  1. I've written over 300 questions that will grill any Sanderson fan on the world of the Cosmere at http://Www.EloEverything.com !!!!!! If you have feedback please feel free to let me know and good luck getting the highest Elo Q: So what? Quizzes already exist on Quizup and Triviacrack Kingdoms. A: EloEverything is different for several reasons: 1- it uses a zero sum elo system to rate players AND questions meaning harder Questions get paired against higher ranked players 2- questions are in multiple categories so you get rated faster and more accurately. 3- players play the game by themselves and are ranked against others instead of arbitrary 1 v 1 matches. Q: what about spoilers? A: I've written the questions to quiz more on story details and not on plot points. You won't be asked about big reveals. However some spoilers are inevitable (that there are 16 metals, etc ) Q: what's the advantage of Elo? A: unlike linear scoring games like quizup where the highest rank goes to whose played the most Elo means you get the highest rank by defeating the hardest questions. It's more about talent not time. Q: are you adding more questions? A: yes! And anyone can add qUestions as well on the site. Q: won't that cause duplicate questions? A: possibly but because questions over time will group by Elo similar questions will cluster in the same Elo area so it won't bother players above out below them. I wouldn't write questions like "What does burning tin do?" But there Is a lot that can be asked still. Q: Is it free? A: absolutely. This is a labor of love and totally free now and always. Q: what's Elo? A: Elo is a ranking system invented by a German mathematician to more accurately predict chess player performance, It's a zero sum system where each player starts at 1,200 and losses and gains elo against other players. We took the exact same concept but have elo to questions as well as players. Q: when I answer a question I get different amounts of Elo in different categories. Why? A: it's all about what Elo you're at vs the question. If a question is 1600 in a category you're only 1100 in getting that question wrong won't lose you much since the difference is so great. But getting it correct will grant you a lot of Elo!
  2. the orbit only lasted 1,000 ish years which isn't very long. For all we know in 5,000 years the planet could have spiraled into the sun. the simplest argument for the Lord Ruler knowing all 16 is that the Bands of Morning contian all 16. He lived 1,000 years maybe he got it from the well or maybe he killed 1,000 mistborns burning various things.
  3. The reason a Kandra can't duplicate carapace just like they can't duplicate bones
  4. I'm not arguing he isn't LG he Is just less lawful than Dalinar.
  5. If TLR learned all 16 he didn't get it from the well of ascension. Vin's ascension came with no Allomantic knowledge and she was heavily invested in the study of allomancy. Anyone with enough allomantic steel can push or pull the planet.
  6. I don't think he knew of all 16 metals. The Well of Ascension doesn't give you intelligence you don't have and if he knew of all 16 metals why wouldn't he have better armed his beloved pets the Steel Inquisitors?
  7. they're pretty big (10 feet high 20 feet longish) and definitely would be an eyesore if you spotted one. At night no one is around to see them but where do they go in the day? do they burrow? I haven't read the first Mistborn in a while.
  8. "The dark mound—perhaps ten feet tall and twice as long—lurched forward in a strange, shuffling gait, and Vin leaned forward, trying to get a better look." - Mistborn: The Final Empire Without any blessings or intelligence an average mistwraith reached 10 feet in height eating nothing but what the barren final empire has to offer. Now imagine you have an intelligent Kandra being fed some soulcast food and you think it'd be impossible for him to do 5 times better? When Tensoon becomes a dog he is amazed by the increased senses he gets from the bones. the DNA in a Chasm fiend might even give the Kandra the ability to use a gemheart the same way Tensoon can smell better as a dog. It's easy for the Kandra. Easy Breezy.
  9. The reshi sea is really clear (and only 60 feet deep so why wouldn't it be I guess) so seeing the legs isn't because they're sticking out of the water. a Kandra could easily become a Ta-nai
  10. http://www.thedailysheeple.com/the-horror-blood-sucking-eels-rain-from-the-sky-in-alaska_062015 As often is the case, Reality is stranger than fiction.
  11. I wouldn't argue kaladin as being more lawful than dalinar though
  12. They break carapace with chisels (when shard isn't available) which are literally a metal spikes
  13. TaI-Na would be even easier since they're in water
  14. But the body they make isn't ( or at least dOesn't have to be ) an exact replica of the animal. Likely a Kandra Fiend would be even stronger than A Chasm Fiend
  15. Because they aren't Kandra. a kandra isn't natural selection it's intelligent design. Why do you think tensoon can turn into an animal stronger than any horse?
  16. Yeah but once you're full of muscles you're strong enough to lift the shell, plus gravity is weaker on Roshar
  17. The feminine arts require 1 hand typically but you can't play many instruments one handed.
  18. I don't think this would be a problem. Kandra don't breath even though they animate bodies that require breath to sustain them. so whatever function a gemheart performs I think a kandra could do without.
  19. so not only would it be super huge and strong but huge so it'd be super strong. even cooler!!!!
  20. Maybe "Rashek" could be Lawful Neutral but TLR (who he became 1,000 years later) pretty evil.
  21. all evil needs to succeed is for Neutral Neutral men to sit by and do nothing... I think thats how the quote goes.
  22. I really like Szeth Lawful neutral that was a good one. rofl Neutral Neutral stick
  23. by that definition Amaran is good evil for the sake of what you call good is neutral.
