
  24. Everybody tell me your declared houses so I can make your house robes have the correct color trim Also Aman what houses are the siblings in?
