Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole

One equals two, think you? Two kills spills more blood than one or none, it's true! Who else among this set? Who else not tested yet? I have no inclination or information regarding the potential of Quintessential. All else held equal, I'd rather a sequel. I'd sooner get to know them before I throw them to death by shibboleth. Still, there are worse options to converse. I vote to float my boat. Alas, the inscrutable is irrefutable Time stuff, time fluff. Anybody know how it works, what are the perks? Does the curse work in reverse? Hard to draw a conclusion with such confusion about what to even believe in. We can analyze the action, but it all seems a distraction.- 683 replies

I voted for your noose, silly goose! Are you so tough that's not enough? Think you to ignore my war? Dastardly trick by dastardly Stick! I don't see this is a plus which is a bit sus, but I'll chalk it up to a difference of opinion. Were I in dominion, I wouldn't waste a shot, I ought make haste with it! Seeing how the here and now is short: 2 turns to thwart the Bandersnatch and catch the Jabberwock before the clock runs down for the town. If we're indeed of the same creed and on the same team, it would seem you'd rather peace of mind than a win for our kind. Stick is still my pick but I agree she has a point here, Wonko be a dear and be clear about this case to chase TKN in our PM? Is it really best to chance the dance on the enemy having messed up?- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole

Aye, if your mind is inclined to theory then that's the relevant query. But see, if there are people who did they'll stay hid -- I don't reckon they'll check in. I feel this might be key but I can't for the life of me foresee to what degree. It's a bitter pill, but you know the drill, kill analysis is always uphill. Or it might just be luck and this quest will get us stuck. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯- 683 replies

It seems strange that for a change both attacks would coincide in the same homicide. How much leeway do we give the death of TJ? Is there any evidence that it's not a coincidence?- 683 replies

A worthy attempt, thus you are exempt from my contempt! Good of you not to shirk on your homework. Edit: Is there any reason it's not the season to mass claim and win the game? It seems to me the evil roles may not be free: they have a cost to them if other roles are lost to them. Or maybe not, but its worth a shot, would you expect this is correct?- 683 replies

Quick Fix Game 67: Down the Rabbit-Hole

Time travel, unravel, no sense says I! But I won't pry. Idle chatter doesn't matter, I'd sooner vote for the mad hatter! Why debate the metaphysical nature of "time's curse" when we could instead debate who ends up in a hearse? What's going on? I have no clue. But come dusk or dawn, bloodthirst is true. Stick. I'm just here to hit for a bit. And hit I shall! Here's my rationale: Relative to some, I've made a transition to a disadvantaged position, which belies my ambition. In addition, I'm on a mission, one that starts with the deposition of a certain fell apparition. I won't ask your permission, though you have my contrition for the imposition. This is no inquisition: I have no sound suspicion nor premonition (by my admission, my intuition has gone to perdition) but it strikes me that, by the GMs rendition, the game's a competition. Now, I'm no statistician, but my supposition is you're the only known player whose win-condition came to fruition in the previous edition of the minigame. Thusly, you seem to be my opposition, by definition. I seek no coalition, my disposition is rather one of attrition and perhaps sedition. So taste my munition! That is to say: Eat lead! Off with your head and sever your thread, I vote you dead!- 683 replies

Quite a writeup. I didn't get to do much but good game all It kinda occurred to me that Szeth was an odd sabotage choice in the context it happened because it seemed like Szeth's village flip ultimately removed what breathing room the Skindancers had left, but I didn't think about it much because by the time I was free from the Crockery it was largely moot. Anyyyways I suppose I had better keep my word >> @Matrim's Dice @Steeldancer @|TJ| @Szeth_Pancakes @STINK Consider all of urselves @ for not filing ur EPs Yes I am aware of the irony that more than half of you were Skindancers That is all -

Long Game 96: KKC in the Modern Age

sure ok Archer I'm game to throw down with u sir (yea I'm only single-voting you, not double-voting you back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) [quoted from last turn but y'know quoting things with locked threads is funk] Purely to rile you up :P. Your RP stream is fine, but I wanted to see how far you'd go to push that vote Steel actually kinda fits my elim profile, which is mostly RP and staying out of sight. And maybe stalling initially while they strategize. Their opening Mat vote was very safe and justifiable, while helping get some votes down to add certainty. ok so first thing's first, the bit you've repeatedly quoted where I said I didn't know anyone do u think I Drake do not know the other players in this game or do u think this is an RP bit because we're playing new students smh it was surrounded in a bunch of other pure RP with zero game analysis idk man Second of all: Sure I could have done other things like create a 3-way tie or double up on one of you/mat but see I didn't want to. As you've stated, everyone can cast 2 votes so a situation where the top wagons are all still only at 2 votes that late in the day isn't actually great? Why is that a thing I should want. As for suspicions... Well yea Mat's self-vote paired with a clear lack of desire to actually be expelled seemed kinda performative, and yea you were doing things I didn't really know how to parse, but if I had some big fancy reasoning or confident suspicion I would've actually said it. I didn't. I could have honestly just as well voted for Ashbringer or Wonko for the kind of profile they currently fit except one of them is my RP bro and the other is a returning player and besides the fact that you and Mat already had votes is a feature not a bug!! In such situations, I throw out votes to maximize pressure. If I doubled up on one of you guys then the other one would feel safe. When I voted for both of you that solidified both of you as being in danger, especially in this game where multiple people can go on the horns. So I vote to create pressure and then see if I have a compelling reason to remove my vote. It aint fair but SE lynching isn't exactly due process of law now is it And it's sound way of catching elims. You've been unusually defensive, both of yourself and Steel, and while I realize villagers can do this also I am still waiting on any reason to village read you and back off. Third of all, if your behavior D1 was a big baity plan then I repeat my earlier question, what specifically did you set up to be baity? @Kasimir yea the sad thing is though nobody bit so it's time to evolve to being claim baity in the thread! If you are Cealdish, message me, please I have a grand and epic plan. I really need a business partner for it. Apparently being more subtle about things just doesn't cover much ground! And I still believe the game will be solidly on the faster side of the pacing spectrum. If you think about it a little and you've actually read the rules, you can probably figure it out. Yes it is very possible the elims will clue in to what I'm planning because I've been this outre about it but... Well they are free to try to stop me >:P I find this an interesting choice but I'm aware it's also not that rare of a type of attack doctrine Still Thinking About my second vote.- 692 replies

btw, PSA! please everyone get your EP orders in! absolutely any field that suits your fancy they are all very good, they are all very useful in their way even if they may not seem like much (ily Arithmetics >:P), just file those EP somewhere it doesn't take very long!! if I'm feeling charitable the elims are probably coordinating somewhat intelligently for their elevations, and while similar levels of coordination was never in the cards on the village side how about we actually play to our strength and throw our numbers around? to be clear, what that looks like is everyone filing their EP >:P regardless of what you even do with the abilities (which I repeat are all super useful), every villager filing EP is helping crowd out the elims from getting elevations, and that in of itself is important it's especially important because there's a momentum aspect to it, compared to your average game it's not really something you can play catch up on if you've already sat on your hands for too long: if you've missed cycles 1-3 of submitting orders, you can't really make up for it by submitting a really clutch action on cycle 4, because if you've missed cycles 1-3 you won't have any good actions to use because you get those by filing ur dang EPs >:( if I see the master spreadsheet after the game and i see u haven't been filing ur EP i will @ u in the aftermath and personally attack u over it see if I don't >:(- 692 replies

smhhhhhhhhhhh the wealthy asking for bribes from commoners this is exactly why we need to build communism >:( In any case, if I'm not missing anything profound then in that case I'm certainly keeping my votes parked Tbh, I don't really see having votes that are creative as remotely a priority. There is no inherent context-free value in voting the same or differently from other people. What matters most is the accuracy of your vote not its originality. Barring that... Sometimes there is value in diversifying the vote. If there is already a strong wagon solidifed and you want to play devil's advocate, or if you genuinely think the existing wagons are bad, or if you believe you've picked up on something others haven't. Sometimes there is value in consolidating the vote. If the votes are scattered or coming in slowly and you want people to get serious, or if you want to apply pressure and see what follows from it, or if its the end of the cycle and your preferred vote isn't going much of anywhere. Sometimes neither is really applicable, like at the very beginning of the cycle where the vote hasn't really taken shape yet. It's contextual, don't you agree? So... Which context do you think we're in right now? Can you explain to me why a diversified vote is a good idea right now? Also, what exactly have you been doing to bait a bad vote?- 692 replies

Several Hours Displaced From ALC102 In No Particular Direction Percyl sat alone in his small second-story room in the Golden Pony, late in the evening, supping a cup of chamomile tea. A half-finished assignment scrawled across lined paper lay abandoned on the floor. In front of him was a digital form. Student Complaints Apparently, the school was taking the rumors of Skindancers seriously. There were hints that regularly filling out complaints was a way to get a lower tuition fee. This was the sort of opportunity Percyl had been waiting for, a chance to put his sleuthing skills to the test. Who was there to complain about, though? He didn't know anyone yet. The only other student he really interacted with was Issal, and he didn't particularly have any ill will towards Issal. Could he be a demon in human guise? Maybe. Inconclusive. That was what the disguise was for. He would need to find a way to surreptitiously try out some of his talismans on the other student, or somehow slip him holy water to drink. He had read about a Tehlin Justice catching a demon in that way once. Granted, the work of literature was fictional, but stories have a grain of truth to them, right? And surely there would be no harm in putting it to the test. Was there another avenue to investigate? Experimentally, Percyl edited the address of the form. "Aha." The Head of Security's expertise apparently didn't extend to cybersecurity. Or maybe the University just didn't care about keeping the complaints anonymous. Either way, a minor path traversal attack did the trick. It wouldn't hurt anyone. A little bit of finagling, and he could see what complaints the other students had filed all tallied up in one place. Vote Tally Archer (3): Araris Valerian, The Known Novel, Drake Matrim's Dice (3): Matrim's Dice, Steeldancer, Drake Steeldancer (1): Kasimir Kasimir (1): Archer Szeth_Pancakes (1): JNV JNV (1): Archer Archer Matrim fight fight fight note that due to lower player counts and no day/night split the game is actually going to be pretty darn fast-paced so maybe get those votes in this observation is not mine it is courtesy of Kas tbh but Kas is basically the textbook definition of why there are tuition rules about heavy PM activity so there u go- 692 replies

Long Game 96: KKC in the Modern Age

[OOC: why not! it's the Modern Age :eyes:] "Ah, you've heard of it! It is said to be like a reagent, but also like many other things. It has many shapes, many names. According to an order of ancient hermits of the Eld, it is the essence of change and perpetuity, that which opens doors to other places along the Chain. According to a renegade scholar of Ademre, it is the visceral embodiment of the Lethani." "There is a question of permeation, yes. Even if it were to transform whatever it touches, how far does that transformation propagate? Does it spread through different materials at different rates?" Percyl asked excitedly. "There are no hard numbers on anything like that in the histories, of course. It would be something that requires experimentation, assuming it could be tracked down in the first place. A find like that would be one for the books, wouldn't you say? Of course, there is also the fabulous wealth that it would entail..." Percyl's eyes glazed over. "Latria? That is a ways away. I hope the voyage was pleasant." Percyl had no idea where or what Latria was, but wasn't about to let on to this fact. Mayhaps it was one of the Small Kingdoms? It was easy to lose track of them all. "I'm from Ralien. Do you know where Ralien is? It's a rather large city to the North of here."- 692 replies
