  1. Lol I've been elim twice since I've been back? I don't think of myself as a busser unless absolutely necessary. And I would not describe a day 1 bus as necessary. If I was an elim, I would have simply voted on Akimiko and called it a day, as plenty of people were happy to see her flip and I wouldn't have stood out in that crowd. You'd probably be better off asking people like Jo, Penguin or TOW who've seen me evil? On today's vote, I'm kind of divided. Remember how I was talking about how I like ties because it's interesting to see who was on which train and who scrambled at the end? To be honest, I didn't think Archer was scrambling because he lay the groundwork by hopping all over the place the whole day, but that's a good example of someone trying to save their teammate last minute. I'm currently interested in looking at people who weren't in the vote. That's people like Mippo, who voted on Akimiko on two different occasions but removed themselves from the train end of day to park their vote on someone who wasn't in danger. Coco also made a couple of votes but removed themselves from voting entirely. Wahr had 2 votes, then retracted both. Of this pool, I do think Mippo comes off as most suspicious, especially when they wanted it known that they thought Archer was evil when Archer wasn't in danger. That feels like setting up some distancing for me. I'm grouping TUM, Jo, and Stick together in the not very clear reads pile. Jo and Stick both seem very focused on the Shardbearer, which to me just feels like misdirection. Incidentally, Stick, I do think it's interesting that you're suddenly accusing me of being a Shardbearer right after Jo's post that posited you as the Shardbearer Also your behavior on Day 1 where you started on Mist, changed to Aki, waited for her to say something, then changed back to Mist - it did kill an elim which is why I don't think you're a Regal, but that did stick out to me as odd. Akimikoisthecutest is still my strongest village read. I do worry that I'm giving them too much of a pass because they're obviously cleared and a perfect target for conversion, especially as she didn't protect herself last cycle, but so far they have not done anything that set off alarm bells yet. ThatOneWorldhopper and IcedOutPenguin are still kind of unknowns for me. Both of them did vote day 1 - Penguin was on Akimiko, and TOW was on Archer. on day 2 they just voted each other. Of those two, I'm more inclined to be suspicious of Penguin based on their vote on Akimiko. I do like Qianweilian - Last cycle I said they seem to be following what other people are voting, but they did call out Penguin last cycle and seem to be doing it again. So far the vote are: Qian (1) TOW Mippo (1) Stick TUM (1) Wahr Penguin (2) Qian2, Jo I'm willing to vote for either Penguin or Mippo, so I'm just going to tie the vote with Mippo. I do like the fact there's a tie, at the very least it will generate more discussion than yesterday's train. Qian (1) TOW Mippo (2) Stick, Doc TUM (1) Wahr Penguin (2) Qian2, Jo
  2. That's fair, I have been thinking about those things - knowing that Drake was a village spren protecting an elim was what made me interested in finding spren, as even though they're village they're essentially extra votes protecting elims. That's why I wanted to exe Honor's Ghost, because even though they turned out to be village, we don't know who they were protecting. As for the Shardbearer hunt, I dismissed it because with 2 elims dead, we have more time before the Shardbearer can reach parity. If we find another elim this cycle or next, there's no way the Shardbearer can win. As for tying, I'm not sure why this is a surprise - ties are very good in SE because it forces people to be involved - the vote being so close at the end of the day forced Archer to try and break the tie to kill Akimiko, and I was the one who made it a tie again so Akimiko could break the tie with her vote. As for the Archer train, what do you mean? There were 2 votes on Archer, one from TOW early in the day and one from Mippo who just wanted it clear they thought Archer was evil. The Mistfallen/Aki vote was at 4/4. I am actually very proud of my vote that cycle as it killed an elim?
  3. I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to respond to the first statement. I do get the sense that I sort of directed the HG lynch yesterday alongside you, but we were both suspicious of HG? And I don't want to be the only person pointing things out, I would really like for other opinions besides mine. To your second question, I did disagree with TJ that posting reads was not e!indicative especially in a convert game, which is why I've been also trying to give a general sense of my reads each cycle. But I voted Mistfallen because 1) I did generally like Akimiko more than Mistfallen, and 2)At the time of voting, I was creating a tie when Archer put Akimiko in the lead.
  4. Damn. Sorry HG. I was wrong. I wonder who they were protecting. Is it worth considering that their radiant was another elim and thats why their secret vote pattern was weird? Based on the attacks, my current questions are: Was Stick the elim or the Sb attack? Genuine attack or gambit? Why TJ? They were the only vote on Mippo - was that why they were attacked? And yeah, there's another secret vote on HG - it does seem pointless when they were leading by so much. There were two attacks last night, and Akimiko told me they protected me from a conversion - that means there are probably 2 elims, one to kill, one to convert.
  5. Alright, I hope to be on a little before rollover tonight, but here's where things stand for me currently. Wahrheitswächter - I still don't quite know what to believe here, I think it's very possible they're an elim who Archer poke voted, but their indignation doesn't seem manufactured. I still find it suspicious that they were part of the Aki train, then decided to not vote altogether, removing themselves from the vote discussion. It's very possible that they didn't anticipate the Mistfallen train appearing and did not get on in time to change the results/were told not to interact as there were already 2 elims on the Aki train. |TJ| as Taxill - Mild v!read. They've discussed mechanics and they were actually the first vote on Mistfallen. Has not voted yet. TUM - Initially voted me as a joke, then started the Aki vote. Not much else. e!read. A Jo in the Bush - I also received the Shardbearer PM. Could be a double bluff to make people not suspect him as a Shardbearer. Honestly do not think the Shardbearer is a priority right now. Akimikoisthecutest - Strongest village read, obviously. I considered the possibility that the elims might have wanted to convert her because she would be cleared. And I don't know how to prove or disprove that, unless we have Discerners who can scan them. So far has not voted. Honors Ghost - Strongest lead right now because of the confusing spren claims. mippo - Mippo is kind of in the background for me. They were part of the Aki train twice before hopping on Archer. I was initially going to clear them as they ended the day voting Archer, but in an e!Mippo world I can see them telling Mippo to distance just in case. they were very clear they wanted it known last cycle that they were suspicious of Archer instead of choosing to influence the vote. I would also vote Mippo to see what happens. Stick - Making a lot of elim jokes, which is par for the course. They play the same whether elim or villager which makes it hard to tell. Not willing to exe this cycle. ThatOneWorldhopper and IcedOutPenguin - grouping them together because they're just voting each other right now. I do want to go back to the TOW train last cycle, but I don't have the time right now. Penguin thsi cycle seems a little short, but that's not unusual for them. coco.pudding as Kiri - We've had some brief PM interactions, but nothing they've done has really stood out - last cycle they participated in the Wahr and Aki trains before also removing themselves from the vote. Qianweilian - They are here and voting. Nothing really standing out either. Seems to mostly be following what other people are voting. This day is a lot quieter than yesterday - where is everyone?
  6. Alright I'm back after doing some rule reading and thinking very hard about secret votes. One thing I did not consider is that I'm assuming that Akimiko, being inspiring, would have used her secret vote AND protected somebody, which on rereading the rules, she may have only been able to use one. So if she protected Archer, then she did not add a secret vote. So we have Drake who either used his secret vote on Mistfallen or Wahr and the spren player who told me they used their vote on Akimiko. That still leaves one person with a secret vote, so there is either a THIRD spren floating around or a second inspiring who used their secret vote on Mistfallen/Wahr. Of those, I suppose a second inspiring is the more likely. Given that the player has posted since my last post but chosen not to say anything, I'm going to put my vote on Honor's Ghost. They explained in PMs that they were just trying to cover their bets by making sure one of Akimiko or Mistfallen died by publicly voting on one and secretly voting the other, but I don't quite understand this reasoning, and believe they might have been trying to influence the tie by perhaps removing their public vote on Mistfallen at the last minute but keeping their secret vote on Akimiko. But then, why admit to both Stick and me where they put their secret vote? Apologies for outing you in this way, but I think that action was very strange. EDIT: Oh, and re: the Archer discussion - Did we forget Akimiko claimed they used their protect on Archer?
  7. They said they added the vote on Akimiko. Will type more in a bit. Right now curious if they'll reveal themselves before I do.
  8. If Akimiko didn't use their secret vote, then who was the secret vote on Mistfallen? Additionally, I received a role claim of another spren, which: 1. I feel unlikely because two spren seems like a lot of spren, esp in a game where if a radiant dies it takes out 2 players, as seen with drake. 2. If true, it does explain the third secret vote 3. Except I was wrong about the secret vote count because Akimiko just claimed they didn't use their secret vote, meaning if Akimiko is inspiring and didn't use their vote, there's a fourth secret voter. So now, even with drake dead, we are still looking at either 3 people with secret votes, or akimiko might be lying about their role. What do you all think about the likelihood of another spren ?
  9. I mean, sure. That does discount you slightly, you were just one I was most inclined to vote on in that train. I also want to look at Wahr, who removed themselves from voting after archer poked them and did not vote after that. Now that it's a new cycle I'm also willing to vote for them again.
  10. Lol this feels like the AG but this time I'm on the other side. Mistfallen Soldier: (7) TJ, Jo, Stick, Honors Ghost, Doc, Akimoi Wahr: (1) Archer: (2) Mippo, TOW Akimo: (6) TUM, Qian, Mistfallen, Iced, Archer Alright, from this. First of all, there's a secret vote on Wahr - no idea why that's there, as Wahr was not in danger at any point end of cycle. Maybe an Inspiring or spren who was on last cycle and trying to deflect off someone in danger then? I have to go back and look if there was an actual train other than Wahr. Secondly, I'm inclined to clear Aki for clinching that vote on Mistfallen. Similarly, Mippo and TOW voted on Archer at the end of the day. Thirdly, no elim kill. @TwinStorm @Hoid Slayer are we told if the kill was blocked via Heroic/Spren? Fourthly, Do we think a convert went off? Tracking secret votes, there seems to be an extra vote on Aki, on Mistfallen, and Wahr. Aki claimed Inspiring - they probably added the second vote on Mistfallen. The secret vote on Aki is I'm assuming Drake, who must have been one of the elims spren to die when they died. There's one more secret vote floating around, so I'm assuming there might be a second inspiring/spren. Also did not see any use of envoyform - counting the votes and the names, there doesn't seem to be a decrease in vote on any party, unless there's a fourth added vote and it was taken away by envoyform. So obviously, I'm now looking at the people who are on the Akimiko train. The actual train began when the Wahr train was just beginning to break up. TUM voted on them for going after TOW. Mippo joined again, then Qian, then Mistfallen, then Coco, Penguin, Stick, and Archer. So 2 confirmed elims on that train. I'd normally be disinclined to believe all the elims were on the same train, but it was getting pretty close end of day. Between TUM, Penguin, and Qian, I'm more interested in TUM. In general also interested to see how Qian and Penguin vote today.
  11. ? Aki: (5) TUM2, Qian2, Mist4, Penguin2, Archer9 Mist: (5) TJ, Stick3, Jo2, HG4, Doc3 TOW: (1) Akimiko Archer: (1) Mippo5, TOW3 I'm voting for Mistfallen, I'm in there.
  12. I don't really think there was a train on TOW? TOW had 2 joke/poke votes, and Aki just called them out for being here but not contributing, which is something I don't disagree with. I need to go and reread that section of the day because everyone was talking about making a tie but Aki's initial vote count was off and there wasn't actually a tie. Yeah as others have said it's my way of keeping track of where people are shifting votes. Archer holds the record for most vote switches, while TJ and Akimiko hold steady at only having a single vote. There is no tie! TOW switched off Aki so now Aki is in the lead. Wahr Mistfallen There is now though. Aki: (5) TUM2, Qian2, Mist4, Penguin2, Archer9 Mist: (5) TJ, Stick3, Jo2, HG4, Doc3 TOW: (1) Akimiko Archer: (1) Mippo5, TOW3
  13. I am extremely confused by the sudden switch on Akimiko. First of all, I have no idea where people are getting their vote counts from - there was a lot of talk of ties earlier, but at no point was there a tie - Aki's vote count after mine contained several errors, and I think everyone just went from there? The current vote count by my count is Aki: (7) TUM2, Mippo4, Qian2, Mist4, Coco3, Penguin2, Stick2 Mist: (3) TOW, TJ, Archer7 TOW: (3) Jo, Akimiko, HG3 Wahr: (1) Doc2 As someone who was elim in the AG, Aki as Zebra focused on me D1 and stayed on me the whole time, and was right, so I feel like this 'aggression' isn't completely out of nowhere for them. I actually don't see anything wrong with trying to bring the village to a consensus. The AG had a lot of loud voices, so maybe their voice just seems louder by comparison. I don't know. The only real actual thing people have against them is how aggressive they're currently being? I don't know if I like how quickly the Wahr train switched to the Aki train. Mippo, Qian, and Coco were all on that train and were very happy to switch on to Aki, so if she flips village I'd be looking into one or more of them. I'm also a little confused about this reasoning from TJ and Archer - in a game where if we get converted our reads will have to change, isn't it a net good for people to be posting the reads they have now, so if their tone on certain player changes later it will become clear? I need to make dinner, so I'm keeping my vote on Wahr for now, but I want to actually look at when the train splintered and see who instigated that - I believe it was TUM who started that train and everyone followed. Back in a bit.
  14. Nienna hummed to Confusion. She had accused young Kiri, but it was true that of those that had piled on Yakat, Dahran had also acted opportunistically and tried to justify their vote in a way that Kiri had not. Currently she found her attention drawn towards Marne, who's reaction to O seems very defensive - they were happy to pile onto Kiri, and when challenged instead of arguing with anyone present chose to accuse one not yet arrived. And yet they are also so young..." Current thoughts (incomplete because i have to leave soon) Archer is acting pretty chaotic but has actually been giving reasoning for some of their vote switches. I don't believe their shardbearer claim but am interested to see the results. Mistfallen gave some reads which I appreciate. @Mistfallen Soldier does your analysis change the poke vote you dropped? TJ gave some thoughts on the SK and warned people about conversions, which to me means nothing yet. TheUnknownM is interacting but not giving analysis or votes, so I'm inclined to vote them just because Coco, Mippo, Honor's Ghost and Wahr are relatively new players that have thrown out random poke votes. As stated, I was looking closely at Coco and Mippo due to the Drake train, but that early in the cycle it could still be nonindicative. I am actually more interested in Wahrheitswächter. I want to cut you some slack as you're a new player, but you jumped on the Coco train, then I found your switch to Stick very sudden. As Archer just pointed out, you seemed to switch from poke voting loud people to poke voting quiet people. in PMs, you told me you just wanted to change your vote literally to get Archer off you, but then you picked a random person instead of actually trying to find any reasoning to vote anyone. So that's where my vote is for the moment. Current count Drake: (3) Honor's Ghost, Archer3, Mippo2, Coco Wahr: (2) Archer5, Doc TOW: (2) Jo, Penguin Stick: (1) Wahr Penguin: (1) Mistfallen Coco Pudding: (0) Doc1, Archer4, Wahr1 Mippo: (0) Archer1 Honors Ghost (0) Archer2 Akimiko: (0) Mippo1
  15. Nienna peeks out of her door - Listeners throwing accusations at each other in jest. The one known as O, jumping around merrily accusing people of being a Regal spy and proposing that they would all die. Narash, Dahran, and Fernri threw out random suggestions. Then Fernri tossed an idle accusation Yakat's way, on which O, Dahran, and Kiri jumped on in quick succession. And now they were pretending to be listeners in Scholarform jesting about libraries and essays. How could they be so... whimsical? She rolls her eyes, and returns to her studies. So far the only game-related thought I'm seeing is Archer's joke? post on achieving 0-0-0 parity, which would be very funny to happen. Eyeing the train on Drake - so far it seems it's all in fun - HG just poke voted, Archer seems to be playing chaotic, and Mippo and Coco seem to be 'why not'. Of these, I'm most inclined to be leery of Coco just because it's their first vote as opposed to Archer and Mippo who have already poke voted and are switching votes left and right. It feels a little more pointed to just jump on a train that already has 3? But this is interesting, I guess. Let's see how this train develops. In the meanwhile, I'm going to place my vote on Coco Pudding - understanding that the Drake train is mainly a joke right now but interested to see who they vote on next. Vote count Mippo: (0) Archer1 Penguin: (1) Mistfallen Honors Ghost (0) Archer2 Akimiko: (0) Mippo1 Drake: (4) Honor's Ghost, Archer3, Mippo2, Coco TOW: (1) Jo Coco Pudding: (1) Doc EDIT: Edit to avoid double posting - I started making PMs but I am very sleepy. If I haven't gotten to you yet I will do so tomorrow, but feel free to start PMs with me to save me some time
  16. Nienna missed Narak more than anything. Once she had been proud of her chosen Artform. She sang her people's songs, the song of listing, of remembrance, of spren. Once she sang for her people so that they remembered their heritage, that they were warmed by hope of what was and what could be. Songs of celebration, of survival even as the human oppressors waged war across the Plains. Then everything had gone wrong. Eshonai's sister brought Stormform to Narak, and with them summoned the Storm of their forsaken God. And after that a terrible, jumbled mess as listeners were renamed singers, as those from Venli's faction became Regals, dominating all other forms, and her friends were taken away to become terrible Fused - demented monsters who wore her loved one's corpses. And now the forced march to a wretched human city, where now gathered singers waited for when a Regal would take one of their number away for the 'great honor' of sacrificing themselves for the cause, to offer up their body for an ancient ancestor who knew, much less cared, little about the singers in the present. Now she lived and worked among hundreds of former dullform singers and a handful of singers from Narak, waiting for a Regal to show up at her doorstep. And still they - the singers from Narak, the former slaves of the humans - still they looked to her for art, for song, seemingly uncomprehending that there was no song for a situation such as this. In the slow, sharp Rhythm of the Lost, she would have to compose a new song for her people. A song of the death of the Singers - not at the hands of humans or even Gods, but at the hands of their own.
  17. Alright I'm joining this QF because I like Twin and Hoid and the ruleset looks fun. I will warn everyone that the QF cycle will be harder for me as I'll be working the weekdays and will probably only be really active in the evenings, though I might PM in the mornings. With that caveat aside, happy to be here! I'll be Nienna, an artform singer.
  18. Maybe the true Sanderson Elimination was the dead Doc you killed along the way
  19. Wait people voted for me? I figured since I died so early I wouldn't be remembered Thank you everyone, Adolnasium-Storming-Reborn was my first time doing heavy RP since I've been back. I really enjoyed playing them, and I'm glad people liked them too! Well, again, congratulations to the village! @Araris Valerian We tried. @Honors Ghost Sorry you died so early, was fun being on the same team! @ThatOneWorldhopper can't believe we were evil together - can I have that salmon now that everything's over? @Furamirionind, sibling in arms. Loved being evil together, shame it didn't last very long. Also give me Syl back goddammit you've had her for a week. I gotta change my locks. @Kasimir Damn you for making me doubt myself I should have stuck with my convictions. @Archer congratulations! Extremely impressed with how you pulled off your cosmetic role. Wish I'd gotten the chance to interact with it more! @Akimikoisthecutest I was really impressed by your RP last game, and you were amazing this game as well. I loved Finch and their doodads. Also congratulations on pinpointing me early day 1 and sticking to it! @Hoid Slayer hope you enjoyed the memes @CoderDrag0n8 nice job stealing the Seeker and using it against us. You frustrated us! That's a compliment @Ink and Embers Welcome! I enjoyed Ophelia, hope to see you again! @IcedOutPenguin Nice shot I'll get you next time. @Divergent Good to see you again! I really like Levin and your style of analysis. @Aeternum I always say this whenever I see you pinch hitting, but you always come in swinging with amazing analysis and really strong RP. Love seeing you here. @|TJ|, @DrakeMarshall I didn't get to interact with you guys at all, but it was fun watching you guys get targeted @mippo, @Mistfallen Soldier strong performances all round. I thought you guys were much more experienced players from your posts! And @A Jo in the Bush and @The Unknown Medallion, lot of highs and lows - mostly low for the elims - this game, but the chaos was ultimately very funny. Thanks for running it! Loved the spaceship setting, excited to see future AG's evolve! Mauve Crocodile/Adolnasium-Storming-Reborn/Doc signing off!
  20. I WAS RIGHT ABOUT IHAT Dive, you did your best and I love you. Day 4 where you came in extremely biased against me but was willing to talk was really great and cemented my respect for you as a player. We almost got TUO then Special shoutout to @Ookla the Broken who I was suspicious of all game until you pocketed me day 4 by hard defending me almost all cycle before your sudden but inevitable betrayal Not gonna lie, that last minute hammer really stung and I gave up on the game then. Fura, Hoid, had a blast in the dead doc as always! Final Syl pic below!
  21. Well I must say, I tried my hardest to argue in my favor but i didn't expect this much of a turnaround. I've got to go to bed now. Hopefully I'll see you all on the other side!
  22. Alright. I've been chatting furiously with Dive and IHAT. I am functionally placing my full trust in IHAT because right now he's the only person voting with me when he could very justifiably turn on me. And the more I talk to Dive the more I see they're actually trying to solve the game instead of coast. This is honestly a very funny chain - Dive doesn't fully trust me but I've made enough of an effort to convince him, and I didn't fully trust IHAT but he's made enough of an effort to convince me. So KSOS TUO
  23. I would just as easily vote TUO. I could also see them pushing for the smoker idea. And the reasoning was 1) to see if IHAT and Honor's Ghost would join me in my voting and 2) I already said I was willing to flip Jo anyways so when they did I thought 'might as well commit'
  24. My thoughts on Twinstorm is that he was absent, which he explained. From memory, he was active during the three-way tie in cycle 2, where he expressed suspicion of one player, but then voted based on vibes on another player to create a tie? So really I don't have much to go on for Twin/your alignment. The vote on Jo was very sudden, I agree. It was me wanting to poke Jo for a reaction. I was curious if IHAT would join me, and I was surprised that Honor's Ghost was so willing to join too. I think my bias this game has been to give a lot of credit to people who are actually doing a lot of work. I'm giving Stick a lot of leeway because her ISO posts are genuinely nice. I respect that IHAT has been so active and actually discussing things. I respect Dive coming in and also doing analysis/asking questions. I was very willing to vote on Jo/TUO because they were voting on vibes/just to tie. Yeah, Alv does that too, but honestly I don't think I could get a majority on Alv because this what they do. To answer your question about IHAT, I tunneled hard on them, and then backed off hard because I realized I was tunneling. I do not trust my judgement on them. Right now, they are working with me, and defending me, and pinging people to vote in unity, and that's something I can respect, no matter what alignment they are.
