Karin slowly woke up at the bottom of the hot spring, stretching out and yawning, something which immediately earned her a lung full of water. She quickly paddled up to the surface, taking care to get rid of the water before she reached the surface to prevent drenching anyone she talked to. Standing on the shore she wondered how long she had slept, and looked around for the others. She hadn't intended to fall asleep there after all, but the water was just too comfortable. Still, she hoped she hadn't overslept. The base-camp still seemed to be there, so it couldn't have been that long, and besides, the others would have woken her before moving on, right? Still, when she looked around she didn't find anyone. "Ah, verdorie," she muttered, then immediately raised her eyebrows in surprise. It had been a while since she'd last used that language by accident. Still, she didn't have any time to waste. She quickly ran to her pack, and deployed her curtain. A minute later it vanished, and Karin emerged fully dressed. She quickly went to one of the other expedition members, and asked them where the others had gone to. He pointed in the direction they had gone to, and she quickly started running in that direction, hoping they weren't too far away.

Ah, alright, I guess I didn't interpet that correctly. In that case I'll modify her a bit to fit within the limits. Edit: Aylitha v2 (Changed areas bolded): @Sorana

Alright, thanks. For Aylitha I figured that the skills of the different minds wouldn't add up, instead just taking the biggest number for each skill, since in most cases switching wouldn't improve them.

They won't be teaming up. They're more likely to just kill each other, given their personalities.

Shade sat on the roof of the main building, watching the ground, feeling relaxed. She had just finished her tasks for the day, and wanted to get away from everything for a while. She had slowly started settling in, and she was finally capable of walking around without needing the support of her powers, the need to feel hidden, the dampening of the emotions that accompanied them. Still, she kept her power on a light burn, just enough to avoid attracting attention. She told herself it was just to make sure nobody would see her and get worried, though deep down she knew that wasn't the actual reason. Still, things were getting better, even the nightmares were slowly starting to lessen. She sighed, and idly continued gazing at the rooftops.

Here are the characters I'll be using (can we use multiple characters?): Nimari: Aylitha: These might be a bit difficult to grade, sorry for that.

I start running after Sorana, making sure that I hold on to a piece of fruit I picked. I start storing more heat as my body starts to warm up from the running.

Mari suddenly felt Vio rip upwards, her grip on him faltering. Suddenly remembering something she wanted to curse at herself, and started burning her Iron, looking for any lines pointing to Vio.

So this is the origin of Hellbent's family?

I personally figure there would probably be three different factions around within the DA, the pro-city group, the anti-city group, and the neutrals. The pro-city group would probably want to do it out of curiosity, or the ability to run new experiments on the population. I'd figure there's probably also a sub-group that's going on a power-trip and wants to rule the place, and the defeat of the latter group would be the reason why the DA doesn't really have any people interested in taking over the place. The anti-city faction would want to avoid the creation of the city because of the potential for things to get out of control, endangering the alleys or their experiments, something that could actually be reasonable if the non-DA factions have higher power-levels than current-era guilds, or if non-DA guilds also have access to the ability to use the alleys. In the later case this could also explain as to why current-day guilds don't have this ability anymore, as a compromise for allowing the creation of the city this group instead worked together with the rest of the DA to block off the alleys. The neutral faction would comprise of people who either aren't interested in the outside world, instead just focusing on running experiments deep in the alleys, or they would function as observers in the conflict, curious about how it will work out or what will happen, possibly documenting everything as some sort of experiment, or they'd be neutral on the whole issue and just happen to aid a specific side or person out of interest.

I'm not sure, I think that with the Stranger's current plan there will probably be an element of guild politics, in the way that one member (or a small number) are trying to do something behind Voidus' back. But I think you can make a case for guild politics, given that IIRC there were multiple groups capable of using the alleys back then, so having DA splinter groups could make sense. It might even be the reason that loyalty spikes are used nowadays.

I open the package, finding a small metal ring. A tag on it says it's a brassmind, so I put it on my finger and start storing, relieved as the heat of the sun retreats. Not too useful, but at least it makes the desert a bit more comfortable, and keeps the amount of water I need down. It could also be nice at night, since I won't need any fire. I follow Sorana. "It's edible?" I ask, pointing at the fruit she's eating.
