  2. @bleeder I wouldn't get along with people who take pleasure in tormenting their children either. (Or in tormenting anyone else, for that matter. I have no tolerance for bullies of any kind.)
  3. Well I do know that Nighthound was the reason for the creation of the "And Then They Died" thread, so... I can speculate. XD
  4. When the thing you look forward to most about the weekend is having the time to read more of the Reckoners RPG and meme about it.
  5. I have run out of upvotes for today. But seriously, I literally LOL'd at this. Are they firing spaghetti marinara out of their pistols? XD Also, I added some new memes to Memefying "What Happened in Portland."
  6. Got some new stuff from page 3! When you live in an Epic-controlled city and know what Electro can do: Trying to lie to a super-smart Epic like Altermind: Nighthound's the best at what he does, but what he does isn't very nice. The aftermath of Nighthound's arrival in Portland...
  7. I'm going to be really disappointed with myself if I can't get this one. 1. The Sphinx (became immortal at some point before the series started) 2. Kendra (fairykind) 3. Seth (shadow charmer) 4. Patton Burgess (fairystruck) 5. Coulter (pick one: his encounter with the revenant or becoming infected by the shadow plague) 6. The magically aged guys at that viviblix's place (can't remember their names, unfortunately) 7. Grandma Sorensen (turned into a chicken before beginning of book 1) If these answers are satisfactory, I shall pose a new question! WLIU name 6 legendary swords. (By "legendary" I just mean they have to have a name. Can be from a book, movie, myth, legend, etc.)
  8. Misophonia DOES suck. I had a similar experience when I was in the pit orchestra for a musical one year in high school. We rehearsed for like 3-4 hours after school every day, and one day our band director decided it would be a good idea if he sucked on a Tootsie Pop during rehearsal. That was one of the most difficult evenings of my life because he, too, was smacking his lips loudly and constantly. I was literally trying not to break down in tears by the end of the night. If it had been another student being obnoxious with a sucker, I would have asked them to please try to eat it more quietly, but my band director was not the kind of guy who would take kindly to that sort of request. (When I tried to back out of being in the pit orchestra after I found out that one of the performances was at the same time as my church services, he threatened to kick me off of the marching band's planned trip to New York City in the spring without a refund if I didn't stay.)
  9. Hey, I love hearing about the marching band. Congrats on your successful football team and more opportunities for band performances! @Darkness Ascendant It's a game that's easy to play with a class of school kids. Basically, the majority of the kids sit at desks while 7 of them (or if you have a smaller class, 3 or 4) are "it." The kids at the desks put their heads down so they can't see what's going on around them and make a "thumbs-up" with one hand. The "it" kids then go around and each pick one kid at a desk to press their thumb down. Once all the "it" kids have made their selections, they all gather at the front of the room and the teacher calls, "Heads up, 7 up!" which is the signal for the desk kids whose thumbs were pressed to stand up, and then they have to try to guess which of the "it" kids picked them. Anyone who gets correctly guessed has to sit down, and the kid who guessed them gets to be "it" for the next round.
  10. @PantsForSquares OH! This is my jam! Nuthatch Finch Owl Raven Hummingbird Cuckoo Plover Warbler Vulture Merganser Egret Gull And to answer my earlier question... Eastern Kingbird: Tyrannus tyrannus Grizzly bear: Ursus arctos horribilis Chinese mantis: Tenodera sinensis Human: Homo sapiens Fowler's toad: Bufo fowlerii And a fresh question.... WLIU name five elements from the periodic table and their chemical symbols.
  11. @Straw That one's been on my list for a while, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I gather from your all-nighter that you liked it a lot? Also I'm now reading The Sweet Sister by C David Belt. He wrote himself a cameo in the early chapters, which highly amused me.
  12. People driving their cars in the rain with their headlights off. It's been raining all day here and I've seen waaaay too many people driving without headlights. It's not just the law, people; it's common sense that will help you avoid getting KILLED when another driver doesn't see you because you were too stupid to turn your lights on.
  13. Looks like tonight was a bust. Going home.
  14. @Oversleep somewhat related: I starteda book ttoday in which the author wrote himself a cameo in the first few chapters.
  15. Well I'm in the Cougareat across from Pizza Hut If anyone else can make it tonight. XD
  16. Ok I guess I'll plan on showing up in the Cougareat at 7 and see if anyone else comes. XD With no idea how many to expect, though, whoever comes will have to Fend for themselves in terms of dinner.
  17. Soooo... Friday it is then?
  18. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles I plan to see Fantastic Beasts, if only to ogle Eddie Redmayne for two hours. XD Ever since I saw him as Marius in the 2012 Les Mis film, I've had a celebrity crush on him.
  19. @Quiver I'm really happy for you. I always sympathy-cringe when you tell us about the crem you have to deal with at your job, so I hope the new schedule makes your life easier.
  20. What @Mistrunner said. XD But I don't have much interest in dating right now.
  21. Tomorrow would probably work better for me since I've got some urgent hw to finish tonight.
  22. @Morzathoth got it.
  23. @mattig89ch You're on the right track, but the dead don't eat poverty.
  24. I'm good for either one, Thursday or Friday.
  25. I am also a big fan of the John Carter movie. I like the way they ended it better than where the plot went in the Barsoom books (at least the first 3 books, which are what I've read so far).
