Ok, I'll give it a shot... (But be warned, I'm pretty sure I've never even seen Rotten Tomatoes's list.) 1. Citizen Kane 2. The Godfather 3. Titanic 4. Gone With the Wind 5. Star Wars Episode IV 6. James Cameron's Avatar ... I'm out of ideas. Anyone else wanna lend a hand?

That's so cool, Slowswift!

I'm fully aware of the existence and availability of the prose version, but @Unhinged said he was going to Barnes and Noble to get it and therefore must have been talking about the graphic novel, since you can't buy the prose version in bookstores.

I'm just sitting here imagining Nightblood saying that and cracking up...

Hmm... WLIU name 15 languages--real or fictional is fine.

Okay, I'm really confused now... You both say you've got White Sand, but GoodReads says the release date is June 21 and Amazon says it's June 28. And I can't find a post on brandonsanderson.com with an exact release date for it. Halp?

Inheritance spoilers: I can add another method of assassination: the death of Maldor in Brandon Mull's Beyonders trilogy (more spoilers):

@Oversleep That quote you posted reminds me of this joke, which I have also seen in T-shirt form:

This is the kind of things Sanderfans who are also English Language majors think about in the shower...

I will--I had to repair my last pair of gloves after the same thing happened, albeit not so soon. It's just annoying that this pair couldn't hold together for even one day before needing to be fixed.

I used to have what appeared to be an allergic reaction to cat hair when I got it on my face, in my nose, or on my bedding, but it doesn't happen anymore, weirdly. I've been living in the same house as like 10 cats for the past three years, so you'd think it would've gotten worse instead of better, but maybe I've gotten desensitized or something... Over this past winter, my grandpa (who I live with) took in a tiny stray kitten he found outside in the snow. There was no sign of the mother, and we were sure he'd freeze to death if we left him out there. At first he was quite feral, hissing at us even when we tried to feed him kitten formula from a baby bottle, but over time he got used to us. My grandpa even named him Happy since he's so friendly now. What's really funny is that I'm the only one Happy will allow to pick him up and cuddle him. If I call him, he comes running and will jump right up onto my lap and into my arms and stay there, sometimes for 30 minutes, while I pet him. And he's constantly trying to snuggle closer to my face, giving me nose kisses and purring. Sometimes he'll sit on my shoulder like a parrot. XD But most of the time if my grandpa tries to pick him up, Happy starts tackling his hand and play-biting.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

My family reunions are almost always the second kind since my parents, my brother, and I have lived on the opposite side of the country from the majority of my extended family for most of my life. -
So a few days ago I broke out a new pair of fingerless gloves, and by the end of my first day of wearing them, one of the fingers was already coming unstitched. :/

I read a blog post from an author recently in which he told the story of having a mother come up to him and ask why she should let her elementary- school son read "that fiction garbage." And my immediate reaction was "FIGHT ME!"

I think of sausages and hot dogs as fundamentally different foods (that is, one does not turn into the other just because of how you dress it up when you eat it), but I'm not sure how to define the difference. Hmm. Maybe it's that sausages have more potent spices and rougher texture? I dunno.

Saw "Now You See Me 2" in theaters yesterday. Storming fantastic!! I think possibly even better than the first one. (Oh and fun fact: the famous magician David Copperfield co-produced this movie.) Update: FINALLY finished watching the current seasons of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Flash spoilers: Legends of Tomorrow spoilers:

When I'm trying to drink water and start choking out of nowhere... This happens to me several times a week, at least. And then everybody looks at me like they're preparing to rush over and give me the Heimlich until I gasp, "I'm okay..."

!!! Thank you for reminding me of this release date! *runs to put it on hold at the library* Also, finished reading Splintered by AG Howard (a fresh but rather twisted take on Alice in Wonderland) and Riders by Veronica Rossi (four Horsemen of the Apocalypse) today. I quite enjoyed both of them and am looking forward to the next books in both series. Next up is Clan Ground by Clare Bell.

I hope this person is okay! Have they had seizures before? Reminds me of some things that happened my senior year of high school... That year, I was in the marching band and then in the wind ensemble once the marching season ended. We had three people pass out during rehearsals that year. One happened during marching season while the wind players were doing breathing exercises in the parking lot. I was in the drumline, which was warming up elsewhere at the time, so I didn't witness this personally, but apparently one of the trumpets just did a faceplant right in the asphalt after overextending himself during the breathing exercise. The second faint happened when the wind ensemble was onstage rehearsing for an upcoming concert. One of our low brass players (either a tuba or a euphonium, I forget) just kind of fell out of her chair onto the floor unconscious. The third faint that year was me. I play the oboe, and we were just warming up with scales in the band room, and apparently I wasn't letting enough of the pent-up air in my lungs out--oboists have to force air through a very tiny opening into the instrument, so it's impossible to completely empty your lungs only into the oboe and then fill up with fresh air by the time your body needs it. If you want fresh air, you have to exhale outside the instrument at some point. So anyway, I woke up on the floor with my glasses knocked off my face, and the directors (my high school had three) were all so worried about me that they called down to the nurse's office and made me wait to get up until they'd brought a wheelchair down to take me to the nurse. Neither I nor any of the other two people who passed out that year suffered any further ill effects past falling over, thankfully.

I'd rather have the site crash on me every time, provided I could still access it after that. Not much different than waiting for my slow-as-a-chull laptop startup. Would you rather be transformed into a chull or a chasmfiend (retaining your human awareness either way)?

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

I'm just disappointed that there is still no trade paperback of WoR. I don't really like hardcovers, and it's too long a book for me to really be comfortable with the mass market. -
If you won a contest, then why the "Sorry" in the subject line?

In my experience with other forums, failing to close a spoiler tag properly will result in the BBCode tags being visible in the post as regular text, so I would think that you would be able to go back and edit the post and fix it.
