    It was aluminum; aluminum is the only Investiture blocking substance we know of. Apparently it’s not that easy to doulcast aluminum, as it ends up being a major Scadrian export. If it was that simple you’d expect it to be a Rosharan one, but it isn’t. Considering Lin Davar’s Ghostblood connections, there’s also the possibility that the necklace did not originate on Roshar.

    The double villain upgrade (although the ‘villain’ part is debated) was the reveal that Thaidakar is Kelsier. Which didn’t so much upgrade him (since he’s always been Thaidakar) as reveal that we’ve been SERIOUSLY underestimating the Ghostbloods, but it served the same purpose as a villain upgrade. Thanks for the update!

    Kelsier hasn’t worldhopped, but his people have definitely made it to Sel. If Shai is a GB though, she’s likely to be in the inner circle, so in closer contact with Kell than most of the Rosharan GBs appear to be.
