  1. “For work,” Eryn told her. “And some play. Dress for rest of time. I wear dress. Is not so bad. You are wearing dress now.”
  2. While they waited, Kelsier and Trésor resumed their earlier conversation. ”Nine of Boxings,” Trésor said. ”Possible,” Kelsier acknowledged. “I rarely draw from that suit though.”
  3. Kelsier followed Lilli, using the sound of her footsteps and the vibrations they caused to guide him. He stepped around the vehicle, settling himself beside Trésor. “Roues.” ”Master Thaidakar,” the driver replied, inclining his head. He handed Trésor a light blanket which she passed to the back. ”You don’t have dusters,” she explained. “This will keep your clothes clean.”
  4. Trésor took a basket filled with the leftover pastries from the waiter, then headed out to motorcar. Roues waved, and she offered him a pastry before getting in to the vehicle. ”Great,” Kelsier said cheerfully, following Lilli out. “Trésor should be with the car. Do you see her?”
  5. Eryn shook her head firmly. “No. Child must have nice things. Look pretty. Trousers for sometimes, not all times.”
  6. Kelsier smiled. “Great! Then we’ll head out as soon as your friend is ready.” @AmazingGoob
  7. Kelsier smiled as he heard her footsteps approach. “Ready to go? How about you Hoblim?” @Trutharchivist
  8. “Eat more salt,” Kelsier suggested. “It sounds like you might have hypotension. Your heart was beating very rapidly after you passed out, which is another sign. Caffeine can help in short bursts, but that causes spikes so isn’t good for the long term.” He leaned back against the door frame, gaze focused in the direction of her breathing. “I’ll wait here while you gather your things, in case this happens again.”
  9. Kelsier frowned. “If it doesn’t pass immediately or is more severe than usual, contact my people. Do you know what usually triggers these spells?”
  10. Eryn shook her head. “Not for child.” She turned the pages toward the children’s section. “These for you.” She showed her a picture of dresses with large collars, narrow sleeves, and ruffled skirts that fell to mid-calf. Some of the dresses had long sleeves, while others had puffy cap sleeves. Some had a ribbon about the waist and others had a smock. ”Can be many colors,” Eryn added. “Will also get tunic and trousers for travel.”
  11. Eryn frowned. “Not nice,” she scolded. “Pick up.”
  12. Eryn sighed. “One grey dress. That fabric.” She pointed to a roll of shimmery silver-gray silk, woven through with pearly threads giving the impression of Mist trapped in fabric. “Will make nice dress for Sovereign’s daughter.” She lifted a folio from the counter and handed it to Zola. “See if like any dress.” The seamstress took down the fabric roll, then headed to the back for the pre-made clothes.
  13. The woman blinked, startled. Eryn sighed. “Needs dresses,” she explained. “And travel clothes. But does not want, ja?” The seamstress’ face cleared. “Ah. I have a few things ready made that could fit, but anything more ornate will take a few days.” Eryn nodded. “Is good. Will see what have and leave measurement for others.” She turned to Zola. “Like any fabric? Or color?”
  14. Eryn smiled and entered the store, a small bell ringing as she did so. A young woman glanced up from her embroidery. “Can I help you?”
  15. He nodded, storing his sight again. “But slowly. And if you start feeling dizzy, or nauseous, or start experiencing blurry or doubled vision, I want you to tell one of my people. If you can’t find one, go to my nearest church and draw my symbol,” he moved his finger through the air in the triple diamond shape of the Ghostbloods. “Someone will contact you.”
  16. Her pupils responded appropriately, which was a good sign. “Lightheaded,” Kelsier repeated. “Not dizzy?” He held up a single finger. “Track this with just your eyes. Don’t move your head.”
  17. “This way,” Eryn said, heading toward the seamstress’ shop.
  18. Kelsier frowned, not yet willing to let her get up. “That doesn’t mean you couldn’t have been hurt on your way down. Does anything hurt or feel bruised?” Regretfully, he stopped storing his normal vision, allowing him to check her pupils. They were the same size, and not overly constricted or dilated. Just to check, he moved his left hand so as to cast a shadow, then moved it away.
  19. “Your welcome,” he said cheerfully as he helped her up. “The puppeteer’s right, by the way. You should go rest.”
  20. Kelsier nodded. “Good.” He lightly ran a hand over Lilli’s scull, careful to keep head and neck in alignment as he checked the occipital areas. “There doesn’t seem to be any obvious bruising and these floors are wood. She should wake up soon, but I’d rather not risk moving her.” He smiled as Lilli moaned. “What did I say?” He laid one hand gently, but firmly, on her forehead. “Don’t move just yet. I need to make sure there’s no head trauma.”
  21. “You fell asleep in church.” He shot her an amused grin, offering a hand to help her up.
  22. “Welcome back,” Kelsier told her, amusement coloring his words.
  23. Kelsier frowned, standing up abruptly. Lilli fainted, he sent Trésor. Make my excuses to our remaining guest. He hurried up the stairs, cane in hand. Not that he needed it; he had the place memorized and with his tin on he could feel even the slightest vibrations. He could also just stop storing his sight, but that wouldn’t be nearly as fun. The Survivor stopped next Hoblim. “You can stop shouting,” he said dryly. “I’m pretty sure they heard you in Jagerheim. ”Now, what happened?” He knelt down next to Lilli’s body, checking her pulse and breathing. Both were steady, but her heart was beating unusually quickly. He placed his hands on either side of her jaw, forcing the airway open with one quick motion. “Did you find her here, or did you move her?” A potential head injury was of more immediate concern than the fainting spell.
