Anniversary Game 2: Return of the Koloss
Mark IV replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, the way I see it- 1) Maill is good- he's trying to keep himself alive. He's deflecting the seeking so that the seeker group will gain a member, and also so that the eliminators don't know who was seeked. (I know. This is too simplified) 2) Maill is evil - He's given a good enough reason to seek other players instead if himself, thus avoiding suspicion on himself via the fact that his seeking was blocked. Gives reason that the eliminator smoker played mischief. Also explains why he wasn't killed in a simpler manner. I myself am quite confused as to which standpoint I am on. So, I decided to post this to clear my thoughts. EDIT:Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. -

@Kipper- I've got 2 questions- 1)So, Maill knew who Jake was? 2)Perhaps there really are 2 seeker groups. 'Cause if Maill were a proxy for a proxy in Jake's, then he wouldn't really know who Jake was, would he? -
Anniversary Game 2: Return of the Koloss

From the corner, he had a good view of everyone participating in the discussion, or sitting at the sides eating desert and enjoying the show. Maill was in one section, plotting and hatching schemes while Kipper in another, offering information. It seemed that everyone had a role. Yet, a few of them were Stine cold killers. It gave him a chill at how someone could talk so sweetly with the dawn of the day, yet kill so relentlessly with the advent of the night. Looking around, he saw some people busy, going about their business. Hmmm.... thought Four, poor El, she's working even now to make medicine for us. Even now that her home was no more. Perhaps the least he could do was offer her some space in his 'home', if it could be called that. So, going over possible ways that the conversation could go, he went over to her. Perhaps she would just greatfully accept his offer. Or maybe she would decline it and instead scream at him for thinking her weak. But he thought that that could possibly only result from the trauma of losing one's home. Or maybe, she would be in shock from seeing her mentor killed and her home destroyed. Finally, after an eternity, he had closed the distance to her. She turned to him, her face inquisitive. He asked her, " El, ummm, seeing as you, sort of, lost your house to fire, do you want to.... I mean would you like to sleep in my house? It's not got a door, but it does have a roof. You wouldn't be so cold. I mean you did heal my back when it cramped up, didn't you? So, I thought I could offer you shelter for a night. " --------------------------- El, I don't really know how your character would reply, so, I leave it up to you to continue. -
Long Game 16: The Empty Throne Part 2: The Catacombs

Well, I would like to sign up for this game too, if that's a good idea. I'll probably be Marr, the guy with a scar. On his eyebrow. Too close to the eye. Most people are deterred from talking to him due to the prominent scar, but, in reality, he's a nice person. Phew.... my first 'complicated' game....- 529 replies

Anniversary Game 2: Return of the Koloss
Mark IV replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The way I see it is that the seeker can't really tell anyone whom they scanned and found to be (not) guilty. If they do post, the eliminators will definately know that they are the seeker. So, how do the seekers post their results? The one to post will be proved seeker. So, to combat that, perhaps a person who is not the seeker could post first? Perhaps? Or post in the order of their alphabetical names in each group, with the seekers message containing the message? Assuming they have set up a code. This is just an idea that I am proposing 'cause I thought that the first person to post could identified as the seeker, and then potentially become a target. Edit:I just read Wilson's PSA in the previous cycle. Perhaps you could use a cypher with the key as your initial letters in alphabetical order. And then encrypt the plaintext like that. Also, El, our RP is coming in. Just give me a few minutes. -

Me? Active? I barely get 4 hours anymore, out of which, I'm busy for 2 hours, eating dinner for half an hour, and so, I get 1 and a half our to myself. That's very less amout of time, by my reckoning atleast. -

I'm not saying I'm innocent. I'm just saying that HS was innocent. I could also have been an eliminator who knew everyone's alignment, therefore having a guarantee that HS was innocent. The point I was trying to make was simply that you shouldn't have lynched HS. Apparently, this never got posted. It was supposed to go up 12 hours ago. -

Oops! My fault. El didn't remove her vote. You manipulated her via PMs, the way I see it atleast. -

I see a few possibilities- 1) Wyrm is spiked- Then, his team's move to kill Stink was quite predictable, but he would've alignment claimed by now IMO. 2) HS is spiked- I'm not inclined to believe this one (as you all could guess), but I feel that the Spiked's main motive in killing Stink was to cast suspicion on wyrm, and create one less buffer in stopping PMs, and subsequently, the Seeker groups, so, I don't think one of them would have been eager to step into the spotlight, and vote first. 3) Elbereth is Spiked- I don't really think that this one is correct either, but, if El were spiked, I think she wouldn't oppose, HS' vote on Wyrm. She would instead have let the bandwagon form, and get Wyrm lynched if she were spiked. 4) Maill is spiked- This one would fit quite nicely, IMO because Maill is manipulating El into voting for HS who is voting for Wyrm. This casts little light on him, while 2 other villagers are forced into the Spotlight of Scrutiny. Later, when El withdrew her vote, Maill followe'd suit, and this also fits quite nicely with the theory. (This is just IMO though. Voice your thought if you concur or if you disagree.) Your views? Also, I hope this is contribution enough, 'cause I still won't be able to post much. -
Atleast that's what I'm doing..Also, I have no idea what will shapers are as of yet, so, I have no comparison

Thanks El. I agree with wyrm. I feel that the (possibly) spiked rioters/soothers would have left the vote alone because they were comfortable with a villager being lyched. On the other hand if they were villagers, they would have had a suspicions on venture, or else they would have changed the votes. That's my opinion. Or, they just went inactive. IDK really. I was hoping for some manipulation this time, cause that would have given us more information. EDIT: In Meta's next game, I should really call myself 'No Votes'. That would be hilarious! EDIT: Yay! 100 posts! -

Could someone post a vote tally from the last cycle? We could check who was manipulated by that method. I'm busy right now, so, I can't do it. Thanks. -

Just a question, but what do the numbers in the parenthesis mean? Do they signify that the vote is the first/second/third vote of the person? -
