  1. Let's not be too quick to assume it was Nightblood. At this point there may be multiple blades which bleed dark smoke on Roshar.
  2. Just an interesting observation, Cusicesh is said to cycle through a number of different faces, perhaps a link to 'The Faceless'?
  3. When Dalinar visits her, the Nightwatcher offers him 'A Blade that bleeds darkness and cannot be defeated. I can give it to you.' Is she referring to Nightblood here? Or perhaps something similar to what was used to kill Jezrien? Maybe another awakened blade like Azure had in her possession? I think the 'cannot be defeated' part lends well to Nightblood, but then does this imply it was hers to give at that point?
  4. Based on some plot threads in Oathbringer, what interactions may have happened offscreen or will probably happen in the next book? To get us started: Szeth and Dalinar - I feel like there needed to be a LOT of conversation before letting a guy who tried to kill you twice be your bodyguard i.e. explaining his status as Truthless, exposing Taravangian and the Death Rattles, how he came back from the dead. Adolin/Kaladin and Vasher/Nightblood - Nightblood fits the description of the sword Azure was looking for, and obviously they were told to tell Zahel that she was looking for him, so hopefully that stimulates some interesting discussion. Kaladin and Szeth - This is just an interaction I'm looking forward to for obvious reasons. Szeth and the Shin - Assuming next book is Szeth's (since it was a toss up between him and Dalinar for Book 3) I'm looking forward to finding out about his exile in more detail and expect him to carry out his Fourth Ideal quest to bring justice to the Shin (also when does he get a highspren Shardblade?)
  5. Just to clarify, Allomancy is of Preservation and Feruchemy is a blend of the two. From the Ars Aracanum of WoR, we know that Surgebinding is Honor+ Cultivation, there exists Voidbinding with 10 levels (perhaps of Odium and Honor since 'binding' implies oaths like Surgebinding does) and another, more esoteric magic (unlikely to be Old Magic) to be a mix of Odium and Cultivation?
  6. While yes, I do agree on that fact wrt Splinters, I was wondering on a larger scale. I.e. as a basic example, if one were to be able to split say Odium into Rage and Disgust or something of the sort. The Splinters you referred to are FAR below a Shard in power level, though I am talking about something to a level where, while weaker, still comparable to the level of power a Shard possesses.
  7. We know Splintering a Shard is similar to the Shattering. We also know that Harmony has made a new Shard as the sum of two other shards. Not sure if there is a WoB on this but is it possible to Splinter a Shard in such a way that it forms 2 or more smaller 'Shards' that two new vessels can then pick up?
  8. Exact;y Definitely. I just read it today and all the references to how he does not age and has power beyond regular people is eerily similar to TLR.
  9. We know by WoB that there is a Terriswoman present in Warbreaker, probably the nurse. I think this woman is Aslydin (the terriswoman who is in a relationship with Demoux at the end of HoA). Demoux, as we know, is a worldhopper also, and part of the 17th Shard. Sanderson has confirmed that Aslydin is also part of the 17th Shard (https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/2ytg2h/im_novelist_brandon_sanderson_ama/cpcrd4w), and so it makes sense for her to be a worldhopper too. We know of very few Terriswomen from the original trilogy, and Tindwyl was confirmed not to be the worldhopper so I think it makes the most sense for Aslydin to be this woman. Thoughts?
