Well, I mean there's Ash. She's all but confirmed to be a main character. She's going to have her own POV book...
-
I agree. She also seeks freedom from paralysis.

Sounds cool. A few things: Edgedancers are more healers than scouts. Dustbringers are pretty mobile with abrasion already, but you're right - using abrasion on a flying creature would be insane. Who says Rysn will be a Dustbringer?

Truthwatcher Oaths: 2. I will seek truth. 3. I will not take other people's word as truth without first confirming it for myself. 4. I will publish truth, and work to apply it for the benefit of all people. 5. Truth as i know it may be limited to available facts and resources. I will seek universal truth.

Solo? Do you play against the game itself or just go through the motions until you've met the objectives?

theory Willshapers and Spiritual Cohesion
Watchcry replied to KandraAllomancer's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I personally think all surges have applications in all three realms, but that some order's surges (like Bondsmiths) have more potency in a given realm than others. I think orders on the KR double eye chart show this. Bondsmiths and Truthwatchers being in the middle are stronger in the spiritual realm, those on the right side of the chart have more potency in the physical realm, and orders on the left have more potency cognitively.- 31 replies

theory Willshapers and Spiritual Cohesion
Watchcry replied to KandraAllomancer's topic in Cosmere Discussion
So they can be traced for a short period after one transfers in between realms. If you recall Jasnah's deleted scene, when Jasnah arrived to the cognitive realm after being stabbed in the chest, there was a distinct residual scar left in the space through which she transitioned. I'm not sure if you saw the movie Jumper, but they had the same concept, except they could use those residual scars to follow behind other teleporters. I don't see it as an impossibility for another Elsecaller or Willshaper to do the same.- 31 replies

Truthwatcher Oaths(Like Willshaper Oaths based on what we have)

Their oaths are also themed around those those concepts as well, according to the new information released last month. -

Herald's didn't run out of stormlight back then because honor was still alive. Their blades had direct, unlimited access to honor (and stormlight).- 31 replies

So I'm actually able to swear oaths for many orders. Mainly: Willshapers, Dustbringers, Lightweavers, Elsecallers, Truthwatchers, Skybreakers. I've only thought about Dustbringers so far. It's pretty funny, but here goes: Dustbringers: self mastery oaths - 2. I will refrain from being immature with my 3 year old and eliminate derogatory naming convention adjectives such as "butt" and "fart" from my vocabulary. 3. I will limit the time I spend on my favorite social media apps and dedicate that time equally towards my family, God, and yardwork. 4. I will eliminate profanity from my vocabulary. 5. I will abstain from harmful substances, to include alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and pornography.

Got any juicy truths to share with us?

theory Willshapers and Spiritual Cohesion
Watchcry replied to KandraAllomancer's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'm on the fence whether or not Willshapers can teleport. For teleportation: the spiritual realm is all places at once. Willshapers might be able to use cohesion to link the physical realm to the spiritual one and teleport that way. Against teleportation: Kalak didn't use it in the Way of Kings prologue. If he could teleport, he would have been among the first at the rendezvous point to abandon his honorblade. Instead he was the very last.- 31 replies

Truthwatcher Oaths(Like Willshaper Oaths based on what we have)
Watchcry replied to Karger's topic in Stormlight Archive
Willshapers and Libertarians DO believe in letting people believe what they want. That's what freedom is. That's the definition of those organizations. -
Truthwatcher Oaths(Like Willshaper Oaths based on what we have)
Watchcry replied to Karger's topic in Stormlight Archive
Your fourth oath sounds more like a Willshaper/ Libertarian oath. But it could definitely be a Truthwatcher one. We'll just have to see! -
Haven't heard of that theory, but sounds good. Plus there'd be checks and balances.

I partly agree. Those who have been vessels for longer are more susceptible to the intent of the shard. If you remember in Misborn a certain person was less bound by the intent than the other, which worked out for the protagonists. Dalinar would have more of his facilities about him instead of be a slave to the pure intent of honor. After all, that is what lead to Tanavasts demise.

Most destructive doesn't quite equate to most terrifying but it's possible.

Lightweavers can also soulcast at a distance. Also, it's not 100% confirmed that Lightweavers can use Transformation to add extra weight to their illusions. While Jasnah is usually right, it could also be the amount of stormlight that Shallan used, as investiture carries is own weight.

Heraldic Apotheosis and the Power of Mismatched Surges
Watchcry replied to honorblades's topic in Stormlight Archive
200km with one full lashing, right? With two or three you'd go much faster. -
In Jasnah's WoR POV that didn't make the book's cut, she sees the scar that was left when she moved into Shadesmar after being stabbed on the boat. They can teleport back (with enough Stormlight). Also, they have the Surge of Transportation that does permit them to use surges far away. Jasnah did it in Thaylenah. And I believe Willshapers can use cohesion from a distance. We'll see soon!

Elsecallers could go to CR and lay in wait of a Skybreaker then jump out to attack. But honestly a Willshaper could do the same except (like someone already said) bury them. You just follow their light from the other side. Wait to pounce when you know they think you're gone.
