  1. Eh, that's very clever! I feer that the answer will be is lunu'anaki Hoid in future books, but still!
  2. Back to the Future - Scadrial Version And it's event not a jock. The bubbles multiplicate one another. And we've seen the effenciency of only one bubble (and a large one, a small one migth be more efficient), juste imagine what could do a bubble in a bubble in... in bubble ten times. Bubble^10. Scadrial Era3, here we come!
  3. Granted. The hemalurgic spikes are made from you though. Eh, that's not your bane, you were all the Nigthwatcher had to word with. As your bane, the process doesn't kill let, and the Nigthwatcher is even kind enough to offer you a consciouness about your actual state: you can see you being a zombi, yet can't do anything against it. Don't be too sad, your rat is very smart now. I wish to have more upvotes than Voidus!
  4. Create a new post, no need to necropost this one ^^'
  5. He's mad 95% of the time, so can we judge him well?
  6. Kaladin and Shallan in the chams, and more particulary when they goes deep in confidences. So emotive... "Oh, storms. She smiled anyway." I think I almost cried reading this (and very very very few books can do this to me, and most of them only can once)
  7. The Well of Ascenscion and the mist are neither splinter or sliver, they are pure power of Proservation. A splinter is a tiny piece of a Shard (Warbreaker spoiler: ), with other conditions we don't know yet. Generally, splinters have a strong connexion to the Cognitive and the Spiritual. Atium or lerasium are no splinters if you wonder. (Does someone has a better definition?) A Sliver is someone who has held and used a significant part of a Shard power and then released it. Regarding the fuelling of allomancy gained by hemalurgy, I'm almost certain it comes from Preservation (except, of course, atium and its alloys): what hemallurgy steals is a part of your Spiritual DNA. So, when stealing allomancy, you steal the part of a spiritweb which allows you to draw power from Preservation.
  8. Tindwyl death. Because it was not shown, all we could do was following Sazed and his hopes - hopes we were sure were false. Sazed, after killing hundreds of koloss, after saving the city, after having seen Vin come back, and finally knowing that Tindwyl loved him, all that Sazed could do was to deliberatly believe in a false hope, wich was to be crushed very soon.
  9. Well, we at least agree on the significant point: honor is not justice. We just disagree on our definitions of honor and justice. In fact, I think that I consider Justice as the structure man made, and you as the concern of being just, fair (what I do call Honor). So you're rigth: I call Justice what you call Honor, and Honor what you call Justice. Hum.
  10. That's basically the 5th heigthenning, no?
  11. In fact, no Drab can return: (Well, this WoB doens't exactly say that a Drab can't Return, but almost. So...) I don't think that there's a major different between someone born on Nalthis with no Breath and a Drab. I mean, a Drab basically is a Nalthisian (??) without a Breath, so the result is the same as if he was born Breathless. Except maybe on his Soul, since that being invested with a Breath should lead to some changes on the soul. For the second part, I don't konw either. We have a WoB concerning how this happen on Scadrial: babies have the piece of Preservation in them since the moment of their conception (I can't find this WoB, I am wrong?). It may be the same on Nalthis, as it may not. The question is the same though: if a baby is invested since its conception (btw, is it the rigth word?), what happen to the Investiture if there's voluntar/involuntar abortion? Same question about death in general: when someone dies, where goes his investiture?
  12. I think that these are two fundementaly different thematic: Honor is about doing what is just (yeah, the vocabulary makes strange things), moral, fair, whereas Justice is about what is dued, what is legal. As I see it (and yes, it's totally subjective and could lead to awesome philosophical reflexions), many conclusion of justice aren't honorable, and many honorable acts aren't legal. I'd say that Honor is what we call natural laws and Justice human laws. And I don't know if it can be taken as a proof, but what we konw about Skybreaker-Windrunner relations shows that honor and justice don't mix very well.
  13. I thought it was implied in HoA that Vin couldn't control him because Ruin already was, Vin not being powerfull enough to overcome Ruin control. After all, she could control a kandra, and they have only two spikes.
  14. Or maybe that the Investiture coumpouned comes directly from Preservation, and that the coumpounder would make himslef a Sliver of Preservation?
  15. Those WoB seem to indicate that Adolin (for ex.) has to make the oaths of an Edgedancer. This migth be one of the things to do in step 3 (but not enough, sadly)
  16. Granted. You now have a normal vision. As your bane, you now are unable to pronouce, read, hear, or thinking the sounds U and V. I wish to know Odium's masterplan.
  17. Is there a WoB concerning this infinity? And if there power is infinite, how could small differencies like between Ruin and Preservation be so significant? Infinite, even deprived of a small part of itself, still is infinite. The Mathematic stuff is that there's different kind of infinite: it's a question of nature. So I'd rather think that Shard/Adonalsium power isn't infinite, but juste far more extended than other entities power.
  18. Well, since that there's the steel blue lines, it may be even easier than with eye: you just have to mentally continue the line, and thus see where you are aiming. Sort of laser-assisted shot. I totally agree with this point. And even with Wax F, it'd still be worth the try to push/pull his guns. Wax has to hold the guns, so a coordinate push/pull could have made him drop those; that's not like the BOM in TFE.
  19. When you speak of "conservation of energy", do you speak of our kind of energy? Or does Investiture count as energy? For if it's the latter, then I suspect that it'd be impossible do hack the conservation...
  20. Granted. Rains suddenly stop. As your bane, you now are unable to sense humidity or water. I wish to have no bane.
  21. I think there's a WoB saying that Demoux is a 17th because of his wife (the terris one in the end of HoA), so the question would rather be: how his wife became a member of the 17th?
