  1. I can imagine Hoid playing a flute outside of the restaurant just for fun.

  6. I agree with the whole post, so I won't repeat what RacketLauncher already said. Also, welcome to the 17thShard, @RacketLauncher. I'm glad I gave you your first upvote.
  7. What about "Ideals are bulletproof"?
  8. I would rather converse with Hoid, though there is is a higher likelihood he might beat me up. Would you rather have Herdazian nails or Horneater teeth?
  9. I did a bunch of research and found out credit goes to @squirenonny on tumblr. If you want a second opinion try @Mr. Staccato's quiz too: https://www.onlineassessmenttool.com/the-surgebinder-within/assessment-40080
  10. IIRC the scene is of Dalinar looking at Eshonai and Michael Whelan, who did the art, mistakenly gave him the wrong cape color but Brandon didn't complain because a Whelan cover was a dream of his.
  11. It seems like people are disagreeing as to whether Windrunners or Bondsmiths are more of a god order. The way I see it, Windrunners are the most honor with their spren beng the purest Honor, while Bondsmiths have the biggest spren. Back to the original topic: Windrunners do seem opposed to Lightweavers with a conflict of Honor vs. Cryptic/Lying You can see they are connected with a diagonal lines. Lets compare others that are connected with diagonal lines. Edgedancers and Stonewards Their diagonal line is most similar to the WindrunnerLightweaver line. Edgedancer spren are like vines and vinestance favors adaptability (like a bending vine) while stonestance relies on being immobile (like a stone). I see Edgedancers as flexible and Stonewards as resolute. They seem to be good opposites. Description of Edgedancers that supports my thoughts: "their graceful, limber movements" ~in-world WoR
  12. I encourage you to share your post over at this post: Also, thanks for the update on "Letters from the Cosmere."
  13. I know that Jesonofnone is a parrot but that's why I thought it was funny.
  14. Or a pinch of copper. At first, I stayed away from most Sanderson novels because of size. (I thought I wouldn't have time.) Somehow there is always time to read, even when it's not the time to be reading. I regret having delayed reading some Sanderson books. The sooner the better. I feel like Mistborn is the best to get people into the Cosmere, but if they are iffy, they should start with Steelheart.
  15. Chickens are Cosmere. The 16th one must be Jeksonofnone.
  16. These images seem helpful for anyone who wants to make the models. Credit to Isaac Stewart and Ben McSweeny.
  17. I unsubscribed and resubscribed. It worked. I now have the June 2016 update.
  18. Brandon included the PoV that shows that spren don't change when you measure them. I feel like they would wait for the spren to be the size you want (eg. put a ruler by it and when it becomes the size you want, you use that), write the measurements to freeze them, and then somehow transfer them into properly cut gems. The measurement part seems really easy since it is based on perception.
  19. Tests should test your mastery of a subject without the use of aids. Of course, they wouldn't be stopped from using metalminds at work. But they should have mastered a subject enough to do well without metalminds. There's no knowing what could happen to cause one to lose their metalminds.
  20. I signed up for the newsletter on June 2nd and also got the Jan 2016 one.
  21. I think that Knights Radiant need to be quite exceptionally broken. It's definitely more than how broken one needs to be for allomancy. Of course, you also have to have the right temperament in addition to being broken.
  22. I think that when Shards invest themselves somewhere, their power gets physical manifestation. I think that Edgli's Tears would be another example of Shardic physical manifesttions. That being said, Honor is dead. Shardblades, being physical manifestations of splinters seems to go in the same category of Lerasium and Edgli's Tears. But this makes me wonder about seons. Hmm...
  23. I've tried Knights Radiant MBTI in my mind and the most you could assign to each Order is one or two letters. There's lots of space for personality. I'm an INTP Windrunner. (The Stormfather is a bit confused about it.) I put Kelsier as an ENTJ. Although he arrives late to places, his planning is superb. Plus, xxxJ would have it easier becoming the greatest crew leader.
