Aww, it's all scruffy... That's a juvenile Mourning Dove; he/she probably just left the nest not very long ago.

If we start meeting twice a month, I can't guarantee that I'll make it every time, but that's no reason not to give it a try.

Ever since my grandpa put up a hummingbird feeder in our yard, we've been enjoying watching their antics as they chase each other around and each one tries to keep it all to themselves. Nah, it's no problem at all! Usually someone volunteers to provide pizza and root beer, and we try to get a count of who will be coming so we can buy the right amount of food. Feel free to bring snacks of your own if you like; you're exempt from pizza duty the first time you come. If you want to bring books or other paraphernalia, that's fine too, but certainly not required. These "meetings" generally consist of us just talking about the Sanderfandom or whatever comes to mind while we share the pizza. It's very chill. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing you at our next meeting!

We usually meet once a month and we've already gotten together for August, so the next one ought to be sometime in September. We haven't really discussed dates yet, but we'll pick from weekdays at 7pm in the Cougareat.

I had a dream last night that I was driving distracted and ended up barreling my car off a pier into a lake. Except it wasn't my actual car, which in real life is a Hyundai. In my dream I was driving a VW Beetle and somehow managed to get out of the car before it submerged completely. Climbed up onto the pier, sopping wet, but my phone was undamaged when I pulled it out of my pocket. And then there just happened to be a construction crane nearby, and the operator helpfully retrieved my car from the bottom of the lake.

When you come across the term "cognitive maps" at work and imagine a Rosharan cartographer mapping out the Cognitive Realm.

Zuko is my favorite from ATLA, but Toph and Iroh aren't far behind.

Re: food thieves, I haven't had a problem with them at work so far, but my grandma is an unapologetic food klepto. If I leave chips or donuts or ice cream anywhere she can see and reach it, she'll just eat it and then "apologize" when I confront her about it before doing the exact same thing two days later. I finally started keeping my chips and donuts on top of the fridge where she can neither see nor reach them, and only buying ice cream containing peanut butter because she dislikes peanut butter. Now that she can't walk to the fridge without assistance, though, my food is safe once more.

So there was a black widow spider waiting on my front porch to greet me after my grocery run this afternoon... What did I do? Ran for my camera and took photos, of course. XD (See spoiler)
